WE DEMAND THE RELEASE OF SHEIKH ZAKZAKY FOR PROPER MEDICATION

This week, close relations of Sheikh Ibraheem Yaqoub Zakzaky visited him where the Department of State Services (DSS) claimed he was being held in "protective custody" since the 14th day of December 2016.

From the report of the close relations, the health of our leader has deteriorated further. His left eye is in dire need of specialized medical attention. The Doctor assigned to the Sheikh has reportedly given up on getting it back to its normal state. His left arm where he sustained gunshot wounds is still demobilized and the wounds are yet to heal.

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) is deeply concerned about the health of our incarcerated leader and believe that it is in the interest of the Nigerian State and those holding him to release him unconditionally to enable him attend to his heath.

The Nigerian people are aware and the international community is aware that our leader has not been accused of committing any offence and has not been charged for one and has not been arraigned before any competent court of the land for the past eight months.

We firmly believe it was Allah that has spared the life of our revered leader out of his mercy, even though those who wish him dead were averse to it.

However it is the height of injustice to deny the Sheikh the best medical attention taking into consideration all that has been done to him, his family and millions of his followers. Of what benefit will it be to our nation if his health deteriorates beyond salvation?

If at all the claim of the Counsel to the DSS in a Federal High Court in Abuja that the Sheikh is in "protective custody" is to be believed, then attention to his health should be of paramount importance to whoever is holding him hostage.

Even though a glimpse of the report of the Judicial Commission of inquiry submitted to Kaduna state government has indicted the Army for its brutality against the Sheikh and his followers in Zaria, the least expected from the government is his release to us for proper medical attention. Refusal to do just this is an indication that the federal government has some ulterior motives and wants to keep him in custody and allow his health to deteriorate further.

We would like to appeal to those that have the ears of this government, well meaning Nigerians and the international community to insist on the unconditional release of our Leader Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and all those detained with him in the aftermath of the Zaria carnage last December.

What govt did his father form? When APC was soliciting for votes before elections, they paid him visit. El-Rufai visited him to pay condolence for the 34 members of the IMN who were killed under Jonathan. El rufai called it "genocide" by "the Jonathanian army". And Jonathan called Zakzaky on phone and apologized. Jonathan obviously didn't order for that killing in July 2014, like Buhari ordered for the Zaria massacre in December 2015. But when the same Nigerian army under Tyrant Buhari committed a genocide in the same Zaria, elrufai and Buhari justified it, assuming they really did not give order for the Zaria massacre.

His father's followers on the road, who were shot at anyways and killed to clear way for Chief of Terror Staff Tukur Buratai, beat the chest of generals. Fine. Is that justification for killing hundreds of more people away from the road incident? Is that why Zakzaky was shot and his wife, a mother of seven shot and their three children killed in front of their eyes? Are you a human being or a b a s t a r d?

You really not after telling truth. You are deliberately sent to lie on this forum. May God judge you. What arms are you talking about? They demolished all properties belonging to the IMN, where are the arms? Even the kangaroo commission set up by the kaduna state govt did not find evidence of these arms you are lying about. If the IMN members are armed, the coward tyrant Buhari govt will dialogue with them. They are oppressed not because your army is brave or Buhari is anything more than a coward tyrant. It is because those people are unarmed. They are being oppressed for choosing peace. Imagine if Zakzaky was Sunni. Imagine how many churches would have senselessly been burnt and Christians killed in the north. But no, Zakzaky is Shia and killing indiscriminately innocent people isn't part of his belief. When the Niger delta militants threatened Buhari, he cancelled his visit to port harcourt. With this injustice and oppression, it is the govt that is pushing innocent and peaceful people to carry arms and fight for their rights. And if the Shiites choose to do that after all peaceful resorts are exhausted, Buhari will regret his actions. Shiites will not go about targeting Christians or Sunnis or civilians at large. It will be a brace fight against injustice and perpetrators of injustice, as Shiites are known for standing up bravely to fight for their cause the world over. You do not trample upon the rights of defenseless people like this. Zakzaky is capable of forming a million man army if he wanted to choose a violent path. These are people who have renounced violence and bloodshed, but the govt keeps shedding their blood unjustly. What statement does this translate to? It means the govt is pushing them to fight and create tension and instability in the land. Buhari is asking for trouble. When he's served trouble, he will then beg to dialogue. He wants to destroy this country and further create divisions. The people are bitter about this massacre.

Are the Shiites not victims of Buhari's boko haram? So when one group is causing problems, are you justified to merciless brutalize and murder in cold blood another group that hasn't taken up arms but is a peaceful social and religious group?

Are you sure your mother was inseminated with the semen of a man or that of a beast? You are justifying the cold blooded murder en masse of hundreds of people who were killed at four different locations and dumped in mass graves as revenge for a road block protest by their coreligionists. Is this a country or a lawless jungle?

Where is Seun and Lalasticlala? This thread deserves to be on the front page. If it was one senseless topic about a faceless group sponsored by the govt or Buratai's army to stage paid protests in campaign of calumny against the IMN and to spread propaganda, the thread will quickly make front page.

