BusinessRe: CAC Registers 69,000 Companies In 2 Months by seyitone(m): 12:13pm On Dec 26, 2018
Those are existing businesses that have refused to register prior to the incentive and people who are just registering names without any active business... Doesn't mean investors are investor... CBN and BISS stats showing we are actually losing businesses and those who are not withdrawing their capital are not trading either... Naira is still falling... 374 on the black market today, 364 to a dollar across bank canters. We will get better... We are just not doing well right now

Who is deceiving who?

EducationRe: Nigerians On Jonathan Govt Scholarship Abandoned Abroad, Resort To Menial Jobs by seyitone(m): 5:38am On Nov 09, 2018

shocked

This is so sad.
So Goodluck Jonathan did not consider these ones before he timidly threw in the throwel.

And some misfits dare refer to him as a hero of democracy.
Shame on you GEJ.

Other dimwits will now blame Buhari for this people's misfortune.
It is right of Buhari for not interceding. PRESSID was a GEJ initiative.

These stranded scholarship recipients should channel their complaints to GEJ who is morally obligated to ensure their total welfare.
This is not about PDP or APC, it is about being responsible.
Interesting that the comment above easily forgot one of the easyfix mantra whenever GEJ supporters shout PMB is only finishing what GEJ started. Scholarship like PRESSID are really one of the essence of govt in continuum. Nothing in the post says the beneficiaries fees were not paid until change in govt.
The problem really lies in the lack of any serious interest that the present govt has in tertiary institutions. How can you abandon your citizen who were on scholarship abroad? The commentary said that GEJ should be responsible. I partially agree... Since it was his initiative, in saner climes, ex-presidents have incredible lobby and leverage power but not in Nigeria.
The present govt should do the needful. If it cannot continue paying their fees, let them be brought home peacefully.
So please, it is 100% the responsibility of the present administration to pay that fee... The scholarship was by The Federal government of Nigeria not Federal govt of Jonathan.

Then when the list of Democratic nations is been read out, let Nigeria be exempted. There's nothing wrong with having our own system of government. We mustn't use democracy. But if we claim to be practising democracy, let's do it based on the rule of law. Or better still, let's make it official that we now have an autocratic .

What goes around comes around. Buhari is doing these today with good intentions, if he doesn't stop, watch how another leader would come later nd do them with all the bad intentions, things like this always backfire
i had a similar argument with a colleague yesterday. We cannot afford this "throw out the baby with the bath water" approach. Maddoff stole 50 billion dollars and he his day in court. After fair hearing base on the rule if law, he was duly sentenced and now in prison. If we allow this mockery of the rule of law, we not only be sstting loose a dog that might come back and bite us, we will also be encouraging a dictatorship. Jail Dasuki. but follow the law. I believe in our judicial system. The likes of Bode George can testify to that... It will be a very bad precedence to begin to allow the president play plaintiff, Jury and Judge.
Let the war corruption continue but lets not suspend the nigeria constitution as if we are in a different kind of war.
God bless Buhari
God bless Nigeria

As they say, you can deceive some of the people some of the time, you can't deceive all of the people all the time... I fervently pray what he said won't turn around and bite us in the arse. Lying and packaging the public should have boundaries.
