Business / Re: Avoid LENDHA Loan Company!!! by sextail(m): 4:32pm On Jun 24, 2021
Did you default on your loan?

bizlinks:
I am writing to report a criminal case in disguise as a financial company called LENDHA.
Lendha claims to be a financial company that gives out loans but in disguise teams up with a payment company called REMITA to siphon people's accounts to the last kobo.

October 2020, Lendha approached us to obtain a business loan from them at 7% monthly interest. The interest is too high for a business loan but after deliberations and promises that the interest will be reduced sooner, we agreed to work with them. We processed a 1.5million naira loan and 2 automatic remittance was activated to our 2 Business accounts (Zenith and Access Bank). On the 30th Nov 2020, we received credit of N1,485,000.

On the 30th December, we paid our first installment by transfer but during our second installment, we noticed that they will request for transfer payment and still debit our account through Remita. This continues and we will always write them for a refund but instead they will hold the fund till our next payment which is a breach of agreement, so we demanded 1% charge daily on every early debit or our funds in their custody as they also placed a 1% default charge on late repayment.

We do not have control over the remita, so we decided to stop transfer payment and allow their Remita to debit our account but they called to inform us that the Remita has been stopped, that we can transfer not knowing that it was a fraud statement. We funded our account and made the transfer for the 4th month repayment. 10mins after the transfer, we started receiving debits to a tone of over 600,000 naira done by the same Remita they claimed to have stopped. We started calling them and writing mails to get our refund but no response. We wrote mail instructing them to end and liquidate the loan in the 5th month by collecting all their outstanding and refunding us our balance but they never reply to our mails or take our calls.

This loan tenor is 6 months, to end 30th May 2021 but we requidated the loan on April 30th 2021 but as we speak now, their Remita is still siphoning every dime in our business accounts thereby making it unsafe for us to use in receiving payments from our customers. So far they have debited us a total sum of N2,522,687.5 against their N2,025,000 total repayment
Career / Negotiating For Salary Increment by sextail(m): 9:55am On Oct 28, 2017
Renegotiating your salary after acceptance of the offer is not to maim your relationship with your superior. This is a professional discussion needed to avoid whining, grunting, unhappiness or less productivity.

On the side of the employee, it is very disheartening to find out that you are paid less for working more despite your years of experience and qualification and how demotivating it is when there is a new employee with less experience than you but paid close to double of your present salary.

You need to stop this myth that "outstanding job performance alone would get you the large pay raise"; only if you have contended with the annual 3-5 percent raise, then you do not need to ask.

The following are the steps to take in negotiating for salary increment:

1) Learn to Negotiate: What is a farmer without the farming tools! You have the element of time to broaden and sharpen up the skills, practice makes perfect. Note: Negotiation can also decide your chances of having a successful career later in the company.

2) Personally, evaluate your Job: Determining the relative value or worth of your job role in comparison to other roles and your ACCOMPLISHMENT on the job is the key, your organization has a grading structure in place which can help you with this. N.B: Please, do not have this belief that because someone is sitting in an AC filled room doesn't mean his job role is of lesser value.

3) Create or Visualise a future (plan): This is where you think about what you need for the higher position, check yourself, draw the map to a place where your role in the organization won't be obsolete.

4) Schedule a meeting: Send an invite to the HR Manager (and your Supervisor) for a meeting, it is not necessary to dicuss the meeting agenda. The best time to negotiate a salary is always before you accept an offer and when renegotiating, the timing should be right. Don't ask for increment when your boss is on fire, the organization is not doing well or a month/two of an automatic increment.

5) DO NOT THREATEN: The purpose of the meeting is for them to see reason with you, it is a professional discussion, strategically lay out your point and listen to the other parties involved. Don't give the "i am so great, you should increase my salary" attitude and i repeat "DO NOT THREATEN".

6) Be prepare for a NO: You can't have it all, so they turned down your request? Kindly take responsibility of how poorly you handled the situation, be cordial, thank them and keep a positive attitude. If your request is granted, good for you, now you must work harder and do not go blabbing.

Asking for a salary increment is never an easy task. However, you will increase your chances of success if you time your renegotiation right, be prepared and focus on the value you (will) bring to your organization.

I get where the OP is coming from but he should know that the first degree is nothing but a meal ticket. Most of us went to the university to study a course base on our childhood perspective or dream but that changed when we discovered our potentials. If an engineering student can prove to be much more capable in accounting field, after (s)he is certified, why waste resources on another applicant because (s)he has a degree in Accounting!
Most of what you re taught in class doesn't apply to real world.

This is really a nice piece of work, I really enjoy this fron the beginning right to the latest end. A big thumb for you because I know you are going places.

I will like to call your attention to something that I think is not right. Yes! It's my opinion. Talking about people loading for internet connection for you, I first thought it is a voluntary donation, as it shows on the blog but being adamant about it, is what I think it's not right. Have not seen blogs from lindaikeji even umari ayim (www.umariayim.com) do that, and she is a prolific writer like you also.

Pls do find in your marvelous time to think about my own opinion also and above all I trust you judgement.

Thanks once again and nice job.
