The Federal University of Technology has directed its staffs to resume duty..The Special release which was pasted today and reads as follows: "in line with the directive of the federal government that all Federal Universities where the academic staff union of universities is on strike should re- open for academic and allied activities and its further directives that: 1. Vice chancellors
should open
resumption
registers for
academic staff
willing to resume work to sign. 2. Academic staff
that fails to
resume work on or
before 4th
December, 2013
should be issued a query to explain
within 48 hours
why disciplinary
action should not
be taken against
him/her; and 3. Academic staff
that fails to
respond
satisfactorily to
the query as
directed shall cease to be a staff
of the institution. In compliance with the directives, the office of the registrar has issued a notification
requesting members of the academic staff of Federal University of Technology, Akure to resume work on or before 4th December, 2013 and sign the resumption register in the office of their Heads of Departments. Signed,
