Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, will formally kick-off the campaigns of the All Progressives Party (APC) for the forthcoming local government elections on Monday.

In a press statement issued by Acting Publicity Secretary of APC in Ogun State, Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye, the Governor will commence on Monday with visits to Imeko Afon and Yewa North Local Government Areas.

The Governor will use the period of the tour to commission projects completed by State and Local Government Councils, inspect ongoing projects and and at the end of the tour of each local government area, hold a town hall meeting to receive feedback from the good people of Ogun State.

The statement advised all members of the party and the general public that will attend the events to strictly comply with the COVID-19 protocols.

Yesterday was another exciting day for the people of Odeda both home and abroad as different youth groups, leaders, and representatives across the 10 wards of Odeda local government assembled at Hon. Folasade Adeyemo Soyinka's residence at Obantoko area of Odeda local government.

The mood at the meeting throughout its duration was ecstatic, as the youths were very excited due to the emergence of Hon. Folasade and her running mate as the party ticket bearer for the forthcoming elections in Odeda local government. They also rejoiced with the 10 councillorship candidates present at the meeting.

Each ward produces a representative who spoke on behalf of the youths in their ward. And this process was repeated till we have the 10 wards expressed their minds and expectations from the new government after they might have won the election God's willing on the 24th of July 2021.

The youth leaders demand equity, fairness, and justice in the administration of the dividends of democracy in Odeda local government. They also appealed that youths should be given fair representation when it is time for allocation of local government appointments.

Without much ado Hon. Folasade Adeyemo Soyinka came up and relieved the youths of all their fears and worry associated with governance, equity, fairness, and justice.
She started by appreciating the youths for coming around to familiarize themselves with their potential new local government leaders .

Hon. Folasade Adeyemo pledged to run all-inclusive governance in Odeda local government as she would not entertain divisions and factions throughout her time in office.

She promised to work with everyone irrespective of affiliations and background, provided the basic requirements for such opportunities are met by whoever desires to fill such a vacuum.
She also reiterated that she would be fair to all and sundry.

Hon. Majekodunmi Olanrewaju , Hon. Wale Adeboye also came around to cheer the youths and also challenged them to go all out and win the forth coming elections for the party's candidates.

The incoming Vice-Chairman Hon. Nasiru Yaya Adigun also commended the youth for their support and determination to see a new Odeda emerge in their time.

In her closing remarks Hon. Folasade Adeyemo gives credit to all the leaders across different tiers of Odeda local government and most especially the youths for coming around in solidarity with the new movements in Odeda local government.

She said it in yoruba language "Sé e mò wípé Odédá gbayì sá? (Do you know that Odeda is always a force to reckon with?)

Today we shall redefine that slogan " Odeda Gbayi" and she highlighted the meaning as follows:

G-Good all inclusive governance,
B-Better and improved qualitative education,
A- Accessible and affordable Health care,
Y- Youth Engagement and women empowerment, and
I- Infrastructural development and security

She promised to look into the areas of job creation, employment opportunities for the youth, and she re-established her vows not to sideline anyone in the entirety of Odeda local government.
