I had decent funds in my personal account.

Jessica50:
they are only concerned on the money in your account probably it's not enough.

My note is out and the only reason I see here is POF document. Honestly, I don't understand because I submitted my payslip, MBS for Salary and Savings account, cover letter from mutual funds indicating the balance.
I later sent LOE for lumpsum via Web form and email in first week of January.
See attached note.
Please do I go ahead with buying GIC or do I fund my Canadian bank account with funds and submit just that as fund available for my studies.

I applied to Fanshawe last year using an agent. Though they offered to help with my visa application but it was optional.
Anon123:

Awesome...

Did you apply to Fanshawe using an agent?

If yes, did the agent claim he/she is to handle your visa application as well?

Your reply will help someone here thats about to be scammed.

I got refused based on personal assets even when the money is there. So I want to address that by paying full tuition and doing CAD10k GIC as advised here by people.

Hello Shallyk

Before you go ahead with your GIC intention, know that GIC is never a catalyst for approval..

Most of the approvals we have seen here this year alone, I cant remember seeing anyone who did GIC..

Peace

Please how did you go about funding GIC?
Nelson2k:
Good evening gurus in the house, I keep asking questions here but no one wants to help out

I hope someone helps me out this time. Thanks in advance.

My question is.
1. Do I have to explain how I funded my GIC account and paid my tuition in my LOE? Or is not necessary

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by ShallyK: 11:26pm On Feb 02, 2022
Thanks, I'm just seeing this.
No, eligibility was not done.
I have order my note and I pray it comes quickly cos school resumes May 04.

Hello ShallyK,
Its well...Its just a temporary delay. Request for your notes to see the VO's concerns before reapplying
You mentioned your profile not being updated...Did eligibility review commence before your refusal mail?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by ShallyK: 2:36pm On Feb 02, 2022
Thanks for sharing.
I will await my GCMS note to know the exact reason so as to know how best to tackle it. I will proceed now with balance tuition payment.

@Ketima Pls has this person reapplied and gotten approval? If yes, can you share how she addressed the personal asset concern the VO raised.
Cos the honest truth is not everyone is into land investment and I don't think having should be synonymous to being established in one's country.
Ketima:

Hello Predator,
Goodmorning.

I wasn't arguing with Omiinii. I was only advising SallyK (in my own opinion) based on what he/she stated. He or she has the required fund. earns 560k/month which amount to almost 7miliion per annum(just for salary). If you noticed I asked if the company he/she works with is well known and not like all the O.O & Sons Ltd and if he/she has assets to his or her name. i used land just to make it simple. I'm not a VO, but I believe those guys are trained to be critical thinkers. Even in my lay mans mind, having such job in nigeria and not be established in terms of acquiring assets could look somehow. So, in that sense, that's why I said it isn't about having huge funds in account, but being socio-economically tied to your country.(ties that would likely draw you back to your home country).

I would have quoted someone here who had almost the same profile with sally and was resufed too. She had 23.+million POF and Job with good pay. One of Vo's comment was, applicant single and not established. she had no assets to her name. She only has Job and money to her name.

That it worked for A doesn't mean it will work for B. So is good to always try and close all potential loopholes. I rest it here

Thank you so much Predator

Just to ask, what of the Federal government Sukuk BOND investment and Mutual fund statement? Are those enough assets? Also my pensions fund statement?
Will these three suffice as personal assets? These in addition to funds that will remain in my savings accounts after I must have paid my tuition balance.
I don't have land/house, pls advise.

Thanks alot.
I have ordered for my GCMS note and while waiting, I will leave the money in the mutual funds and pay the tuition balance.
I still have some money left in my savings account to cover the tuition balance with some funds left.
The company I work with is a global one and well known.
The mutual funds, Sukuk bond will serve as assets as I don't have land/house.
The statement for the mutual funds will show the funds history as it was a gradual investment that accumulated from 2019. I will also explain this in the LOE.
The fund movement was done in October cos I thought Mutual fund statement will not be accepted so I wanted to show fund availability by terminating the investment into my savings account.
Just to add, I am married without kids but my husband is not coming with me.
I pray the GCMS note comes quick cos school resumes May 4th.

Ketima:

Hello SallyK,

So sorry for your refusal. is just a temporary delay. Now as we all know, you need to get your note to know what actually is the VO concern(s) as the reason in the refusal letter is generic.

Now one thing about having huge funds in the account and paying just a deposit is that it will make the VO question the genuineness of the applicants to study or is the fund just for demonstration purposes? Showing you earn 560k monthly, do you have other assets other than the 12million in the account to show that you're well established in your home country? Again, hope your company is a known establishment that will make the VO easily believe such monthly income and not from one SallyK and sons limited? So, you need to tighten all loose ends.

A Vo will believe that an applicant with 2million in account and paid one-year tuition and has assets in form of lands, shares, other properties is more established and will likely return back home than you who have all the millions but not established. which can easily tell him/her you don't plan to be established in your home country.

So my opinion is

1). Pay the entire one-year tuition to show that the money is yours and is meant for studies ( as the money is just floating back and forth between your account and mutual funds).
2). Show some assets in your name, not just huge money ( in this immigration process, cash in account isn't really an ASSET per se but Assets is cash in the making). This will go a long way to show you're well established and have what will likely bring you back home.

Again, as the funds keep moving between mutual funds and your account, I would like you to trace it back to the origin of the money movement from your account to a mutual fund and diligently explain it in your LOE to prove that the money is truly yours and also explain why you like keeping it in mutual funds. Why I said this is, people can borrow funds from people who do not like their money to be idle. So as not to keep their money idle, they send it to mutual funds so that it will be growing. Now once the visa application is approved, the fund is reversed and sent back to the owner.

So while you wait for your note, be your VO and begin now to draft your LOE and start also to get documents you may need to tackle the concerns.
But then, if the note comes out and you feel the refusal reason isn't justifiable, you may seek JR if you can afford it.

All the best.

Thanks, I will do that.
Legacyedition:

With this your way of moving funds.

What is in your gcms note is lumpsum deposit.

At this moment, to stand a better chance early.

Pay your one year tuition fee.

Do GIC if you can .

Visa officer won't have any concern about your funds again after you've done this.

Please I need help guys.
I got admission to Fanshawe College for one year PGC in Business Analytics, May 2022 and I have paid the tuition deposit.
I applied for study visa 29th Nov 2021 but got a rejection mail today based on financial status and personal assets.
I don't understand why the rejection because I submitted a personal statement, sukuku bond certificate and I attached my payslip.
I terminated my Mutual funds in Oct 2021 to make up the total funds in my personal account but I didn't state this in my SOP because I felt it will be visible in the account statement where the lump sum came from. However, in December, I decided to send LOE for the N5m lump sum and also attached the statement of my Mutual funds account. This I sent via Web form and emails, not sure they got this because my profile was not updated nor did I receive any email on it.
Upfront medical submitted last Friday.
I'm confused on how to proceed. I want to order for my GCMS note, how long will this take if my Sis in Canada helps?
Should I go ahead and make the balance payment of my tuition?
Can I reapply without GCMS note using the new portal?
I moved funds from my account back to mutual funds to earn some interest while waiting for the visa outcome... Now I have to terminate again so I can reapply.
NB: I still have a valid Canadian vist visa.
@Anon123 @justmellow @frankrobbn1 and all gurus, Kindly assist.
