Does anyone know if I have to book an appointment to legalise my documents?
I've been trying to call and email them but they're not working.
Thanks. |

Lexusgs430: I obviously know Spain is in the European Union(and I have been to a few European countries, so I am not ignorant). If he applies for a Spanish visa(and it's granted), it does not automatically entitle him residency in the United Kingdom). Hence all my explanations from above. NB: It still baffles me why you would want to channel his entry from Spain!!!! His deportation from the UK, is not a life sentence. I know you're not an ignorant and I know it doesn't automatically entitles him residency in the UK. I just think sending him to Spain first will be easier than take him back to the UK. I also want to take him out of Nigeria as soon as possible. |

Lexusgs430: Since you are legally married, why not apply for a spouse settlement visa? Assuming you choose to apply for the spousal settlement visa, and you are resident in the uk. You would have to submit all your supporting documentation to Sheffield. Who would send him documentations, to apply for a Spanish visa? Do not forget, assuming he applies for a Spanish visa, how does he get to the uk? And even when his Spanish visa expires, would he return to Nigeria or live illegally again? Reason why it might be best to register @ the Spanish embassy. He was deported and you do not want to give the ukba a loaded gun to take aim(assuming registering is advised by your embassy).
NB: My ADVISE - Apply for a spousal settlement visa and not further complicate issues!!!! If the Visa finish he won't live illegally, we'll do the legal procedures to keep going. And don't forget Spain belong to the European Union anf that's a way to get in to the UK. Like I said a few times, I have no clue about visas and that's why I asked for advice. Thanks for your help |

Lexusgs430: From you enquiry, it seems your husband got deported. You now reside and work in the uk, and are protected under the European Convention. So you will have to submit all your supporting documents to Sheffield, while your husband does his bits @ the lagos office. Why have you not registered with your embassy has domicile in the uk? You want him to apply for a Spanish visa? Are you aware they share intelligence? Don't over complicate matters for yourself. If he gets refused a Spanish visa, and he later applies for a uk settlement visa, it would appear he wanted to deceive or apply under false pretence (not unless their is something sinister you haven't told us). Yes, he got deported but not banned. Sorry to ask but what is Sheffield? I though it will be easier for him to get the Spanish visa if I'm still registered in Spain plus I never though register in the Spanish Embassy will be important. I don't know about visas, that's why I'm asking for advise. Also I read about the European card but I don't know if he needs the visa firts. And no, there's nothing sinister lol Just a failed application and stupid incompetent lawyers. |

Hello there, I need advice on visa procedures. I am a Spanish citizen (born and raised) living and working in London, UK. I met my husband here but due to Visa issues Home Office sent him back home. At that time we were not married but we were living together for a long time and he had an EEA application which was refused as my lawyers were incompetent We got married in Nigeria and he's going to apply for a Spanish visa but we are very lost about which documents he will need to provide. I'm not registered in the Spanish Embassy in London so is still showing that I'm a Spanish resident. Thanks for any piece of advice and help |

I came back from Nigeria a few days ago and I have to say the staff from the security check at the airport is rude as hell. If you are nice to them they will take advantage of it so you have to show them some attitude. |
