It is easy to come here and say there is nothing wrong with the formation, but at the end of the day, 3 pts is all that counts and that is what we got yesterday...

I have defended Amorim on this board for quite some time, but he doesn't seem to learn. Against the top teams, when we play with 3 CBs, we look very dangerous because we sit deep (Community defending) and hit them on the break...Against weaker teams who will rather park the bus, the whole essence of parading 3 CBs is defeated because for the most part of the game, they are left with little to do. If they're not contributing to our forward play, it will make more sense to replace a CB with a CF and let us have a Bruno - Casemiro - Mount/Mainoo/Zirkzee midfield supporting the attack...

At several instances yesterday, Shaw, De Ligt and Yoro had just one CF to contend with, but the 3 of them spent most of the game camped in our half instead of pushing high up the pitch to join the play or press the Burnley midfielders...
How do you expect your CB to join attack . If those small teams hit on counter, sope otilor with the way Una dey quick lose possession ..

The best your CB's would would do is move higher up the pitch maybe into the opposition half so when a loose ball comes , they can keep it in control and continue the attack except maybe when are being pressed with enormous pressure they can then find a way to make a back pass to keeper to relieve pressure.. but meanwhile they have to cover all sides of the pitch so the opps don't spring a diagonal long ball to a winger who makes the run for it. ... All in All, against low block teams, amorim should play a highline but they should be disciplined about sensing a break form the opps and neutralizing counter attack..

To me 3 atb is better for a highline team than 4atb cause those four usually end up being two one the fullback has overlapped .

the challenge is defensively, Dorgu can easily track back.

Our midfielders, maybe Mainoo but he's slow, are not ball-carriers, don't have the legs and thus make quick and long passes
You need one with an attack sense in the left wing .. Did you see all dalot's crosses today, it went pass his marker , I don't think dorgu crosses usually pass his marker .. if you need to improve your attack use dalot, maybe convert dorgu to CB in place of shaw ..

As for the midfield, they tend to lose the ball often for a midfield of two and the players give passes to players whom are mostly vunder pressure hence the frequent possession loss .. una suppose dey find player with less pressure or hold the ball a tad bit longer till the player gets in a position in which the pressure is reduced or give a long pass ..

Amorim should be seeing bin this and working on it.

More bodies in the box is the cause of it to me.

If you notice, Una no dey pass three or two for opposition box 18 .. so all those crossing no go work..

Looks like a hamstring injury.

He would most likely miss the city game.

Bruno might need to be deployed as a #10, meaning that Maino might be an automatic starter.
Unpopular facts.. Deploying is a no brainer .

That betters your attack and he's got eye for goal. He should be amongst your attackinh players somehow.
.. Atleast, if no body score, Bruno must score ...

Playing him deep is a mistake to me...
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Silentgroper(m): 5:19pm On Aug 30, 2025
Is dorgu injured or Ruben amorim left him out ...

To me, amorim still hasn't gotten that attack ..

Mbeumo and Amad needs to have an understanding on that right .. Amad needs to tkrun into channels into box 18 to receive the ball there. A scenario played out where he was just standing and mbeumo was holding the ball likely expecting to make that run to make that pass but amad just stood in which it ended the attack until mazraoui made a run in the box ...

Now what did I say about dorgu. Your attack is blunt on LS cause dorgu isn't attack oriented.. If it was dorgu in the position where dalot was, he wouldn't have made the cross the way dalot did . ..

I reckon dalot plays the left wingback from now on ..

Amorim can work for man.u .. but he still needs to sort out the team.

Another thing is Una to dey lose possession and I understand it's in a bid to make quick transitions but una suppose dey calm once once ..

Another weird thing, the players have a back for giving players passes even they have load of opps player pressing their life .. I've been noticing that in all of your matches which I think is the reason why you lose possession easily .. .. lastly, I think with bayindir in the match against Grimsby you guys would have one .. He looks like he's improving and getting good ..

Make Una just chill with amorim, he will eventually get it ..
