Bro i ran back to Nigeria a year and half ago when it was 9cedi for a 1000 naira, i schooled in Zenith college Accra, am hoping to go back next year to start a music studio,i still pay house rent though
Lol...a guy from my neighbourhood in nigeria came to ghana with 150k early last year...the guy ran back to naija after 3 weeks.

I entered Ghana 2015 when 1k was 20 cedis and it gradually became 1k to 8 cedis but we tank God naira is slowly gaining some weight.

Bro please presently how much is a 1000 naira in cedis
1k naira is present 12 cedis at the airport....between 12.3 and 12.5 at circle(black market) while other means will pay you between 12.2 and 12.3.

I don't know about the border cos i don't ply the route.

300k? the driver don hammer ooo.
Bros, i only paid the driver his 60k when i got to my house in accra so the entire 300k wasnt his, all the document, fuel and uncountable road settlement is all included in the 300k.

Like i said earlier, naira was at his lowest then which was why the price was high, i asked a GUO driver to help em bring another car from Nigeria about 5 weeks ago and he was saying 250k will get it delivered to Ghana.
AutosRe: Procedures To Drive In A Nigeria Registered Car To Ghana Through The Border by shysteve(m): 5:36pm On Jun 02, 2018
I took my car to Ghana, Jan 2017 and I spent a little below 300k naira......the driver charged me 60k for driving to Ghana and coming back to Nigeria so the remaining is for documentation.......I was beside him in the car all the way and I witnessed everything and every payment made at each border and stops.

Expect to pay a lot along the road starting from seme border all the way to your final destination in ghana, though I spent that much cos naira was super useless then but am sure it won't be up to that now that naira is slowly gaining ground to cfa and cedis.

If it is already water damaged sorry there's nothing u can do about it. Water can damage both the motherboard snd the touchscreen. If its only the touchscreen u have no other choice than change it. The only time rice and silica gel work is when it just happened, that's before the water an damage the screen or motherboard. If the water stayed too long inside the phone then its probably too late.
That means say i don enter one chance be that, please do you think the 90k the guy is charging me for the screen is okay?(wanna know if am not being ripped off since am not around)
PhonesRe: What Do You Do When Your Phone With A Non Removable Battery Falls Into Water?? by shysteve(m): 5:52pm On Oct 28, 2016
just what i need right.....please i need urgent response, my wife called me 4 days ago that my son dropped her phone (Samsung galaxy S6 Edge+) inside water and the screen has gone black....i called an engineer friend of mine to check it out and he told me the screen needs changing and was told the screen is 90k( for this recession?)....i visited a samsung store here in Accra and was told 1,030GHC (that is about 100k+ in naira), checked some online stores in yankee and was seeing prices like $200 & $260.

Please is there anything i can do that can bring the phone back to life and not spend up to that 90k?

Please house i need help on how to transport my car from Lagos to Accra, i have discussed with 3 different people and i got different information from there so i will like someone who knows about it to please come to my aid on this issue.

I need to know what it will cost to bring my car to Ghana for use here as well as documentations,i cant drive long distance so the question of driving it myself is out of it but i dont mind paying a professional driver to help me do it.

Accommodation thing is putting me off as some people said I won't get a room self contain anywhere in Abidjan less than 25k in naira per month. I asked what about the one of 10k in naira per month, they said no way that I am not yet ready to live in Abidjan.
I actually stayed in Yopougon 3 weeks ago but i visited Koumassi where some igbo people stay and i made some enquiries...a single room self contain my friend stays is 40k cfa (about 25k naira) a month but it has no kitchen(just the room,toilet/bath)........the ones with kitchen cost 50k-70k cfa a month and due to the naira crash, that is about 30k naira or so a month.

I am relieved now. So I can get a room of 3k cefa in the places you just mentioned? How many months initial deposit? 50k naira is equivalent to how much in cefa? If someone that is earning such amount monthly with a wife and two little kids, can he survive on that? I mean surviving on it until he gets something doing like business.
Bros where you see 3k cefa room?

