Your waiting time was less probably because they had less applications to attend to.

On the application, you pay $101 dollars as standard before you can submit your visa application (this was in September) then, I wondered if a part of the £250 or 246k naira was completing the above payment to a total of £250 for priority.

As I mentioned earlier, as of the time these applications/biometrics were made our experience was different e.g the cost was £250 for priority I believe before the increase recently.

Whatever the case maybe, I recommend finding out more if in doubt.

Oh my God. If it is a priority application you would pay for it. I never said it is not available to purchase. The money does not go to TLS. It goes to the Home office and tbat is why priority and super priority are only collected in pounds. I repeat it is a UKVI service.
Your mother and sisters applications were not priority applications.
They were treated fast according to you because the PH centre currently has low waiting times for now and NOT because they paid for it.
Stop arguing about what you have not understood or do not know. Your file jacket would also be a different COLOUR on biometrics day and not same as standard applications.
Priority is a UKVI service and the payment goes directly to UKVI and as such is classed as a REGULATED service. Not to TLS. If you kindly would open your tls page and see that priority and super priority fees are only collected in British pounds while the other fees are charged in naira. They are also not found on the first page but on the last page. That is step 2.
Sms, premium lounge, primetime, flexi, courier, keep your passport etc are services offered directly by that TLS location so are collected in Naira. For an application to be processed PRIORITY OR SUPER PRIORITY it would need to be paid for in BRITISH POUNDS and the application set at the top of the queue and the money for this is transferred directly to the UKVI and thus collected in pounds.

First of all, you can actually pass your input across without being rude and condescending. We are all trying to help.

Secondly, I’m not dragging it out I merely pointed out what I saw on the gov.uk website and my personal experience.

Priority fees are £500 flat. The centre states that the fees are for courier, sms and premium lounge. It does not cover priority. If they decide before the stipulated time then that’s great but it doesn’t cover priority as priority fees are paid straight to UKVI and can not be conjoined with courier fees and premium lounge fees which are collected in Naira by TLS.

This is not true at the moment, see the schedule attached from Gov.UK

I live in the UK so I’m not the best person to answer this question but I remember my mom saying that the venue (hotel presidential) required they alight at ‘Rumola’ motor park of Peace Mass Transit and then walk or take a bolt taxi.

If your sister is sponsoring your trip 100% then you need to add the £3000 to ‘How much are they paying towards your trip’ question. Then under where it asks ‘how much money are you planning to spend’ add £1.

As a student, your stated yearly allowance of 600k is way less than the £3K of YOUR OWN MONEY you said you will spend personally on your trip in addition to the £3K from your sister (sponsor).
The above is an error on your path as you may have quoted that figure without understanding the question asked.

The refusal letter also mentioned that you have not demonstrated a strong family, economic or social ties to your home country: as a student you could add your 1. Academic transcripts, evidence of your involvement in SUG activities, any leadership positions you currently hold in your department or student union or even church or your community.
Also, a cover letter stating why you need to make this trip at this time instead of focusing on your academics.

I was in a similar situation - in my case, I got my mum’s DOB wrong whilst applying for my visa 5 years ago and even when I renewed it (I wrote 6th June 1965 when infact it is 16th June 1954). Last month I needed to apply for her visitor visa to come to the UK, it worried me when I saw her passport and other official docs showing the correct DOB. I was devastated. How can this be. But I still just applied and hoped that they won’t check my application history. To make it worst, I lost my birth certificate many many years ago so I couldn’t provide a solid proof that she was my mother except via pictures (a lot of pictures).

Her visa was granted!!

You can write a letter of consent and in the letter explain that you are aware of her visit and you consent to this and also, you consent to your joint account being used as sponsor evidence.

It should be successful. If it wasn’t you should have received an email to that effect.

1. employment letter
2. bank statement
3. payslips
4. utility bill
5. my BRP and passport
6. me and my sisters birth certificate to show proof that we are related and to my mom as well
7. an invitation letter from me

My question now is that, I stay in a houseshare only meant for one person and uploading my tenancy agreement counters their accomodation confirmation as it states that the room is meant for only one person. What document can they use instead? Should I book an hotel?

Also, should they apply for 6 months or 2-years. This is their first time coming to the UK and I don't know

Also, their bank statements shows a huge sum of money. This was sent to them after they sold one of my father's property (who is late). And we intend to add an evidence, a letter, stating this.

Book AirBnb or hotel close to your university (to pay on arrival) and attach the reservation as a supporting document. Explain in your letter that you have made accommodation arrangements.

For the large sum, they should explain this in the letter of introduction and add any proof of the sale/transaction.

Finally, as they are coming just for your graduation I recommend applying for a 6 months visa instead of 2 years as that might raise a red flag.

I paid for work visa since Thursday but have been unable to get an appointment for biometrics at Ikeja TLS even for assisted service. Does that mean there is no space except if I buy premium slots?

Can I switch to another TLS center? I really want to get this part out of the way.

What should I do?

To change to another TLS location you will have to cancel the current visa application and re-apply then select a different VAC location. This information is also available on TLS contact website.
You will be refunded any money you paid for the first application but it can take up to 2 weeks

You can only be redirected to the TLS contact from the Gov.uk website after you have submitted and paid for your visa application - no other way.
In terms of appointment availability, the last I checked Abuja didn’t have any availability but VI does, PH and Enugu (both new premium centres) do.

