Agbegbaorogboye: The north have really suffered under this govt . Its not only the north. I have family in Ago IwoyE and Ijebu Ode and it is worse. It is now normal for them to only have electricity for a few hours every three to four days. They lament about high cost of food and when you even manage to buy and cook, No electricity to preserve and all goes bad. Tinubu governemt is really the worst in the history of Nigeria. Thisis a man that said, if I do not give you electricity, do not vot for me second term. |

Politics › Re: Nigeria Cuts Power Supply To Niger Republic by shiwex: 11:43am On Apr 17, 2025 |
This is concerning news. Nigeria is failing to meet its obligation to supply a specified amount of electricity to the Republic of Niger. If Niger proceeds with damming the River Niger, it could result in a complete loss of electricity for us. This situation is reminiscent of the issues Egypt is facing with its neighboring countries.
The agreement between Nigeria and Niger concerning the River Niger includes provisions for electricity supply. Nigeria has been supplying electricity to Niger as part of a bilateral agreement aimed at fostering cooperation and preventing the need for Niger to dam the River Niger |

[quote author=elantraceey post=134858052]---
Nigeria is not a misogynistic entity. The discrimination between men and women is indeed a serious issue, but it is incorrect to label the entire nation as such. Regarding the matter of citizenship, it is unreasonable to expect someone to obtain a Nigerian passport if they do not reside in Nigeria. Marrying a Nigerian woman does not automatically confer Nigerian citizenship upon the husband; rather, it is the wife who may acquire citizenship of another country.
The wife should obtain an American passport, not the husband a Nigerian passport. To call Nigeria a misogynistic entity is erroneous. Individuals often use such terms when they cannot achieve their desired outcomes, as seen in developed countries where men are sometimes oppressed. It is surprising that you did not address the situation in developed countries where men are treated poorly and have become second-class citizens.

Acekidc4: Accusations, counter accusations flying everywhere🧐 countries poking threatening fingers at each other day after day. America too is not helping matters especially Ranting Trump misbehaving like a bad B.itch.
Other countries too including Nigeria should stop being leeches begging for crumbs from America. Also Trade Tariffs between countries should be 50-50. --- It cannot be an equal competition. Usain Bolt and yourself cannot start a 100m race and you expect to achieve a fair outcome. There is a reason why certain restrictions are necessary. Do you think our agricultural sector can compete with that of America? Our farmers will become jobless overnight if we allow their products in. Even Europe imposes restrictions on certain items from America due to quality concerns. Most agricultural produce from America consists of genetically modified products, which have been linked to obesity and other health issues[1]( https://statcarewalkin.com/info/list-of-diseases-caused-by-gmo-foods.html). Europe has informed America that it will not permit certain produce due to unacceptable levels of banned substances[2]( https://european-union.europa.eu/priorities-and-actions/actions-topic/agriculture_en)[3]( https://agriculture.ec.europa.eu/farming/crop-productions-and-plant-based-products/fruit-and-vegetables_en). Nigeria should not allow America to exert undue influence. We do not desire the tasteless products they consume over there. |

All doctors Koreans and Nigerians troop in there for treatment..... there are Chinese companies when you go in you think you are in china.... there are private estates that are only Chinese....Sense will always be far from people like you because you think very low.... Creating a private estate exclusively for Chinese or any group of foreigners can raise several concerns:Legal and Ethical Issues, Social Integration, Economic Impact,, National Security, Community Relations etc. Things like this are generally prohibited by law in many countries. |

Opebiman: U.S consulate Lagos
Lagos is making history!
The U.S. is building its biggest consulate in the world right in Eko Atlantic City. This $537 million, 12.2-acre masterpiece blends cutting-edge design, sustainability, and resilience.
With a Diagrid Façade inspired by Nigerian patterns, smart energy use, water recycling, and storm resistance, this isn’t just a building—it’s the future. Why do they need such an enormous building in Lagos? Just another way of running its covert operations and continuing to distabilize Nigeria |
