IslamIslam, The Perfect Religion by SheikhMuniru(op): 10:52am On Oct 17, 2025
The religion of Islam is the best and most perfect of all religions. In His mercy and kindness Allah sent us the religion of Islam through the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) who taught us the way of worshipping Allah and the best path of life. Allah tells us in the Qur'an:

"Whenever a person refuses Islam and chooses some other religion, it will not be accepted from him and he will be among the losers in the Hereafter."

The religion of Islam teaches us the true knowledge of Allah, how to behave with our parents, how to behave with others, and what things to do in order to be happy in this world and the Hereafter.

The religion of Islam teaches us the permitted (halal) things that we can do and the forbidden (haram) things that we must not do.

The religion of Islam is the key to freedom for all the oppressed people of the world.

Who is a Muslim?
A Muslim is a person who:

a. Believes in the One Allah and the Hereafter.

b. Recognizes Muhammad (s.a.w.) as the last of Allah's prophets.

c. Submits to the instructions of Allah and Muhammad (s.a.w.) in all things.

d. Befriends and helps Muslims, but is an enemy to the Oppressors.

The Qur'an, and Message of God
The Qur'an is a heavenly message and the programme of our lives. Allah in His Mercy sent this book of light and guidance to mankind through His Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.).

The Qur'an is a book of truth, justice and freedom. It teaches us the highest, noblest path of life. It teaches us knowledge of Allah and the way of worshipping Him. It teaches us complete discernment of good and bad in ethics and behavior.

It teaches us self-sacrifice, for the Qur'an is a message of martyrdom. it says to us: Do not oppress, but don't submit to oppression. Do not be afraid of death with martyrdom, and do not compromise with the oppressors.

The Qur'an tells us: rely on the power and might of Allah and do not be afraid of other than Him. Be stern and severe with the disbelievers and oppressors, and bring them to their knees, but towards one another be kind and merciful.

The Qur'an tells us: be united and cry out for truth and justice in unison. Obey the religious leadership and carry out the command of fighting against the oppressors and delivering people from the claws of oppressions. In this way, you will live in freedom and honor in this world and have felicity and bliss in the Hereafter.

Muslims must learn how to read the Qur'an and, with the help and guidance of the religious scholars, understand its contents. The Muslim must practise the Qur'an's life bestowing and liberating instructions himself, and also teach others to do the same.

Our Holy Prophet tells us: "The best of you is he who learns the Qur'an and teaches it to others.

He has also told us: "Whoever follows the Qur'an will go to Paradise, and whoever ignores the Qur'an will go to Hell."

On this same axis, after stopping me, checked my documents, the officers that called themselves highway patrol misplaced my car documents, gave it to another driver. After we settled, I asked for my car documents, he couldn't provide them and I told him if they stop me how can I defend myself with the car documents you've misplaced, he told me I should collect his phone number, call him anywhere they stop me. He gave me his second line and told me to store it with OMO AIYE. Before getting to ORE on my way to ONDO another highway patrol stopped me asked for my documents, I told them what I passed through on the same road in the same day. I tried calling OMO AIYE officer to explain to his co officers how he misplaced my car documents, OMO AIYE's phone number not going through!

It is just unfortunate we found ourselves in the hands of unprofessional police officers in Nigeria!

EducationOgun Govt Implements Six-year Textbook Policy by SheikhMuniru(op): 10:24am On Sep 15, 2025
…bans extravagant graduation ceremonies

The Ogun State Government has ordered that all schools in the state must adhere to a six-year cycle before effecting any change in textbooks.

It officially placed a ban on extravagant graduation ceremonies across schools in the state, thereby limiting official celebrations to only three key academic transition levels.

The government declared that the decision was aimed at curbing the rising culture of excesses often associated with graduation parties at other levels.

The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, disclosed the new textbook policy in Ogun while briefing journalists on the state’s preparedness for the 2024/2025 academic session.

He explained that the directive became necessary to promote moderation and reduce the financial burden on parents.

“Graduation ceremonies should be modest and reflect true academic milestones, rather than turning into lavish social events,” he said.

He expressed concern that elaborate celebrations for nursery, kindergarten, or other non-transition classes had placed undue pressure on parents while diverting attention from the core essence of education.

In the same vein, the government directed that all schools must strictly adhere to a six-year cycle before effecting any change in textbooks.

Arigbabu said no school is permitted to alter prescribed books until such materials have been in use for at least six academic years.

He explained that the policy was introduced to ease the financial strain on parents, many of whom are compelled to buy new textbooks almost every session.

“Quality education does not depend on frequent textbook changes but on effective teaching and the proper use of available resources,” he noted, warning that schools that impose unnecessary book changes would face sanctions.

