I am going through same situation. Where you able to get your divorce? I am in Texas and my guy is in Nigeria...

Is it possible to divorce someone in Festac Nigeria from the U.S.? His case was revoked and im ready to move on after 3 years of waiting. I am in Texas. We married and registered in Nigeria. In u.s. i am still considered single. The guy has agreed, but not willing to assist with the divorce process from his end (filing the divorce in nigeria). I think he is going to try again with a different American. And all my nigerian friends here wont really give advice. They feel like they are ruining his chances but im like come on, i am a person too, who is going to look out for me. The Nigerian/African community sticks together real good.

But if anyone can assist it will give me a general idea. i am trying to locate a lawyer and im not going to report the guy to embassy or anything like that. I hope i am divorcing in a way that will give him a chance for u.s. entry.
