What I've been up to.

We enabled automated topic moving to the right section. We've uncovered many mistakes which we're fixing.

We've added support for high resolution banner ads on Nairaland:
The format is 636 x 212 px which is double width and height of the low resolution ads. Compress as JPEG 4:4:4, 90-95% accuracy.
Your ads will look very sharp on your customers' HD mobile phones.

We've formalized the handling of adult service ads.

Updated the guide to placing ads on Nairaland.

Dear Auto Sellers on Nairaland,

We recently discovered a bug that caused many topics posted in the Autos section to be automatically moved to the Adverts section. Some of these topics were then incorrectly marked as spam by a moderator who thought people were posting in the wrong section intentionally.

We've fixed the bug and have restored most affected topics. If your topic was hidden or you noticed it disappeared from Autos in the past few weeks, and it has not been restored, please post your complaint on this thread for quick action.

We apologize for the inconvenience and any frustration this caused. Autos remains the right section for your vehicle listings.

Most of the things Westves mentioned are absolutely correct. They are things I have said to my staff many times. I'm trying to get into the habit of reporting progress. Even if it's just improved smilies.