The commissioner assured that the ministry would monitor compliance closely, stressing that the policy aligns with the state’s broader reforms to make education affordable and impactful.

He urged parents, school administrators, and teachers to support the initiative, assuring them that the decision was in the best interest of both learners and families.

Popular Nollywood actor, Ibrahim Chatta, is mourning following the death of his son.

The 54-year-old actor shared the heartbreaking news in a post on his Instagram page on Saturday, though he did not provide details about his son’s passing.

Sharing a photo of the late boy, Chatta wrote, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Ya Allah, You are the Knower of all things. Rest on, Dear son, champ.”

Following the announcement, Chatta’s colleagues and fans flooded the comments section with messages of condolence.

The development comes days after veteran actress, Peju Ogunmola, also lost her only son, Ayomikun. Ayomikun, who was in his early 30s, died in Ibadan earlier this week.

The two incidents have thrown the Nollywood community into mourning, with colleagues and fans expressing shock at the double tragedies.

Chatta had in June recounted how he lost his first child, a daughter, years ago.

He attributed her passing to financial hardship and inadequate medical care.

Chatta revealed that he had to bury his daughter in an old wooden Coca-Cola crate after failing to afford a proper coffin.

PoliticsBamidele Abiodun Pays Tribute To Her Son, Gbemiga Aka DJ Olu by SheikhMuniru(op): 9:37pm On Aug 14, 2025
The first lady of Ogun state, Bamidele Abiodun, took to social media to pay tribute to her son, Gbemiga aka DJ Olu, who would have turned a year older today August 14.

Late DJ Olu alongside his friend Chime passed away on October 7, 2017. He was 24 years old.

Mrs Bamidele wrote
‘’2017 October, Lamissa to me, "Mummy you know, no matter how happy a situation is for us following this, it will never be complete because Gbemiga will not be there. We have to learn to live with that."

How right she was at such a sad reality.

It is your birthday again, and I am grateful, so grateful to God for many things. Happy too, but my happiness is always interrupted by the jolt of the reality, you're not here to celebrate with us, nor we with you.

Despite my faith in God, I am honest with myself enough to know this is an enduring pain, imagining what you would look like, how different my life would have been having you here, all the plans you had for yourself and for me; our precious, very honest moments. Oh, my heart breaks as I write this, and imagine what could have been, but God knows best and allowed things to be this way.

My Gbemiga, continue to rest in peace, as we continue to remember you fondly on your birthday, because I know this is what you would have wanted. Love you this birthday, and always.''

CrimeHow Suspected Ritualist Mutilated My 16-year-old Son – Ogun Driver by SheikhMuniru(op): 7:26am On Aug 02, 2025
A commercial driver, Olumide Lawal, has narrated how a suspected ritualist, Salawu Omikansola, killed and dismembered his 16-year-old son, Wahab Lawal, for ritual purposes in the Igbile Ijebu area of Ogun State.

Lawal disclosed this in an exclusive interview with PUNCH Metro on Wednesday.

PUNCH Metro reported that the Ogun State Police Command, in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, disclosed that Lawal had reported his son missing on July 21.

Odutola had noted that on July 23, the decomposed body of the boy was found along the expressway with some body parts, including his head, wrists, heart, and genitals, mutilated.

Odutola had also disclosed that police operatives, while acting on credible intelligence, arrested Salawu Omikansola and Serefusi Agemo in connection with the incident.

Speaking with our correspondent, Lawal narrated that his mother had called him to ask if Wahab was at his place because they couldn’t locate his whereabouts.

Lawal noted that upon receiving the call, he drove from Ijebu-Ode to Ijebu Igbile to meet his mother, and they both searched the entire community without any trace of the missing son.

He narrated that he reported the matter immediately to the police, and they continued the search until Wednesday, when some members of the Igbile community told him that they saw his clothes and sandals along the road.

He continued, “On Wednesday, I left home by 4 a.m. because I was uncomfortable, and I continued to search everywhere, but I couldn’t find him. I went home, but at about 2 p.m., when I returned to Igbile, some women came to me and said they saw clothes and sandals that looked like those of my child I was looking for when they were returning from the farm, and they were suspecting that my son had been killed.

I was surprised — how could he have been killed? And I said they should take me there. The people were scared, so I took a bike and when I got to the scene, I met my son’s corpse. He had been killed. His head, his two wrists, his heart, and his private parts had been chopped off.”

He said he reported the discovery to the police, who instructed that the deceased’s body should be buried.

Following the discovery, Lawal noted that he began to sniff for information in the area and eventually learnt that some vigilantes had accosted a man with bloodstains all over his body on the day his son went missing.

