As regards your 2nd and 3rd line, what do u take of this? Mechanical Engineering was advertised under Engineers and not under EME, of which mech Engr is the CORE embodiment of EME and to the best of my knowledge NAE don't necessarily needs Mechanical Engineers

Egbon Sheriff232 and juicy oga mangojuice, what do you guys take of this Professional body registration thing (especially for bodies outside the medical field) that NA is doing in this recruitment? I have met lot DSSC 22 n 23 guys who only registered after they joined the job.
Though for some corps it wasn't explicitly advertised that you must be a registered member of this bodies but during registration one now come across a compulsory place that you are to fill about the professional body membership. Unlike that of navy that it was explicitly stated that it WOULD ONLY BE ADDED ADVANTAGE

All this talk about DSSC, SSC or RC, the bottom line is this "Army is Army" and Nigerian Army is Nigerian Army.

So whether it is DSSC, SSC or RC, join the Army, be an officer.

what I have come to understand in NA is that you can achieve anything regards a appointment except few positions restricted for combatant (like GOC, COAS, CDS) if you have the right connections and the wit to also play the inside politics, you are good to go.
I personally know of DSSC that converted to DRC who held positions as Commanding officers, Commanders of Corps (Division wise) and also Corp Commanders. if you check the NA seniority role you would see DSSC now DRC as Major Generals and Brig. Gen while a whole lot as Colonels. if you can attain the rank of a Colonel your military career is Very very successful and you can go to your village a happy man. We are even aware of an SSC become a COAS sef
Let's keep our fingers crossed and be hopeful, the fact is once enlisted,not all of us we brandish the One or two star on our vehicles or even be a redneck, the privilege to even wear the khaki alone and be awake for others to sleep peacefully would be enough satisfaction and achievement for some of us. Even when I have age on my side to even apply for SSC 46, I personally don't want to apply for SSC even though I know the long run benefits of SSC, because I am a guy that likes to get dirty as an engineer, likes to wear my overall 247 and resolve critical problems around operation systems of equipments and SSC may most likely deprive me of that if I unfortunately gets posted to a core combat corps. Because I feel this SSC 45 is to fill and meet up with the current security challenges plaguing the country in the NE. I would like to go to the NE but as a support ARM.

DSSC date of POP differs from RC/SSC guys I think they commision the DSSC guys earlier(around July).

I don't think is going to be like that this time around cos if we are to pass out with RC next year then the recruitment will be faster than that of course 44

Please I will appreciate your response on this following; A close pal of mine was told he has flat foot during the screening FRSC Job he applied for, of which he was shocked because he never discovered that since he has been pursuing military career. He has applied for this SSC course 45, He is good to go on every other aspects but just the flat foot he is concerned about. please from your experience what's your say on the flat foot as per the SSC screening. ? Thanks in anticipation

according to u sir u prefer us to go for ssc if we have age on our side Dan dssc but dey are passing out wit lieutenant and we 2nd lieutenant and we wait for 5yrs to reach lieutenant so hw dat an advantage

Sir, that small eagle badge(Airborne) I see officers especially RC guys where, does any SSC44 Offr have that badge/ attend any airborne course?

This is the logistics Corp of the Nigerian army,an enjoyment Corp but its not easy to get,they prefer combatants there,good luck,even if you are shortlisted you might see yourself in another Corp......just pray for God's favour

I have a knack for being in a Spy ring, Intelligence circle, Secret service, etc
I couldn't apply for Intelligence Corps under DSSC because my course was not listed.
And since age is still on my side, I applied for SSC.

what are my chances of being posted to the Intelligence Corps, Defense Intelligence Agency, or Public Relation ?

My only problem is I was diagnosed with Hepatits b. But it was a shock to me as I never felt any sign associated with hepatitis,I never knew,I taught it was a fabrication the navy did to disqualify me but when I came back I tested positive. I went for LFT,they said it has not affected any part of my body or internal system and it will go on its own. For over a year now it has not left. My question is: WHY DO THE MILITARY DISQUALIFY ONE COZ OF HEPATITIS? IS THERE A WAY OUT FOR ME OR I SHOULD JUST GIVE UP? this is the only obstacle I have. I got 2.1,24years old,1.75m,58kg,every requirement I have! Please your responses!

I spoke with an SSC officer who is now a Major and he explained in details how promotion is done. After the exams (some don't even pass mind you), there will be a board that will discuss each candidate. If they fit his character has been satisfactory and he deserves promotion, they will promote him. But if not, let him score 10000/100 they won't promote him

I totally disagree with you as per SSC . Apart from passing the exam, you have to be recommended for promotion or else stagnancy.

Sheff man I guess u are SSC 44 seriously I know is not about muscle but do u want me to sit and watch another person take my place in screening abeg when I become a cadet I will start enduring. Pls can ur take us through from ur credentials screening till last day to get a glimpse of what to expect. Have heard from others ooo but Der is alwayz 2 sides to a coin pls if u can

from the little I know, DSSC are also deployed in warfronts especially those of us going for the Engineers Corps, there are field engineers and also infantry support engineers, even those in Intelligence, EME,Signals corps, they are also deployed there. whatever the case maybe everyone is FIRST trained as a SOLDIER, and the fact that you're are DSSC doesn't stop you from going for Infantry courses lol and be well groomed about core battle strategies

Padi start from today and mind u learn the original push ups and sit-ups cos fake plenty full everywhere. It's not that hard u just need focus and determination. I can do 50pushups and 40situps in 3min no bragging just practice