But I feel that considering my current circumstances its best I share it, especially considering that in life I have lost almost all the things that constitute my reason for being. I have eventually lost, and it is very clear that I can lose anything else, all by the virtue of ending up as a Nigerian.

I am Mohammed Ibraheem, known to my friends as Ibraheem affixed with my numerous nicknames. I was possibly 6 years old, we lived in a three bedroom, two sitting room, one kitchen, one garage, back garden and front yard house. That house was plagued by brown rats; two of which got trapped in a water tank in the kitchen, so that they could not swim out of the water, and leap to safety.

Everyone was so enraged by them, and rightly so, for these foreign Rats can be so fearfully annoying, plus they once chewed the soles off my mother’s feet. The two rats must have lasted long, for by the time they were discovered, they really were too exhausted to run, I don’t remember what went on before the fact, all I know is that they were ushered out of the water and successfully marched on what must have been rat miles all the way to the back garden. I was then given a stick by the nanny and told to kill one of them. In an unforgettable act, after a little hesitation I hit the rat, after being mocked and taunted for being too soft. I still remember the look in the eyes of that rat looking up at me after I hit him, it haunts me to this day.

The gleeful murder of a mischievous rat is a truly un-forgettable experience for me, much as I can imagine it I cannot see myself killing anything larger than a mosquito or house fly without guilt, yet it was men armed to the teeth who have slaughtered all of my brothers, and multiples of men, women and children along with them, as if they were nothing. Doctors, Nurses, Engineers, Technicians, Journalists, men and women of all professions, there were even boys and girls among them, like (karofi) a one week old University of Greenwich graduate, students whose only aspiration was to make beautiful dreams come true; Friends, Families, the old and the young, all brutally slaughtered by an army that was suppose to protect them!

A few days ago it was announced that the commission established by the Kaduna State Government, submitted a report on its findings, on the massacre and destruction visited upon innocent people by elements representing the Nigerian Army, in which over a thousand people are missing, over three hundred and forty people were admittedly buried in a mass grave, hundreds were arrested and hundreds of millions worth in property destroyed. Having followed the commission’s sessions with interest I watched as it slowly degenerated from a commission of enquiry into a case of murder and destruction, being convoluted into a commission whose focus seemed to only be a sectarian one. Although the movement sent no representatives, I am yet to read its findings as it is yet to be publicized.

Prior to that in an unusual twist, the custodians/captors/detainers of my parents, the DSS claimed that my father, is being kept in "protective custody" "because he is a vulnerable individual" and according to their lawyer it is the DSS’s duty to provide protection to vulnerable citizens! Adding salt to injury, they further even claimed to have spent five million Naira on his health alone. It is unbearably hard enough that I’ve had to watch helplessly as they killed all those innocent people including my three remaining brothers. But this claim was the worst affront to my sense of self, more painfully insulting than all before it. Ever since the statement was made I have made several attempts to type a response each time I begin to type my fingers shake from excess of wrath, anger, despair and the all too fresh realization of the truly unbelievable depths of insincerity, hypocrisy and cruelty. I always think and question the humanity of the cabal that masterminded the ZariaMassacre. How can it be rationally explained that we share the same taxonomy as this brutal breed of beasts wearing the uniform of the Nigerian army who executed this inhuman massacre?

This is a most grievous insult, the gravity of which is unfathomable to say the least. Although my parents are not being held in a prison cell, they are certainly not living in a comfortable state, nor are they ‘Safe.’ In the eight months since the ‘Nigerian Army’ killed and secretly buried over a thousand people including my three brothers, my aunt and a lot of the people I hold most dear, while also shooting my mother 7 times and depriving my father of an eye as well as crippling his arm and leg, the DSS which claims to be "protecting him" has also denied him access to his doctors, legal counsel, and has only allowed us to visit only when it suited them. In the past eight months I’ve driven to Abuja, several times only to be turned back. Yet these people have the rudeness to post my picture in the media to give credence to the idea that all is well, insulting us in the most cowardly of ways. I am thirty years old, I earned my first five million Naira when I was still a university student, yet my own father the one who brought me into this world, after being so injured, physically, emotionally and worst of all deprived of even the most basic of human rights is being charitably expended upon with five million Naira (gratitude for the generosity of the masters of murderous beasts).

As his sight continues to fail day by day the DSS continues to refuse, under the guise of bureaucratic excuses, our request that a known qualified doctor be allowed to attend to him. And then there is the visitation rights, in eight months I have only been allowed to visit four times, but we have been stood up in Abuja for twice as many times. Then there is the fact that even though my father is currently incarcerated, it is he who pays for his expenses down to the fuel for the generator in the place where he is being held, not to mention the extortionist behavior of some of the agents in charge of handling my parents. In our fourth and final visit which was yesterday, they brought in a professional camera man sporting a nice SLR (Single-lens reflex Camera or; Fancy Cameras in Short) to rudely take more of these propagandist pictures designed to deceive the people about the true nature of what is going on, I’m sure you’ll be seeing them in the papers soon enough.

