After a minute, his consular now said "you're not qualified to enter the US". I'm kind of confused here. At first, I thought it was his deficit cause he has a deficit of around 20k but his bank statement had around 11m and it wasn't a business account. Please guys, is it his transcript or he just wasn't in luck. What do you think he should do 1 Like |

Hey guys, my Visa was approved this morning at the Lagos consulate. Here is my transcript VO:good morning Me:good morning VO: pass your i20 and passport Me: *hands it over* VO: do you have any relatives in the United States? Me: yes, my sister VO: where does she stay Me: I mentioned the name of the state VO: what does she do Me: she's a student VO: why did you choose to go to Mcneese Me: Mcneese state university has an abundance of school spirit including various campus activities to choose from I noticed she was shaking her head so I stopped talking VO: you haven't answered my question Me: the department of biology at Mcneese State University advances student knowledge through a wide range of opportunities to enter the work force or continue their education She was still shaking her head, so I started shaking VO: we know that, I need a specific reason I got really scared so I started blabbing along the lines of "it has the technological and reseach facilities that will aid my learning" She still continued to shake her head VO: all schools in the United States do that, I haven't heard your reason for picking this school Me: Mcneese gave me the highest scholarship which is why I chose to go there Then, she nodded VO: that is what I wanted to hear. So, who will be sponsoring your education Me: my mom VO: what does she do Me: she's an accountant that works with XYZ company VO: can I see her bank statement Me: sure This is where my heart was beating frantically because the money there wasn't up to the estimation of my fees but that was the best my mom could do VO: does she have other bank accounts Me: yes, she does Vo: she just smiled and said "come and pick your Visa in 3 days time" I was literally crying on the spot. I couldn't stop saying "thank you ma" because everyone who went before was denied but I didn't lose hope So, all in all, thank you guys. This thread has been nothing but helpful to me and I hope others will benefit from this thread 53 Likes 3 Shares |

Hi guys. I joined this thread recently and I've read a lot of people's transcripts so I made my proposed transcript. Please, your opinions will be of great use to me P.S: my interview is next week Wednesday Me: good morning VO: good morning VO: Pass your i20 and passport Me: *hands it over* VO: why do you want to go to the US Me: I want to go to the US for my bachelor's degree in Biological Science at Mcnesse State University VO: how many schools did you apply to? Me: five schools VO: and how many gave you admission? Me: all of them VO: Name them Me: Alcorn State University, Lincoln University, Mcneese State University, Minnesota State University, Mississipi Valley state university VO: how did you get to know about Mcneese? Me: with the use of educational resources, I conducted an online research on various schools that offer biological science as a bachelor's degree program and Mcneese state university was amongst the universities whose requirements matched my profile. VO: why do you want to study in the United States Me: it is acknowledged that getting a higher education and a degree in the United States is prominent and dignified so I see a foundation degree in the US as the best thing to do VO: why biology Me: I have always been captivated by the evolution and relation of living organisms. While in high school, I took biology classes because it was a vast subject based on natural science which increased my knowledge about the study of life and living organisms, generally. Thus, biology seems the most appropriate for my advancement into the health sector. VO: why did you decide to pick Mcneese over other schools Me: Mcneese State University is distinctive to me for various reasons. Firstly, it is located I'm the heart of its city, Louisiana which offers many cultural and diverse opportunities for students. Also, it has an abundance of school spirit, which includes various campus activities to choose from. One thing I like about Mcneese is, though they're known for having a large population of students, they have showed interest in everyone of them including their future students who have applied to the school VO: what are your study plans Me: introduction to biology, general chemistry and pre calculus algebra, along with my freshman year's courses VO: when did you finish your O'level Me: last year VO: I see you have a partial scholarship, who will be shouldering the remaining responsibilities Me: my mom VO: what does she do Me: She is an accountant who works with XYZ company VO: Pass me an evidence Me: *hands it over* Constructive criticism is allowed, please Any other possible questions that could be asked too, will be much appreciated. Thanks 2 Likes 1 Share |
