If this calender is followed last week of Dec. Should be the list
Documentation is for people who are already commissioned or cadets about to pass out,the new forecast will not be pleasant to you people who are waiting, lets hope selection exercise is conducted earlier before the stated date if not you people are in for a very long Wait.

Their own is different, they pass out after four years but they are not commissioned until they finish their one year special training after which they hang their Lieutenant equivalent rank.

Please someone should help me explain this:

Officer cadets who successfully complete the military training shall be granted the rank of Lieutenant with no advantage of seniority
It simply means that your seniority on the rank starts from the day you pass out, this is for DSSC officers, but RC and SSC has advantage of seniority, the seniority for RC starts from the date of commencement of training ie 5Years,then after POP they will pass out as Second Lieutenant which they will wear for six months and they will be promoted to Lieutenant effective date of POP,on the other hand,SSC pass out with 3Years seniority which means they have to wear second lieutenant rank for additional 2Years before they are promoted. As DSSC you are decorated straight because of speciciality though not all courses listed are professional but it's an advantage. For DSSC & 24 SSC 45,A time will come when all of you will normalize , the seniority is always at the beginning.Keep hope alive and pray to be shortlisted, despite all challenges the army is a very prestigious profession, manage and join.

Oga sherrif I went to my uni today for attestation letter at the registry dept but the secretary to the register told me they only give to students who are yet to collect their certificate. Do you think it will be a problem if I don't get it or should I just get someone to sign in my dept
If that's their policy then use the one from your department, just make sure that it's genuine and that the person that issued it is willing to take responsibility when they come to verify, goodluck

any lecturer in ur debt can write attestation letter for u so far a letter headed paper is used and debt stamp is available, when I went to my school my Hod was not on seat but his secretary was around so she help me call d hod, d hod said she should do it 4 me and even sign but she refuse to sign but gave it to another lecturer to sign, she then stamp it. But no b free sha.
If you cannot get from the registry of your school just forget about it and present what you have, the essence of the attestation is to confirm that you are a graduate of the institution and that your certificate is genuine, this also makes verification easier for the military secretary and or intelligence.A lecturer and or HOD can only give you letter of good character

“Applicants should be between 22 and 30 years by 30 September 2019 (22-35 for Consultants). Any age declaration done earlier than 5 years to this exercise will not be acceptable.”
Age not change of name affidavit
The year you swore the affidavit doesn't matter, what is important is regularity of your claimed age,you cannot change your age just for the purpose of the recruitment when your documents differ.

I can't remember insulting anyone here Or is the "Civilian" now an insult ?? You people have problem walahi. where in the history of NDA you will hear that passing out is been done in March ?? Except he actually meant Executive Commission... Always have it in mind that you people will be passing out September.... As for you saying I might not pass out is totally not your concern for now... manage and hang something.
Don't say what you don't know, even the present CoAS passed out in Dec. during his time.for RC it may be conducted September/Oct because of academic calendar but SSC can pass out anytime depending on when they started training.Morever, you are coming here to exhibit immaturity.I still wonder how you are using phone in Afaka, face your studies I advise

Gentle men, in the course of serving your fatherland,as a personnel guard your tongue, the job is very slippery, always learn to make comments without insulting anybody and overlook things that doesn't matter........ good luck as you guys await the shortlist, finally you can pass out any month within the calendar year, the idea of combining POP started around 2014 when the then president was not comfortable with visiting NDA twice in a year, that doesn't mean that under unusual conditions that the President cannot do it,he can delegate vice president for the task,if you people were not screened this month then the possibility of resuming training January is lean because SSC training is 9 months and for them to pass out with RC next year they have to start atleast January NB:By right they are supposed to have resumed.

The list will be out anytime soon, Cos you guys will resume with us in second quarter and Second quarter is 2nd January.
How sure are you, second quarter is between April and may, if you are to resume training January then selection board should hold this month, the only thing I can tell you guys is to pray that selection board holds this month,if not then it's after election and that means training resumes by June,DSSC pass out by December and SSC pass out by March 2020

Thats not what i mean. Verification is normal . I would try to seek where it was stated on this thread but the guy who posted it made it sound like the credential screening process would take place all over again
There's no screening again rather all documents you submitted will undergo a thorough verification process to ascertain the authenticity of all documents submitted, make sure all documents are original and valid if not you will suffer in vain,NO FORGERY.

@Sheriff232, @Lebete 3000, during training, after how many months will cadets stop wearing the white shirt and blue shorts with canvass?
When do they start wearing army regalia?
You can start wearing uniforms after passing drill test but the Navy blue Short and white shirt can be worn at any time so long as you are a cadet

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigerian Army SSC And DSSC 2016/2017 Forum by Sheriff232: 7:31am On Nov 25, 2018
Gentlemen, good morning, what happened few days ago is one of the things associated with profession of arms and that is an indirect way of telling you guys of what might befall you when you join though we are not praying for it.However, the video being circulated is not that of the latest encounter with insurgents that regretably led to the death of the commanding officer.
If you have chosen army as a profession i advice you to begin to tune your minds towards ignoring propaganda of any sort, the profession you want to join has a lot of enemies ,if you are not ready to fight better start looking another direction.
Finally, the army is a way of life not a job you wake up and out of frustration decides to join, pray to God for direction,he will surely guide you.

What were you expecting him to say....

95% of any military man you see would advice you not to join the army Navy or Airforce...blablablablabla

He didn't tell you that some are in offices from the first day of them been commissioned till they retire.

He doesn't want you to join so that you won't be better than him in the future.

In this world there are two people who would never get jealous of your success...ever....they are your dad and mum.....even your siblings would get jealous at some point, they won't show it...but it's there.

No fear.....

Look at the men behind obasanjo, yaradua (best presido ever), good luck, and buhari.....are they not soldiers.....are they not enjoying....

My brother it is true.....God is in charge of everything.....but remember He will use men to favour us,He won't come down by himself

Army job no easy....but there are still others enjoying it to the fullest.
Oboy it's not always so,you can be great without being in the army,if you desire the job then join but if you are attracted by uniform or show of force and power you will be disappointed, now any body in the system knows which arm of the service is enjoyable,so if they are advising you, don't take is as if they don't like your progress

Oga sherrif

Slot
Political influence
Brig. General influence as I saw in a post before

Does that mean that generals have slot.....don't be exact...just give a rough view of how the selection game is played...

Is there a possibility of been chosen by merit.

Or numbers are dropped...search and put it in the list.....

Which way is the way.....

I know about it....but just to help add more to what I know.....too much knowledge no be waste
The chances of getting shortlisted is highly dependent on destiny and God,if you have someone close to the system you can make enquiries but i advise you pray about this job very well,if your name come out you take it as God's plan for you but if it doesn't life continues.........prayer is very important, there's no point joining a job that you might not survive the rigours,we have lost some course mates both during training and after POP,am not scaring anyone but it's the reality.............and important thing is that you are where God wants you to be,......General or no general what's your own is your own....... With respect to slot,it's not a matter of connection, some will get without connection........even if you have connection the person will not do the training for you