Then there is his health, specifically the health of his last remaining eye, which is already half blind. The attending single doctor whose name and qualification I do not know, nor has the DSS informed me, has already arbitrarily and single handedly proscribed one of his eyes as lost for good, without recourse to a second opinion. Granted in father’s own words, he does "appreciate" the doctor’s efforts, and the courtesy of certain members of the DSS, I for one am not grateful, I cannot be. I deserve answers we all do. If the DSS that is a Government organization of fundamental importance, is proudly insulting me by claiming to be spending five million Naira for my father, Ibraheem Zakzaky has a son who is alive and willing to spend multiples of that amount (and I can afford it), for his Father. But I cannot, because the opportunity to do such things for my father is blocked by the ‘Dutifully Protective Custodians.’ DPC. (Death Prospecting Cooperation).

If they really are just protecting my father as their lawyer has claimed, then I would want to ask them the following unanswered questions; firstly: What form of a threat is the visit of Family Members? What form of a threat is the visit of doctors? What threat does my father’s access to his lawyers constitute? Considering the impending and dangerous situation threatening to turn him blind, why are no doctors allowed? Why do they assault us with SLRs when all we want is to be able to attend to our flesh and blood? And why should I continue to play the silently grateful son of the guest who is actually more like a hostage? As my fingers shiver lest harm come to my parents for speaking the truth I would finally ask you what I have been asking myself, Can I entrust the truth to my tongue?

When I was a child I grew up on the tales of heroes and great men, and I truly did aspire to be more like some of my favorite heroes and great men, I even used to think who wouldn’t. One thing that they all had in common though; was that they all had something of worth whether it was an idea, a person or a thing, these great men and women were willing to risk all for that one thing. In the titanic and everlasting struggle that is good versus evil, justice versus in injustice, the fair versus the unfair.

I have found myself powerless to save my brothers all of whom are now with God. I have found it beyond my means, to protect my own mother. I have no power to protect what I care for, I live in a country where those whose job was to protect have become mindless predators. I have no protection against these serpents. I only have myself, my hands and my feet, there is nothing I can do. I have so few tools at my disposal, in spite my most optimistic efforts, I have come to the conclusion that the evil that has taken my brothers, my family, and has kidnapped my mother and my father, and placed them in a hostage situation, and is killing them slowly, seems to understand no language, that I know or understand. As my father is systematically and slowly being reduced to total blindness, I am becoming desperate.

It is true that I am weak and powerless in the face of such unfathomable levels of evil madness, reckless hatred, extreme prejudice and limitless inhumanity. The only thing I can do now is to complain, to protest, and protest by any means available. As I gradually lose all my senses due to worry, I find myself increasingly losing all hope of recourse to reason and feel ever increasingly compelled towards necessity. If violence and irrationalism is a strength, I don’t have it, I still regret killing that rat. I am incapable of breaking my own innocence. I cannot kill without remorse. I was born of a father who could never ever condone the path of wrath, even at the cost of his sight.

I want to call all those who believe in the inalienable right of all human beings to fairness, justice and dignity, to help by joining me in a redoubled effort. We must protest this seemingly never ending series of outrages, we must make our voices heard. We must act before it is too late, we must demonstrate wherever we are able. I for one will walk alone on my two feet from my father’s house in Zaria to Abuja if I have to, I will sit in front of any office for as long as it takes, I will stop eating and drinking for as long as it takes.

As God is my witness there is no time. My father needs access to doctors now! Right Now. As God is my witness I swear that having survived the unthinkable, my father is currently being wearied down into a blind man, he is being slowly crippled, destroyed. Compliments of the DSS and co. enough is enough. Post the dammed pictures make all the lies but do not insult us, let us send doctors, let us save my father’s eye.

Sheikh Burutai al Salafi is nervous. In fact, Gen. Burutai as Salafi is very very nervous. I had it from an impeachable source in the DSS that, Sheikh Buhari as Salafi has warned Kaduna state governor El Rufa'i that he does not have anything to do with Zaria Massacre. And, woe betide anyone who tries to implicate the president. 'it is your own headache now' he told the salafi governor, 'the pressure of the ICC is mounting, and so is the nagging of the Human right bodies worldwide' the Salafi president was reported to have told the Demolisher of properties and Salafi governor, Ustaz El Rufa'i.

According to my source, Buhari is jittery and more than frightened that he might be indicted by the ICC he is willing to find a scapegoat, a fall guy no matter who he is. This warning promptly sent a shiver up the spine of the governor whose favorite pastime is making old men homeless and vagrants, to the extent that he called a meeting in a hurry. In that meeting, accusations and counter accusations were traded between the Governor, the DSS, the Police and the Salafi Army of Sheikh Tukur Burutai as Salafiy an Najdiy, the Butcher of Zaria.