Armed with the information, he began a hunt alongside the police for the suspect, and they eventually arrested him.

Lawal narrated that following the suspect’s arrest, he confessed that he was allegedly instructed by a traditionalist to kill the boy.

He continued, “While I was sniffing around for information, I heard from someone that someone was accosted at about 1 a.m. on Monday by vigilantes, and the person had bloodstains on his clothes and body. But when they asked him where he got the stains, he said he had gone to kill a dog for someone celebrating Ogun Ajobo, which made the vigilantes free him.

"Someone pointed the suspect out to me, and I informed the police, who arrested him and took him to their station. I believe that after he was investigated, he began confessing that he was sent by one Serefusi to kill the boy.

“He gave the police the details of how they killed the boy and dismembered his body, which prompted them to arrest Serefusi. He said he was scared when he was asked to kill the boy, but Serefusi told him not to be afraid. Serefusi is the head of the Agemo worshippers in the community.”

Lawal concluded by appealing to the state government and all relevant institutions to ensure that justice prevailed in the matter.

“My appeal to the government is that they should not let the death of my son be in vain. I want justice for him because I am beginning to hear that Serefusi is influential and has backup that may help him evade justice,” Lawal concluded.

As of the time of filing this report, our correspondent could not obtain comments from the suspects, Omikansola and Serefusi, as they remained in custody.

PUNCH Metro reported on a similar incident on Thursday when the Anambra State Police Command arrested one female suspect identified as Somtochukwu Nwafor, aged 24 years, in connection with the murder of a pregnant nurse in Umueri village, Ogbunike, in the Oyi Local Government Area of the state.

Our correspondent had gathered that the prime suspect, who is currently on the run, lured the nurse on the pretence that he was seeking medication, after which he killed the victim and buried the mutilated body parts in a soakaway pit.

PoliticsPrimate Ayodele: A Priest Or Political Analyst? His 8 Prophecies That Failed by SheikhMuniru(op): 1:56pm On Jul 30, 2025
Prophets are highly esteemed figures due to their spiritual capability to predict future events.

Their insights, interpretations, and revelations are viewed as sacred because of the powerful potential for accurate fulfillment.

However, when prophecies consistently fail to materialize as promised, they can be more aptly characterized as disingenuous claims or ‘commercial prophecies.’

In light of his recurring failures to accurately predict political outcomes, one can’t help but question whether Primate Babatunde Ayodele predictions genuinely originate from divine inspiration or if they are simply reinterpretations of ongoing political chatter.

On several occasions, his forecasts seem to align closely with insights typically offered by seasoned political analysts and party insiders, which raises doubts about their authenticity.

His prophecies have undeniably garnered him a large following among churchgoers, leading to an intriguing inquiry: does the divine grant him daily insights, or is he merely a political cleric whose fervor for the altar overshadows a desire for political influence?

Remarkably, he has missed the mark in more than ten notable predictions, with one of the most absurd miscalculations being his forecast about a football match: he confidently asserted that Liverpool would triumph over Luton Town, only for the match to remain unresolved well before the final whistle blew, exposing the flaw in his prediction.

One of Ayodele’s recent high-profile predictions came just before the U.S. Presidential election. On 29th September, less than two months before Americans went to the polls, he issued a bold prophecy, stating that Vice President Kamala Harris would emerge victorious.

Through a statement released by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin Ayodele asserted that the 2024 U.S. election would mirror some of the controversies seen in African elections, including vote-buying and intimidation tactics.

‘The American election will be very tough and will take another dimension,” Ayodele declared. “They will play the kind of politics we see in Africa; there will be vote-buying, intimidations, and things that haven’t happened before will begin to take place.”

He went further, confidently predicting that if the election took place, “Trump will not win, he will lose. Kamala Harris will shock the world, her policies will be better than Trump’s. Trump will be another disaster for the world, and if there is an election today, he will fail.”

Ayodele also warned that if Trump lost, he might attempt to incite protests and unrest in the United States, saying, “He must be careful.”

However, the reality of the election unfolded quite differently. Contrary to Ayodele’s prophecy, Donald Trump clinched a decisive victory, leaving many to wonder if Ayodele’s declaration had ever been divinely inspired. With such a glaring misstep, it becomes evident that Ayodele’s prediction was far from accurate. This significant blunder brings into question the nature and origin of his so-called prophecies.

