PoliticsRe: FG Gives Conditions To Pay N2.2tn Contractors’ Debts by SillyMods: 7:57am On Dec 11, 2016
I'll love to read robust arguments and counter-arguments on this thread instead of the usual childish tantrums thrown around by kids on this forum. More often than not, you get childish comments completely out of point on many threads that should serve as opportunity to discuss intelligently.

Let's hope kids here listen and behave well for once.

@ Topic, Kemi Adeosun is proving to be well-versed in managing an economy especially out of recession.

Her proposal here has a long-term effect of checkmating fraud and guaranteeing govt contractors of getting paid as and when due.

The other plus is the offer of tax relief for companies:

She said the revision would now allow collective tax relief such that companies would be able to jointly fund roads, subject to approval by Federal Inland Revenue Service and the Ministry of Works, and share the tax credit.
And we shouldn't forget the debt we're talking about here was left behind by the IB and Madam Gele.
PoliticsRe: Rivers Election, How Could KELGA Have More Voters Than PHALGA? by SillyMods: 7:51am On Dec 11, 2016
littlewonders:
Even without rigging PDP owns Rivers State. Majority of Rivers resident hates APC, but if PDP should relax and do nothing APC will use that advantage in rigging a successful election.

I use to tell my friends we don't conduct elections in Nigeria what we do is who can assess rigging more.

The party with the highest rigging might always wins election in Nigeria, that is why am still surprise on the outcome of 2015 election when GEJ gave up(something we don't get to see in my country).

As for me, its been long I made moves to vote for any candidate cos at the end your vote don't determine, what determines is the power of rigging so why do I disturb myself to vote.

Politics ehn
To a very large extent, votes count nowadays more than ever. Thanks largely to Prof. Jega.

Left for PDP, they'd prefer the old ways of writing results in their living rooms and still boasting of defeating in court if you choose to challenge the election.
PoliticsRe: Buhari's Scorecard by SillyMods:
ShowYourCertificate:
Fellow nairalanders, the year is almost over and Buhari, the certificateless president, has ruled the country for over one and a half years. Has he performed? Is there hope? Or is he a total failure?

Please comment.
PMB has surely scored better than the IB we kicked out for woeful failure after 5.5 years.

Remember he has only spent 1.5 years of four years.

PMB has my support for 2019. If una no like, Benin Republic is visa-free.

PMB's Score Card
1. Boko Haram Insurgency - B4

2. Fight against Corruption - A3

3. Free, Fair and Credible Election - B4 (Don't bring in Rivers do-or-die election int it. It's their determination to kill one another there)

4. Boosting Self-Reliance in Agriculture locally - C5

5. General Economy - D7

Mind you, he still has well over two years in his mandate.

Na una go taya I swear grin grin grin

PoliticsRe: PDP Crisis: Sheriff, Makarfi Urged To Step Aside by SillyMods: 6:23am On Dec 11, 2016
PDP House of commotion.

The binding factor (looting of our treasury) that binds them together is no longer available for their sharing, hence the unending fighting.

Let PDP fight to finish and self-destruction. Na God dey answer our prayer.

A party that ruled for sixteen years without any tangible thing to show for it doesn't deserve to be pitied by sensible Nigerians.

Those are generally children of hate, anger and frustration.

Some of them even expect APC not to participate in the election. You hear them say something like "what does APC want in Rivers?"

Brain damaged people everywhere.

Be ashamed of yourself. Buhari and IG will not provide a police officer per a voter just because of an election in Rivers.
Some of you no get common sense to reason at all.

APC and Buhari taking Nigeria back to the dark days of OBJ's INEC. During GEJ the most populated and accepted candidates win elections but today the unpopular and rejected ones win election. God will judge APC.
Shut up already.

It's the hooliganism, thuggery and cultism which is inbuilt in many indigenes of Rivers especially and the SS axis in general that's responsible.

Was Buhari the president when many were killed in same Rivers in March 2015?
Was Prof Mahmud the INEC chairman then too?

Many of you kids lack common sense to reason.

If some people are determined to kill and maim their opponents all because of election, there is NOTHING Buhari or INEC can do to prevent it.

There were elections in Edo and Ondo and no violence was reported.

