Please guyz in the house can I upgrade my htc inspire 4G firmware and which version help needed urgently

Please can I upgrade my HTC inspire 4G firmware to 4.0.4 and can I do It myself or any of you guys can help and is it a cool phone?

. Just 2 phones and what do you mean by monetary worth? How will he declare it a gift ? Please explain better thanks and have you used them before?