Did God truly reveal the outcome of the U.S. Presidential election to Ayodele? The answer appears to be a resounding ‘no.’ Instead, Ayodele’s prediction seems to fit the warning outlined in Deuteronomy. This was not a revelation from above but rather the words of a prophet speaking presumptuously, casting doubt upon his self- proclaimed divine insight

Below are eight failed prophecies he had made among several others

1. Kamala Harris not Donald Trump would win US election in 2024

Trump will not win, he will lose. Kamala Harris will shock the world, her policies will be better than Trump’s. Trump will be another disaster for the world, and if there is an election today, he will fail.”

RESULT: Contrary to Ayodele’s prophecy, Donald Trump clinched a decisive victory

2. Anti-corruption war will backfire

Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele said that Nigerians should not expect President Muhammadu Buhari to achieve much in the anti-corruption war.

RESULT: The anti-corruption body EFCC have been more active under Buhari’s administration, with with many prominent Nigerians and leaders currently investigated for collecting huge sums of money from the Office of the ex-National Security Adviser , Sambo Dasuki.

3. Liverpool will beat Luton more than two goals

He said: “Liverpool will beat Luton very well. Liverpool will beat them with more than two goals.”

RESULT: Liverpool struggled and required a last-minute goal to secure a 1-1 draw with Luton. Despite having 23 attempts at goal, Liverpool failed to convert many of their chances.

4. Glory of Lagos APC fading

"The glory of Lagos APC is fading except the party hierarchy makes hasty restitution otherwise time is not on their side as regards the governorship election. They have committed a blunder with the choice of Akinwunmi Ambode as governorship candidate. Only prayer can change the tide.

RESULT: The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode was declared the winner of the April 11 election.

PoliticsOgun Guber: Insiders Reveal Why Tinubu Will Decide APC Candidate —Yayi Leads by SheikhMuniru(op): 6:28am On Jul 30, 2025
Top-level party insiders have disclosed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will ultimately decide who flies the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial flag in Ogun State for the 2027 election — even though Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, currently leads the race in terms of grassroots popularity and early groundwork.

According to credible sources within the APC, the intense internal contest for the party’s ticket has escalated into a high-stakes power struggle marked by sectional interests and rival power blocs, particularly between Ogun West and Ogun Central.

The APC has effectively ruled out Ogun East from contention due to the incumbent Governor Dapo Abiodun hailing from that region and serving two consecutive terms — an arrangement many within the party consider a closed chapter.

However, Ogun East is not entirely out of the equation. Outside the APC, the zone is making a fresh push for the governorship through Ladi Adebutu, the expected candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Adebutu, a serial contender, came close to unseating Abiodun in the last election, and party sources suggest he is already regrouping for a stronger showing in 2027.

Among APC hopefuls, Senator Adeola Yayi remains the most visible and widely supported — especially in Ogun West, a zone that has never produced a governor since the state was created in 1976. His early mobilisation, sustained political outreach, and well-funded grassroots engagement have earned him a clear advantage.

“Yayi is the only one who has run a full pre-campaign structure in all 20 local governments since 2023,” a senior party official said. “He’s put in the work and built goodwill across zones.”

Yet, despite his strong standing, powerful interest groups in Ogun Central — where an influential former Governor still commands loyalty — are quietly promoting alternative aspirants to secure a foothold.

This fragmentation, party insiders say, has created a stalemate — making it difficult for the party to reach a natural consensus without external arbitration.

With multiple camps refusing to step down, many believe that only President Tinubu has the stature and authority to settle the matter.

“This is beyond popularity now,” another party chieftain confided. “The structure of the contest has become too complex. It will take the president’s directive to forge unity and prevent an implosion.”

Tinubu, known for exerting significant influence over political processes within the APC, especially in the Southwest, is expected to play the kingmaker role when the internal jostling becomes unresolvable.

The same pattern played out in Lagos in previous cycles, where his final say determined the party’s flag bearer regardless of early frontrunners.

The outcome of the Ogun APC primary is likely to shape the party’s strength going into the general election. Insiders warn that if the eventual candidate does not emerge through a process perceived as fair and inclusive, it could spark internal rebellion and defections.

Some analysts believe that if Yayi is passed over despite his popularity and efforts, his supporters may feel alienated — a risk the APC may want to avoid, particularly given Adebutu’s growing strength in Ogun East.

“It’s not just about picking a candidate; it’s about keeping the house intact,” said a Southwest political strategist. “Whoever the president supports must be able to unify the various factions and compete effectively against a motivated

As the battle for Ogun 2027 intensifies, it is increasingly clear that beyond popularity, political calculations and centralised intervention will define who gets the APC ticket. Senator Yayi remains the man to beat — but with sectional dynamics, legacy rivalries, and presidential influence at play, the final decision rests in the hands of the man at the very top: President Bola Tinubu.