A decision was reached to make a scapegoat of a Christian major General Oyebade as the man who gave the order to the soldiers to commit this perfidy of gargantuan proportion. Realising that, both the Army and the governor have connived to sacrifice him, Gen. Ayodile Oyebade wrote a letter to the presidency, and copies were sent to Kaduna state governor, the Emir of Zazzau and Sheikh Burutai al Salafi, the 'protector of the honors of the Sahabas'. In it, the now thoroughly frightened General threatened to divulge the masterminds of the Massacre, how it was planned, the names of all who had a hand in it, who was paid what, who gave him his order and forced him to issue it (he claimed he refused to give the order at first, but he was forced) and several other secret details should he be sacrificed to the ICC. This threat was not taken lightly was the Nigerian Salafi government, its Salafi Army and the Salafi Governor of Kaduna state. It is said that they are now frightened out of their wits, and no one of them trusts the other. Everyone only wish to absolve himself without thinking of the other. This is in this ephemeral world, before the hereafter! O Allah, we beseech thee to avenge us and accept our Martyrs, and bless their sons and daughters, and parents, free our leader and his wife, and others of our brothers unjustly incarcerated. The army killed and injured over a thousand innocent Shia at four separatr locations in Zaria for three consecutive days following the use of live bullets to clear way for the Chief of Terror Staff who was blocked by rightfully indignant oppressed Shia Nigerian youths.

These paid clowns are protesting over what is nonexistent to cover up and psyche the uninformed members of the Nigerian public to support state terrorism carried out by the army against innocent and unarmed Nigerians. Even Buratai is a propagandist like Tyrant Buhari. The Nigerian army is becoming like hitler's propaganda machine. What a shame! They kill people and then pay idle animals to protest against killings. May Almighty God the King of kings damn Buratai and Buhari.

My comment on the Judicial Commission of Inquiry Indictment of the Nigerian Army as a Shiite Muslim who wants to see justice done on the Zaria massacre:

Clearly, the Zaria massacre was justified by both elrufai and Tyrant Buhari. Their utterances justifying massacre were made public and on tv. They ordered and justified the massacre of innocent Nigerians at four different locations in Zaria for three consecutive days.

This so called judicial inquiry and it's indictment of a Nigerian general and high ranking officers whose names we do not know are meant to be ransom for Buhari, el rufai and Buratai's escape from justice.

This is the fear of ICC. They are scared of going to The Hague. So they want to sacrifice the image of some Nigerian army officers, who would later be rescued through the back door or with light punishment, if at all.

The result is also to redeem the image of the tyrannical Buhari regime. The massacre draw international condemnation, protests and attention.

The judicial inquiry failed to tell us why the army attacked the Shiite members of the IMN for three consecutive days at four locations.

The report only mentions that the IMN headquarters, or the Husseiniyah was attacked.

The report did not mention why was sheikh Zakzaky's house attacked and burnt. Was anyone blocking Buratai's way inside a cleric's house? What did soldiers go after in a private property?

Why were private properties and a religious center burnt and demolished? Will the Nigerian govt rebuild those properties? Will families of the victims be compensated? Will the mass graves be exhumed and the dead given proper burial?

The report mention nothing about Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife who have been held in illegal detention without trial by the Tyrant Buhari govt for seven months. Is this a democracy? Or a military regime led by a supposedly civilian who is confused and sick of old age?

This report attempts to abort justice. There was no soldier killed. The dead soldier is an aftermath invention by el rufai and it is proven that the soldier did not die in the Zaria massacre. But died of natural causes weeks later in kaduna.

It is beyond doubt that Buhari and Buratai gave order for this massacre. They were aware. And oyebade will confess to this at The Hague.

I will only believe that Buratai and Buhari are unaware of what that sacrificial Yoruba general did if that Yoruba man faces the firing squad alongside those who acted on their own , out of chain of command,to commit massacre. Only the DEATH SENTENCE for them will convince me that tyrant Buhari who justified the massacre and is presently keeping the cleric in illegal detention was unaware and same with Buratai. When these war criminals the tyrant Buhari kangaroo commission of inquiry venture to put to death, then I'm sure Buhari if not guilty, is repentant. And killing those war criminals will set an example to the ashewo produced beasts of the Nigerian army not to violate the human rights of Nigerians again.

Anything short of this would translate to a silly movie we won't and do not believe.

And the international criminal court in The Hague will all the same proceed and Buhari and Buratai will not escape justice. For so long as Sheikh Zakzaky is illegally detained with his wife, then his detention signifies guilt on the part of Tyrant Buhari. It is a crime to detain an innocent man for seven months and counting along with his wife. It makes no sense that a cleric who was not on the road blocking way was attacked and shot in his house, his wife shot and his three sons murdered and then his house burnt and still such unjust and inhumane govt led by a bloody cow rearing tyrant is still detaining an innocent man and his innocent wife.

There is no escape of justice for Buhari and Buratai. They can shove their judicial commission of inquiry report in their stinking holes. Bloodsuckers!

