Please beware of scanfrost product. My family narrowly escaped death during lockdown due to fire explosion that emanated from our newly purchased scanfrost cooker. ( it was bought in February 2020 via Jumia and got exploded April 2020).

I later called scanfrost customer care to complain and they sent their technician to check it.

The technician apologised and claimed it was factory fault that their company (scanfrost) will come and pick it. A week later they sent another team to pick the cooker for repair.

For close to two months I was calling and they kept on promising they will bring it by weekend, the weekend came and gone, they promised another weekend. When I got tired I had to call their staff that came to pick it and he promised to assist.

I got a call from them June 29 that they will bring it on or before June 30. Another call came June 01 asking me if they left the gas burner in my house of which I told them they did not. Till the end of the week they did not bring it.

On June 6, they called me again for same burner and I explain to them that they went with it. Apparently they misplaced the burner.

Today June 8, they called that they were bringing the cooker back to my house. By the time they got to my place we noticed that they put another substandard burner and they were told that they should test the cooker, the first thing we noticed was that the cooker was working at lowest output and the burner was even melting on first use.

They now start giving flimsy excuses. Later they agreed to take the cooker back and said I should come to their workshop to see their bosses.

Why would companies such as New Home Products Industries Ltd failed to honour warranty issued on their product thereby making Nigerians suffer even on their hard earned money.

Well this is just to let Nairalanders out there and other Nigerians to beware of scanfrost products because its substandard and dangerous to be used in our various homes.

CBN removed the management of the bank due to poor performance of the bank and appointed new management after which over 700 billion naira was injected into the bank.

What happened to the 786 billion naira injected to the bank?

That amount is enough to turn around the bank but CBN appointed management squandered and stole the money and you come here saying that you retain the management due to their performance so you can pump another tax payers money into the bank.

When this problems started, how much was the banks total deposit?
Definitely not up to 700 billion.

So why did CBN refused to pay the depositors and liquidate the bank or sell the bank to another investor.

786 billion naira can establish minimum of 15 new commercial banks that would even employ more Nigerians.
Shame on CBN and their management the way they chose to steal public funds indirectly.

That’s why I decided to quit the system about a year ago and leave for other country that have sane central bank and environment.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has withdrawn the operating license of Skye Bank.

CBN Governor, Godwin Emefile announced the decision of Friday evening in Lagos.

Polaris Bank has been established to assume ownership of the assets and liabilities of Skye Bank.

The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation has injected N786bn in the new bank.

The management of the defunct bank was however retained for its good performance.

The defunct Skye Bank has been on CBN’s lifeline since July 2016 and the apex bank says it can no longer continue to intervene to keep the balance liquid.?

I had been battling an overheating problem for over a year and didn't know how to solve the problem.

The overheating only occurred when the AC was switched on like 95% of the time, the other times, it happened when i was revving the car at high RPMS (speeding tins), like bet 5000-6000 RPM.

The history was, i had taken out the thermostat, fixed all leaks, bought a used Radiator***, switched out regular

water for high quality premixed coolant.

Now the funny thing is, I took this car to Total close to Palms mall, Total off Lekki Epe, took it some kazeems, took it to Elizade and they all said that I needed to change my Head Gasket.

I told all of them that through my research on the internet, my car possess no signs of a failed head gasket. Though I understood that sometimes signs like water in the oil pan and excessive smoke billowing from the exhaust might not show immediately, but I was still very reluctant to believe that I could have blown a head gasket without any signs whatsoever.

So all of them wanted to change my gasket, I even got a quote for 20k (all inclusive) to change it and I started to wonder; like, what kind of gasket is this guy going to put in my car for 20k

Funny thing is, I know how precise those things need to be. I have seen videos of guys machining cylinder heads so meticulously, just to get a perfect seal with the gasket and i started to wonder again, if these guys will take all that sweet time on my car to do a good job.

Fast forward to later, my sister told me to go see her Mechanic ( a Lebanese guy) and the guy agreed with me that the AC condenser was causing the car to get too hot and it was either the AC system was too hot or the radiator wasn't dropping enough heat from the vehicle.

***remember when I said I got a used radiator Bad move

So he advised that I switch out the Radiator for a Brand New one and switch out the condenser as well, flushed the AC system, adjusted gas and voila!!!!

Car runs super duper cool, like... it doesn't even get to operating temp again due to the fact that one of the kazeems removed the thermostat before

anyway, it's that cool. Now before i put the thermostat back, i use the AC to warm up the car to operating temp, sort of like what a thermostat would have don, sigh!


Can u imagine that I would now have opened my engine to change my original Toyota gasket, for some 20k gasket

God is really merciful, I tell you.

By now I would have been swimming in a WHOLE NEW SET OF PROBLEMS