So I have some savings in PiggyVest and I was a thinking I’d move it to my salary account but then won’t they suspect foul play? Would I need to get a statement of account of my PiggyVest (that’s if it’s possible) to show that I’ve had the money there all along or can I just explain in my personal statement that I’ve had savings in my piggyvest account before I started my current job? I can fund the trip on my own but I wanted to avoid having to explain all these money movements that’s why I thought I’d use my uncles account and he’s actually the one sponsoring the trip.

You can obtain your statement of account from PiggyVest but you will still explain the source of monies that are not your salary.
Moving money from your piggyvest to your salary account isn’t advisable.

So I’m applying for a uk visit visa. A friend is inviting me so I have an invite and my uncle wants to sponsor me. I am employed and I’ve gotten a letter from my employer, I’d provide 6 months statement from my salary account which has almost 2m savings and I also have my payslips but my uncle’s account has so much money and that’s why I want to use it (plus he’s actually my sponsor). I just want to know if I am doing the right thing by having a different sponsor and a different person sending the invite…
Also, please I was told my sponsor has to draft a letter to justify why he’s sponsoring me and the relationship between us, can anyone please give me a sample.., what and what do we include in the letter?

I don’t know how old you are but you should be aware that they expect you to have your own money as an adult and they will judge your application from that point of view.
How much is your monthly salary? How much is your monthly expenses and why would you want to spend your 2m naira savings on a visit to the UK. All these questions are what they will be expecting you to answer.
Again, the important question is, can you afford this trip on your own based on your current circumstances?
As for any letter sample you need you can find them by a simple google search.

She is visiting my family in the UK because I had a baby recently, I’m the sponsor and I applied for her.

She retired from civil service 10 years ago and has been doing petty trade.
I added all evidence of her employment and retirement
I added family pictures (in MS word with descriptions)
Added letter of attestation from her husband
Added pictures of her in her shop
Added her bank statement
Added a letter of self-introduction
In addition to the above, I added a lot of Sponsor evidence to support her application.

Biometrics was done in the new PH centre and decision arrived in 6 working days.

Ur bank account is not clear. As an adult they are more comfortable when you the visiting adult would be able to pay for your trip.
Your sister’s circumstances as a medical Doctor will not be used to assess your application as it is your circumstance that matter. If you land the UK tomorrow they need to be able to guess that you won’t run away and this does not have anything to do with ur sister as if u abscond they can not hold her.
It looks like your bank account is not straight forward. I dnt advise that but u may be lucky to meet an ECO who does not look at ur account but wud look at ur sister’s own alone as she is d sponsor. The chances of this is very slim.
Even though u will not be sponsoring the trip, I would advise you have an account of someone that can comfortably sponsor your trip as this way the ECO would be more willing to fake chances on u than what u have written above. Few exceptions might be if you are quite young or quite old like the parents who they believe might not necessarily want to run away at that age.
Money moving to and fro the account is NO proof that the account is making profits at a certain level and that you would not recourse to public funds if the need arises.
What’s your age range if I may ask?

Be prepared to prove your ties to your home country Nigeria as it isn’t solely about the money especially given how young you are.
As a business owner, you will need to prove that your business is actually making profit by submitting your tax clearance cert.
You want to spend Christmas with your sister in the UK, how many weeks will your stay last? Who will manage your business in your absence?

Your sister can still sponsor the trip and provide you a letter of invitation where she will also explain why she is sponsoring you.

The why will need to be very convincing too.

I have a job which I earn monthly salary from an Employer and they are the one sponsoring my trip for the business conference and they stated the benefits of the conference to me and to them(Employer).

Secondly,I do side business and make a monthly savings to a Co-operative Organisation (Social Club)and collect the total money at the end of each year.

Thirdly,I receive a yearly rent from my Tenant.

All I was trying to Ask or Explain is that, can I have this additional funds added to my salary account with documentary proof of the source of funds.

Please am here to learn.

You can add either the contribution statement of account from the co-operative showing your savings so far or a bank statement showing the amount leave your bank each month.

If your tenant pays rent to a different bank account then please add the statement from that bank too and then write a cover letter to explain and give context.

Recently, I completed my sister-in-law’s visit visa application and she did some saving with a cooperative which was deducted from her salary each month so we explained this in the letter and added her payslip showing the deducted amount with the name of the cooperative. Her visa was granted

I submitted my salary account bank statement and my PiggyVest statement.

The POF is in the PiggyVest wallet account.

I explained in my cover letter all this and both statement shows how the funds move from my salary account to the PiggyVest account and vice versa.

This should be fine especially if all other aspects of your application is convincing enough to the ECO.

Did you submit your bank statements from your salary account? Does it have the POF or is that in the piggyvest account?

1. If I receive a large deposit of Above 1Million from a Social Club which is my savings with them at the end of the year been December 2023 and also receive money for Rent From a Tenant into my Salary Account.

Under normal circumstances, writing a concise but detailed cover letter to support your application explaining your finances and the funds should be able to pass your message across to the ECO.

But, I remember from previous chats here that your application seems a bit complicated and will require much more effort to submit a water tight application.