EXCLUSIVE: Judicial panel indicts Nigerian Army General, others for Zaria massacre of Shiites

The General Officer Commanding the Nigerian Army’s 1st Division, Adeniyi Oyebade, a major general, authorized last December’s military operation that massacred at least 347 members of the Shi’a Muslim group in Zaria, and should be prosecuted, a judicial commission of inquiry into the killings, has said in its final report.
The commission of inquiry, set up by the Kaduna State government, indicted Mr. Oyebade and other senior army officers for the attack, PREMIUM TIMES can authoritatively report.
The panel’s report was submitted to Gov. Nasir el-Rufai on Friday, but its details are yet to be made public.
The killings drew worldwide condemnations, and several investigative reports said hundreds of people were killed by government troops and secretly buried in a mass grave in Zaria, Kaduna State.
The Shi’a Islamic movement said it lost more than a thousand members in the attack that took place between December 12 and 14 at its headquarters in Zaria.
A representative of the Kaduna State government told the commission of inquiry that 347 bodies were handed over by the army for a secret mass burial.
But despite the evidence, the army claimed it killed only seven Shiites who blocked a public road and attempted to assassinate its chief, Tukur Buratai, a lieutenant general.
It said troops only used force after it became clear that Mr. Buratai’s life was in danger.

The leader of the Shi’a group, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, who was arrested by soldiers during the operation, has remained in custody seven months after.
The attacks were never condemned by the army hierarchy or the Muhammadu Buhari administration.
After his initial silence, Mr. Buhari later suggested during a televised interview on December 30 that the victims invited the wrath of the military upon themselves by “hitting the chest of generals”.
The report neither apportioned any blame to the federal government nor the army leadership, headed by Mr. Buratai.
Still, its details provide a glimpse into what was clearly a deadly use of disproportionate military force in quelling a civil unrest. The report confirmed that by any measure, the killings took place at a horrific scale.
Shooting through the blockade
The panel said it was able to confirm the death of 349 people, including a soldier. But it made clear it lacked the cooperation of military officials to establish the actual number of those killed.
The commission of inquiry listed culpable actors for civil or criminal prosecution and suggested ways of preventing similar incidents in future.
A copy of the report, exclusively obtained by PREMIUM TIMES, said the GOC of the Army’s 1st Division, Kaduna, Mr. Oyebade, deployed soldiers to carry out such a large scale operation without recourse to the chain of command.
It recommends that Mr. Oyebade and other yet-to-be-disclosed officers who participated in the operation “should be brought to trial before a court of competent jurisdiction”.
The report, which contains 101 pages of correspondences and exhibits, starts with a recap of what transpired on December 12, 2015.
It said the Chief of Army Staff, Mr. Buratai, left Dutse, Jigawa State, at about 11:30 a.m for Zaria, where he was invited to be the reviewing officer at the passing out parade of the 73 Regular Recruits Intake of the Nigerian Army Depot.
Mr. Buratai and his entourage arrived at the Hussainiyya Baqiyyatillah shrine of the Shi’a group along Sokoto Road, Zaria, around 2:20 p.m.
There, the report said, he encountered members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria in their hundreds.
A memo submitted by the Nigerian Army said the individuals were armed with “dangerous weapons”.

In a testimony to the commission, an officer in Mr. Buratai’s security detail, said after all entreaties to the protesters to leave the road failed, they decided to “shoot their way through the blockade” to prevent their principal from being attacked.
The next day, the report said, Mr. Oyebade deployed troops to the shrine to arrest the leaders of the Shi’a group, which resulted in the killings.
The panel said it established that the invasion of the IMN compound was carried out strictly on Mr. Oyebade’s order and without any rules of engagement, an action the commission said was at variance with the provisions of the Armed Forces Act, 1994, and the 1999 Constitution, both of which vested such authorities strictly in the president of the federal republic.
“There was no evidence that there was the requisite delegation by the president to the officer who issued oral order for the deployment of the officers and men of the Nigerian Army for the cordon and search operation,” the report said.
The commission rebuked military officers for refusing to give useful information that could have helped it reach a more detailed conclusion, hinting that the number of those killed could have been far higher than 349.
“All the officers who testified were not forthcoming in providing full disclosure on the number of the dead, wounded and missing persons,” the report said.
Similarly, the medical examiner in charge of the bodies kept at Nigerian Army medical facility in Kaduna also withheld support for the judicial panel.
“It is unfortunate that the medical officer in charge of the Nigerian Army Depot Health Centre who took custody of some of the corpses was not forthcoming in giving evidence that would have enabled the commission to ascertain the actual number of people killed,” the report said. “The officer said he didn’t even ascertain the gender of both the adult and children corpses that were deposited in his medical centre.”
The report said the refusal of the Shi’a group, IMN, to appear and give testimony during its sittings, did not help the process in confirming the actual number of casualties.
“Had IMN submitted a memo and appeared before the commission, it might have been able to shed light on the number of their members who might have lost their lives in the clashes.”

Kaduna government undignified treatment of corpses
The commission was unable to determine the causes of death of the deceased victims owing to the mass burial conducted by the state without any autopsy, the report found.
The panel said the burial of all corpses of male and female Muslims in one grave violated Islamic traditions and other relevant burial laws of Kaduna State and Rule 115 of the Geneva Convention.
The commission found members of the IMN culpable in the death of an army officer, Dan Yakubu, a corporal, and recommended that those found culpable in the killing of the officer should be prosecuted.
Still, in a damning verdict, the panel said the force deployed by the army against the Shi’ites was “disproportionate”.
“The Nigerian Army should intensify efforts in ensuring compliance with the rules of engagement and other legal standards in cordon and search operations at all times.”
The report also recommended that soldiers should never be deployed against civilians and that the police should be better equipped for adequate response to public disturbances.