If this is true,I've lost confidence in the leadership of president Buhari and APC.
APC is a scam. With this ugly trend in our democratic journey,it'll be difficult to vote out Buhari. APC is on a mission to turn this country to one party state. They introduced 'vote and cook soup' or 'dibo ki o se obe' in Ondo State, maybe that method couldn't work in River state, they now deployed intimidation method.
I guess Buhari was president in March 2015 general election when many people were killed in same Rivers state.

Common sense has departed many of you long ago.

Objectivity is not a common trait in your blood,if not you would have told me of anywhere there has been a cancellation and rerun in any southwest or northern state since buhari took power.
If you arent daft or blinded by bigotry you would have noticed that all the elections in the north and south west always saw a straight victory for apc while south east and south south will see continue rerun until apc wins.
Shut up! Elections in SW are no longer a do or die affair. We have crossed that level since 2003.

It's you in the SS/SE that want to kill and maim one another because of some politicians who don't even care about your existence.

Chief Whip of the Rivers State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Evans Bipi has just confirmed that Ogu/Bolo is calm and peaceful and elections are going on well.

He confirms the snatching of election materials from Ward 9, Unit 3 of Bolo. The election have been cancelled in that unit and security agents have escorted INEC officers out of the area.
The same INEC you accused of complicity is the one that has cancelled election there, right?

I have since noticed something. Most of the people supporting apc to win in the south east and south south are not actually from the region but are mostly kids from the south west who have suffered under apc and just feel that these two zones should not be excluded from the sufferings apc has unleashed on them
And those supporting PDP to win in SW and North are IPODian toddlers from SE and SS?

Common sense is a rarity nowadays imdeed.

So when the next president comes,he will develop his own app too?

What happened to the so called buharimeter that was lauched with much funfare?
Buharimeter was not launched by the govt.

Btw, how does this App affect any of those opposing it?

A govt is choosing to educate citizens of its work, not that everyone has to download the App if they don't choose to, and we have many people developing migraine over it!

The main reason is for image laundering since his government hasn't achieved any tangible thing.
Success recorded in fighting Boko Haram is tangible.
N-Power recruitment is tangible.
Fighting corruption is massively tangible.
Recruitment into the Nigerian Police Force is tangible.
Diversification being recorded in the economy with a huge boost in rice production is tangible.

There are many tangible achievements already even to the blind.

For defeating Book Haram and fighting corruption, PMB has my support for 2019 already.

they never accept responsibility, every govt always did or is doing the right thing, how come Nigeria is this bad, how come we are on a free fall? Especially with this govt, or is it a case of becoming very bad before it starts getting better? But you see, that's the thing about governance, economy, rule of law and the likes, if you don't halt the decay, it never gets better.

Buhari a problem solver? You think it's a title or talent? What's his record? 1983, what did he achieve? OK fine he spent just 2 years, but from 85 to this 2015, that's a whopping 30 years, what significant thing did he do? Give me a break bro! Problem solver indeed!
It's very easy to forget that about two years ago, Boko Haram terrorists were holding swathes of territories and sacking military formations in the NE, striking in Abuja and threatening to establish operations in Lagos. Today, Boko Haram is on the verge of complete annihilation.

It's easy to forget that by the time PMB was sworn in as president, the FG of GEJ was borrowing to pay salaries of its workers (March and May 2015?) and 27 of 36 states were unable to pay between 5 and 10 months salaries. It was PMB in July 2015 (barely two months as president) who asked the CBN to provide bailout spread over twenty years. If PMB hadn't come, what could have happened to Nigeria is better imagined.

All the corrupt practices being dealt with now were part and parcel of our daily living.

It's ridiculous for anyone grounded in the science and art of governance to want to term a govt of 1.5 years a failure despite the level of decay/problems such govt inherited.

No problems, at the appropriate time, we shall answer you in the right manner.

PMB is a problem solver.

Whether disguised or sarcastically delivered, the fact remains that Buhari is not the architect of our problems. He's rather a problem solver who is working hard to re-orientate our battered psyche.

And if you like pray till tomorrow. I can't fault anyone who believes in prayer as solution to their challenges. Na una sabi.