I am sorry I am gonna be all up in your business @shysteve
....I get it that you may be a movie addict, but I beg you in the name of all that is good and cool,
..when you travel.....explore....explore....explore....the streets, villages (look for a wedding) ...make friends with the average person you meet
Do not hole up watching movies...that is not living, that is not travelling

Maybe after living the average life of the city you are in, you can watch a movie (if you must lipsrsealed) at night
Actaully having a few drinks with locals during your stay is a laudable idea. Better than cinemas IMO

I actually wish I could persuade you to see this, or even forcebeat you to agree with me cheesy lipsrsealed
True
Why travel if you wanna get lost in the movie world? Hm! Travel makes you live in the places you visit. Please do not miss out on living darling
Cheers
Tanks for the input....funny enough I didn't even step into any cinema while I was there....yes I visited places like Marcory, koumassi, adjame, trechville and I stayed in an hotel in yopougon through my stay.

I walked around a lot and I must say its so much fun, beautiful, friendly and very very lively especially in yopougon as there is always something to keep you fun filled in the region.

I had to come back to Accra last night due to some unexpected business matters.

A Nigerian guy I met on facebook who resides in Abidjan said the cheapest price I will get a room self contain anywhere in Abidjan is 50,000 to 70,000cefa. The thing is discouraging me.
Bros i said it earlier in one of my post that Abidjan is not as cheap as people think......i went to Igbo community in Kuomassi and Yoruba community in Adjame and i made some enquries from both sides and i must say the story is not what people think at all.

The igbo guy i went to his house in Koumassi stays in a single room with toilet and bath without kitchen and hes's paying 40k cefa per month so when i asked him about the ones with kitchen, he said those ones are with the range 50k-70k cefa month.

I laughed when I read your took a taxi from Adjacent to Marcory. Next time use a sotra bus ( before you board, ask for the right one as they have route numbers) or enter cinq cents carte, pronounced "ceng sir cart".
Never use taxi with running meter as a JJC , if you must use taxi,do what we call " arrangemen" whereby you tell the taxi driver where u are going , ask him to switch off his meter and bargain on price.

There's this cheap local hotel on avenue vinght un ie avenue 21 treich and also one at France Amerique. Find your way to quarter appollo and ask around. Quarter appollo is close to trenchville grande marche
Ask for the right one when they don't understand anyword you saying...even if the yoruba people there help in getting the bus...how about when I wanna alight at my destination, payment etc.....I decided to save myself the stress of acting deaf and dumb using signs by taking taxi.

There won't be any need for the hotel anymore cos I was at trechville this morning to get my ticket and discovered the departure time is 9am(that means I have enough time to leave my hotel in yopougon in the morning)

No, Abidjan is not a strange land. The Language is not everything.. you are just being afraid. .. Go to Cocody.. large international community expats live there . (americans, English men, brazilians, mexicans and other Europeans live there) tgey speak English. . like wise Zone 4 area at marcory pkenty foreigners.. Engkish schools, English hotels, english environment.

However go to adjame or same Marcory and speak pidgin. . you will definitely find many Igbo people of Nigeria over there.. or simply go to koumassi and tell the taxi man you are going to "QUATIER IGBO" or "QUATIER IGBOLAI" .Igbo men are all over around they own shoe shops and clothings..

Moreover, Adjame is for the Yorubas..just ask for 'SAINT MICHELLE AT ADJAME " you will find thousands of yoruba people. . or find my yoruba family at Treichville ask for "habitat '.. Language plenty here baje. not only french.

SO LANGUAGE IS NOT A PROBLEM! !
Bro I followed your direction and was able to locate Saint Michelle....wow this is strictly Yoruba community o.

Make I enjoy my food first then will update more as I proceed on my tour.