Elbinawi Ridicules So-called “Arewa Hope Forum” On el-Rufai, Buratai Mass Murder, Secret Burial

My attention was drawn to the above-named news report that appeared in the Nigerian daily of Vanguard Newspaper and it was in reaction to the well-articulated Letter of the Solicitors of IMN that was signed by its leading Counsel Femi Falana (SAN) to the Attorney-General of Kaduna state to commence the prosecution of the Soldiers that massacred at least 347 defenseless and unarmed Nigerians (as stated by officials of the Kaduna state government) in the Zaria massacre.

After the brutal massacre of defenseless civilians that included 100s of women and children, the masterminds and executors of the massacre sponsored faceless groups and individuals to justify the massacre and mislead the Nigerian public as what truly happened. The new group that acted as a front for them in challenging the Letter of Chief Femi Falana (SAN) is “Arewa Hope Foundation”. This faceless group do not have any office location in anywhere in Nigeria and they do not have any online address or website that will present records of their past activities as a “Foundation”. Gen Buratai and his gang of mass-murderers only created ” Arewa Hope Foundation” to write a rejoinder to Falana’s Letter. I am absolutely confident and I assure Nigerians that after this rejoinder, Nigerians will never hear the name “Arewa Hope Foundation” again just like Nigerians have not heard of all the other faceless groups that were sponsored by Buratai and his gang of mass-murderers.

But for the sake of academic discourse and clarification I decided to write this piece to debunk the points raised by this faceless group. From the press conference of the group, the group “faulted what it described as attempt by counsel to the Shiite sect, Femi Falana, to cast aspersions on the composition and work of the Kaduna State Commission of Inquiry set up by the state governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, to probe into the Army, Shiite Clash”. Governor Nasir el-Rufai does not have the locusstandi to establish any commission to probe the Zaria Massacre as he played active role in the massacre by burying the bodies of the victims in a single mass grave and from credible sources some of the victims were buried alive, and he also quickly destroyed all the physical evidences of the massacre and that constituted a war crime according to the Rome Status. The same Gov el-Rufai immediately after the inhuman massacre in a state-wide address indicted IMN and its leader His Eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky. Then how can the same el-Rufai instituted a kangaroo commission to probe the massacre?

To clarify more on the heinous atrocities committed by Gov el-Rufai in Zaria Massacre. Let’s assume a group of people connived and murdered hundreds of Nigerians and they then contacted another person to help them dispose of the bodies of which majority of the victims were not even certify dead by any medical personnel. That person organized a group of grave-diggers and buried all the victims in a single mass grave. Is this person not a criminal who aided and abated the initial criminals who murdered hundreds of Nigerian civilians and burnt some of them alive? This is the position of Gov el-Rufai and how can this same man be a Judge of the heinous crime that was undoubtedly a war crime that he himself was an active accomplice?

From the report the leader of the faceless group one Muhammadu Ibrahim “wondered why Falana would be calling for the prosecution of soldiers involved in the clash when the report of the panel is yet to be released”. Femi Falana is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and by his action has acted within the confines of the laws of the Nigerian state. There is no law in Nigeria that bars Falana from calling for the prosecution of the soldiers who murdered hundreds of Nigerians and dumped their dead bodies in mass graves. IMN rightly decided to boycott the kangaroo commission due to the clearly stated reasons by Falana in his Letter, IMN is not waiting for any report of the kangaroo commission.

The report of the group states that “Ibrahim expressed concern that no one seems to be talking about justice for families of slain and injured personnel of the Nigerian Army”. Nigerians do not show concern for that because they known that Buratai & Elrufai are lying when they claimed that IMN members killed a soldier. When Buratai made his presentation to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on the casualties of the Zaria massacre, he told Nigerians that ” only 7 Shiites were killed and 10 injured “. Buratai never mentioned any deaths or injuries of Nigerian army personnel. The claims of death and injured soldiers was an after thought of the gang of mass-murderers of the Zaria massacre.

The group claimed that “Mr Falana and his client were saving face as they could not have face the revelations made about the atrocities, heinous crimes and the violent reputation of their sect.” IMN was not the entity that killed 1000+ defenseless and unarmed Nigerian civilians and dumped them in mass grave, this heinous and violent crimes and atrocities was perpetrated by the Nigerian army and the whole world is aware of that! So words such as ” heinous”, “crimes” and “atrocities” should be attributed to the Nigerian army who shot and bombed civilians during the inhuman massacre.

The faceless group also raised the same fictitious “Iranian $100 million support to IMN”, the same claim that Buratai made in fraudulently accusing Iran of been behind his recent corruption allegations of diverting funds meant to fight the Boko Haram insurgency and bought choice properties in Nigeria and Dubai, UAE. I think it is better to ask Buratai and his gang of mass-murderers how much did the Saudi regime paid them after they slaughtered 1000 Shia Muslims in Nigeria and dumped their dead bodies in mass grave? Nigerians are asking how much were they paid to massacre defenseless and unarmed Nigerians to serve a foreign imperialist agenda that has the Saudi regime as a front?

