dmz: I too found it difficult to get into Breaking Bad after the first few episodes but glad I stuck to it. It was worth the ride, not epic as the hype would have you believe in my opinion but definitely watchable.
True Detective is the most interesting I have seen since the first season of GOT. Watching Fargo and The Americans now... Oh no you Di'n... Dude you need to go back and re-watch breaking bad, from the Pilot. Breaking bad is like the best show ever... IMO, it's the best show I've ever seen on the TV(well basically on a laptop, lol) |

Nairaland General › Re: An Open Letter To Mr Seun And Crew Members by SilentCrescendo: 9:25am On Sep 29, 2013 |
chigodo: I've been following this thread from the beginning and its time to speak my mind. First I recognise you mazi Omenuko,a man that made me enjoy nairaland for the first time in the literature section and I know many of you knows him,Mazi, ekeneem gi!
Now back to the topic,I must say at this juncture that the way some moderators in this forum are behaving is rather unfortunate. I wonder if they ever care about the future of this forum and Seun's approach to this all important issue amuses me even the more,I wonder if they know that we the members are the reason nairaland is booming and if we mean nothing to Seun and his moderators,to the extent that some moderators are calling members rats, ranting children etc, this is a faceless forum, you don't know who is who, hmmm I'm afraid.....THERE WAS A FORUM!! Your comment is so on point man... The Mods shoulda known by now that the members of nairaland made it what it is... Without the members, there'd be no need for nairaland and some Mods are on here calling people names... Though I don't think the "7 days ultimatum" thingy is the best approach. Ok, I'm out. |

Culture › Re: Controversial Rituals Still Practiced Today by SilentCrescendo: 2:44pm On Jul 29, 2013 |
xynerise: Female Genital Mutilation (Africa) The practice involves cutting a girl's vagina to create a seal that narrows the opening, making it just wide enough to allow the passing of urine and menstrual blood. Infibulated girls often have their legs bound together for up to four weeks to allow the freshly fused tissue to heal.
In most cases cutting is done by a traditional practitioner without any anesthesia and little care for hygiene. Razors, knives, or scissors are used and they are rarely sterilized. The surgery takes place wherever it is convenient, from out in the open to a bathroom floor. xynerise: Female Genital Mutilation (Africa) The practice involves cutting a girl's vagina to create a seal that narrows the opening, making it just wide enough to allow the passing of urine and menstrual blood. People mourn the fact that they were not present at the battle to fight and save Husayn and his family by spilling their own blood and that of their children. Shi'a Muslims commonly believe that taking part in Ashura absolves them of sin. megareal: I hate it. Lovers are suposed to create time away from each other. Dating a neighbour is like living with a sibling. No privacy, no mystery, no allure. Worse still when its time to break up, it becomes the third world war. Its not ideal. But whatever rocks your boat bro.... 5 points to you!..... You summed it up |
