Mr Michael Obi father of Super Eagles midfielder and captain Mikel Obi was kidnapped recently and he has been rescued from the kidnappers.

According to the cable Ebere Amaraizu, spokesperson of the Enugu state police command disclosed that Mr Obi was abducted along Makurdi-Enugu Road on January 29 on his way from Jos.