On Wednesday 6th July, 2016 the African Shurafa Forum (ASF) of the Islamic movement under the guardianship of His Eminence Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky (H) paid a courtesy visit to the famous human right activist and politician, Hajiya Naja’atu Muhammad in her house at Sharada, Kano. The visit was also part of Eid El-fitr celebration and the visiting team was warmly welcomed by their guest.

After a brief introduction from brother Mukhtar Director, the chairman of the visiting team, Sidi Atiku, addressed Hajiya Naja’atu on the purpose of their visitation. Then Hajiya Naja’atu took over and gave an inspirational speech to her visitors and wept when she narrated the tragedy of the ZariaMassacre. She said: “By Allah, He will never let go this crime. I had been to the president, Muhammad Buhari, twice and I told him that obviously a great atrocity was committed if you are the one who ordered this massacre, and if they only told you after they have perpetrated it then they have fooled you. And by Allah, He will never let go this and He will surely revenge.”

The famous politician further declared that Islamic scholars today have now turned into politicians that they don’t bother what Allah said, they only yearn for money. It is unfortunate to find none of them who will boldly stand for truth.

When talking about the lack of care and responsibility of the elites of Northern Nigeria, she said “About 1000+ of them turned into Christianity in the southern region after they were rescued from the areas affected by Boko Haram crisis. I phoned the Emir of Kano and informed him about it and he said he is aware and that they are investigating. He also said that he summoned the business community of Kano and formally addressed them on the issue as well. But there is nothing they can do, because the youths refuse to come back when they were asked, according to them there was no one to help them when they almost nakedly sleep on the streets and no one bother to help them when they almost die of hunger. Now they were housed, feed and clothed. So of what benefit are their Northern counterparts to them?”

She further added that “The Northerners are of no benefit to one another. 63% of Buhari’s budget was on the Yorubas. Northeast and Northwest only got 24% each with 12% respectively. Even agriculture that he is proud of only got 2% of the total budget.”

She said, the military carnage in Zaria is an unprecedented merciless massacre that even the Pharaoh of Egypt did not commit similar to it. She read from a book that Pharoah used to feed his people by slaughtering thousands of camels, cows and sheeps for his tribe’s survival. And this is why Allah prolonged his life. But from the day Hamana advised that the food items be reduced and weapons be bought instead for they have no knowledge of what Moses is planning, in view of that one-third of food was reduced. That same time Prophet Moses said, Allah has answered our Du’a, Pharoah was led astray by Hamana.

She further declared Northern Nigerian politicians are not mindful of their peoples lives, they don’t care if they are killed. And she said that, By Allah she fears no one, whoever is he; for that reason she speaks up against whatever is wrong. And this is what she was taught by her father during her childhood, to never fear anyone; there is nothing one can do for her, and she is still on that. She was attacked severally but Allah always delivered her. Some people stepped into her house from the roofing but she was not in the house the day Sheikh Ja’afar was killed.

She narrated how former President Jonathan attempted to kill her where said “He appointed me as minister twice and I refuse the offer, so he invited me to his residence in Aso rock. His wife squeezed my wrapper saying that there is money in it. I said I don’t like that, I have principles. I understood that she don’t know what is principles, she insisted that there is money. I said to Jonathan, you are killing Northerners under the sham of Boko Haram, you stop it no one will say you are not. I believe that you the one who kills people. And I don’t want your appointment as Minister but don’t kill me. And he said he won’t kill me. One day they invited us for an interview, I was poisoned there, I almost die, I spent two years in one hospital in Germany. I undergo six surgeries, I lost all my intestine in the process. The doctor told me that I will live a long life. My daughter failed to recognize me, she only cried the moment she saw me. For this reason, I fear no one. The greatest ignominy is to fear mankind.”

She calls upon the members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky (H) to spread the calling of the Sheikh (H) all over the world. She said that, only Sheikh Zakzaky (H) is concerned with this country’s situation and he is the only one who can bring justice. She advised the members to let the people know more about the Sheikh (H) by writing on social media. She further added that, she is no longer part of the corrupt elites, how can I be with them, do they have Heaven or Hell? I am neither after money nor after political appointments. My hope is to bring change on people’s live but they refused. I am even tired of telling them yet they refused to change. We follow Allah because of the fear we have of His Hell and yearn for His Paradise. And we follow the holy prophet (S) for his mercy. What will they be followed for?” She asked.

She narrated how well she knew Sheikh Zakzaky (H) while she was studying at ABU Zaria where she said “I was the first female president of Students Union in ABU from 1983 to 1984. One day I was invited to the mosque where they used to offer their activities under the guidance of his wife. The next week I invited twenty women from our association to the mosque.”

Well Shehu it shouldn't have happened that way. There's supposed to be inquiries and punishment. But let's all obey the law. Zakzaky is one of the courageous people around, but let's not overextend.

The government is a party to the crime committed, and in fact the guilty party. How can any inquiry be just and fair? The president has already given his verdict on live tv that hundreds deserve to be killed at four different locations for their faith and buried in mass graves because some of their coreligionists block a road to some arrogant generals. So if the president is this silly to pass a verdict on a matter of such magnitude is there any fair inquiry that the government can set up? In other countries a foreign party would conduct inquiry, like ECOWAS, AU, EU, UN, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch etc. but certainly not a party to the crime. This is the reason why the IMN chose to file a petition at the ICC in The Hague. That's the only hope to see Buratai, El Rufai and Buhari behind bars for killing innocent people in their hundreds.

Yes, those were overzealous youths. But ask yourself what were they blocking road for? And what were they protesting for? There was already an unfolding plan by the army to unleash carnage on the Husseiniyyah that day. Soldiers were already deployed at the Husseiniyyah. Of course the army will deny this sequence of event and lie just like the way they lie each time they kill people and make denials each time an international human rights organization make an indicting account of human rights abuses by the army.

Now, let us assume the road block was unprovoked. The army had used force to clear the way and in the process killed people because arrogant coward Buratai thinks his passage is worth the lives of people. Then what took them to other four locations after they had cleared the way with force? The coward got green light from the tyrant and then staged multiple attacks on the Husseiniyah (which stands demolished today), at the house of Zakzaky (which got burnt), at the darur rahma cemetery where graves were destroyed and exhumed and at the Fudiyah center which are destroyed. Those places were far from the road scene and housing people that had no knowledge about road block. That's where most of the innocent deaths took place. The army was on vengeance against peaceful worshipers.

If you read the post well, you'd see the answer about Jonathan. Jonathan exemplified what it is to be a gentleman. He personally called and apologized to Sheikh Zakzaky and cleared his name. This same el rufai defends a massacre of over a thousand at a time he's governor of Kaduna and with order from tyrant Buhari.

I guess you are referring to mut'ah marriage when talking about what you call "sleeping with people's wives". If you said that rubbish out of ignorance, may Allah forgive you. But if not, may you account for it. We do not sleep with people's wives and that is forbidden in mut'ah marriage, which is an approved form of marriage contract in Islam. Mut'ah has its rules just like in permanent marriage. Yet still, did Tyrant Buhari kill over a thousand and rendered many orphaned because of your false allegation we sleep with people's wives? If so how many more Nigerians will Buhari and his "morality army" slaughter for adultery?

We Denounce The ‘Protective Custody’ of Our Leader

People with conscience all over the world were baffled, when on Tuesday 15th June, 2016 the Directorate of State Services, DSS mentioned before a Federal High Court in Abuja that it is holding the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky “in protective custody” in order to fend him off from those who are hell bent on murdering him.

The Counter Affidavit filed by the Directorate of State Services has raided and clarified so many issues surrounding the continued incarceration of the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria.
1. The Directorate of State Services has made it clear to the Nigerian public and the international community that Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and his wife Zeenat Ibraheem have not committed any offence known to the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.2. The Directorate of State Services has also confirmed that the injuries sustained by the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and his wife Zeenat Ibraheem are life threatening and that they have spent N5, 110,000.00(Five Million, One Hundred and Ten Thousand)Naira only treating them of gunshot wounds.

3. That Directorate of State Services have also confirmed that Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and his wife Zeenat Ibraheem were never handed over to the Police for any form of investigation or interrogation.

But isn’t it ridiculous to detain an innocent Sheikh? Where in our statues books and the laws setting up that Directorate of State Services is it mentioned that a person who has not committed any offence and who no prima facie evidence links to the commission of an offence should be detained indefinitely? Indefinite detention and detention without trial are only associated with military regimes and not democratic regimes.

Secondly the DSS is admitting there are some people in the high corridors of power who want to extra judicially kill Sheikh Zakzaky, hence its giving him “protective custody” As a follow up question, why didn’t the DSS mention the name of those It is accusing of wanting to see the Sheikh dead? Are they sacred cows that the public would not be told their names? But it is public knowledge already that the GOC of One Mechanised Division Kaduna gave the order on behalf of the Nigerian Army that a “cordon and search operation” be carried out in Zaria that ultimately led to many crimes against humanity. Is the DSS now telling the Nation that it is protecting Sheikh Zakzaky from the murderers in the Nigerian Army?

It can be inferred also from the statement of the DSS before the court that all the allegations proffered by the army on why it carried out the massacre in Zaria are all false accusations. It is simply a case of some religious zealots making use of their offices to persecute a religious body that they hate so much with passion. What is the DSS doing to bring to justice those it said are plotting to kill Sheikh Zakzaky?

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria won’t accept this “protective custody” explanation of the DSS, since for some months now it has refused to grant the Sheikh access to his leading Counsel, Mr Femi Falana. For the submission of the DSS before the court to gain any merit, it should with all urgency allow the lawyers of Sheikh Zakzaky to meet and talk to him.

Also from the statement of the DSS before the court, it can be implied that the secret police of the federal government is playing blame games on a sensitive issue involving the lives of over 1000 people lost to the carnage in Zaria. If not, how can one reconcile the statements of the presidency, Army headquarters, One Mechanised Division Nigerian Army Kaduna and that of the Nigerian police with the revelations of the DSS in court?

We are therefore calling on the Federal Government to release Sheikh Zakzaky without any conditionality. It is only this step that will explain away the mystery of “protective custody”.
