Recall that the former Obaro of Kabb Folorunsho Olobayo died 2yrs a ancestors after a protracted illness. He was and spent 30 years seven months on the throne.
Oba Olobayo, a highly educated man and a profound charismatic leader ascended th forefathers in October 17, 1985.
His reign witnessed tremendous developments as th ancient town of Kabba went through various p and aesthetic transformations.

The senator inaugurated the two blocks of four classrooms be built at LGEA Primary School, Tawari, and LGEA primary School, Manyare, the 10- kilometre Manyare-Gegu Beki road and the 15-kilometre Orehi – Irovomi road, all in Kogi Local Government.

Melaye, who also inaugurated a borehole he built at Felele area of Lokoja, said other projects to be inaugurated in the next few days include classroom blocks , rural roads, boreholes, skills acquisition centres as well as rural electrification schemes.

Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Prince Matthew Kolawole has condemned in strong term the burning down of public infrastructures that is constructed with public fund.

He said on no account should anyone destroy any constituency project facilitated by any of our representatives at both the state and national.
He noted that, it is the height of irresponsibility for anyone to embark on the callous vandalization of projects facilitated by Senator Dino Melaye in Lokoja the state capital.

The Speaker said it is barbaric for any right thinking fellow to deliberately burn down facilities meant for students to have a conducive learning environment.
He stressed that such hoodlums should be tracked down by security operatives and be made to face the full wrath of the law.

According to him, the four constituency projects vandalized and touched in attempts to raze at Government Girls’ secondary school, Sarkin Noma; Lokongoma Secondary School, Phase 1, and Adankolo Secondary school; all in Lokoja are attacks on the education sector of the state.
He said as a legislator, it will be painful to see projects facilitated through his office for the people being destroyed by some bad elements in the society.

He said Constituency projects are the means through which legislators, state or federal directly impact on the constituents and such projects put in place to serve the people should be protected.

Kolawole said the vandalization of the yet to be commissioned projects initiated by senator Dino Melaye, by suspected hoodlums is shameful, condemnable and regrettable in all ramifications.

He called on the security agencies to live up to their responsibilities by providing adequate protection for citizens, their properties and infrastructures.
He called on the youths who indulge in such nefarious activities or allowed themselves to be used for such abominable activities to desist as the 6th Assembly under his watch would continue to collaborate with the Executive and other relevant agencies to checkmate every retrogressive act in the state.

Yea, I’ve heard it, I like it and I’m in support of the not too young to run advocacy and eventual consent.
Perhaps it’s something to celebrate and could be worth celebrating if and only if we have that young person with the real capacity to rule a nation like Nigeria effectively.
Painful is our realities today as a nation, frustrating, daunting, scary and even almost hopeless, hence it’s only natural for people to look forward to a better tomorrow concluding the situation today is exclusively the fault of today’s leaders, not forgetting the same was assumed of the previous administration and even the ones before that.
So I ask this question, we want to desperately get rid of the old leaders who’s been in power like forever but to be effectively replaced by who?
I believe Nigerians have gone through too much pain and hurt to try to buy again into the sentiments of just getting rid of the old without carefully choosing the new.
A young president sounds cool and appealing but where is that young candidate that can truly fix things in this very complex, divided, corrupt, weak, treacherous, insecure and bloodletting nation with loveless people who do not sincerely care about the well-being of others as long as they as individuals are okay?
I’ve observed, listened and paid close attention to the younger candidates with the intention to run for president come 2019 and all I hear and keep hearing them spew are the problems, challenges, history, deplorable socioeconomic situation, our painful and shameful realities and who is to blame.
Hardly have I heard any, with smart, realistic answers and solution on how to solve and tackle these numerous and enormous problems successfully.
We need that candidate who will share with Nigerians convincing methods on how to revive and secure the worth of the Naira in record time. We need that young candidate with superior answers on how to resolve our internal security crisis and terrorism challenges in better ways than it’s currently being handled. We want to hear that candidate explain how he or she would build bridges and reconcile the gully of ethnic, religious and tribal intolerance and hate. We want to hear how our power supply problems would be successfully resolved once and for all. We need a compelling vision, something to trust, believe and be convinced about for any aspirant to deserve our vote in the next election.
Personality, credibility, even experience is not enough, we need to hear how the candidate will help us as a nation!

As an aspirant, do you have what it takes to work with people who are very qualified, can solve these problems but are greedy, materialistic, tribalistic, insensitive and disloyal? Qualification is not commitment you know, how do you select or appoint a team of performers who truly love Nigerian and care about the people and can sincerely tame their greed and power privileges without faking it?
People can appear to be with you and swear they are loyal but can you trust them and their true intentions when you leave the room? Being a good leader does not guarantee success if you have bad followers, That’s why even God, great as He is hasn’t gotten all humans obeying him and following His command based on mankind’s free will to choose. God is not a bad leader, but humans are bad followers! How do you work with a team that doesn’t share your passion, sincerity, and vision?
This simply means, your capacity to lead requires knowledge on what to do, not just depending on a team of experts without character or loyalty to work with you.
As a business owner myself, I know how hard it is to lead as small enterprise of about 50 employees, how much more leading a nation of 198 million people who are mostly paranoid, ignorant and distrusting.
Where can we listen to that convincing manifesto on a superior approach to our economic recovery? What would this next, perhaps young president do about the corruption in the land that has become quite systematic endemic and normal? What are the plans and answers for our deplorable system of education, healthcare, culture, value systems and security? What’s the urgent response to this rife poverty and massive unemployment?
I know strength is the reserve of the youth, but it takes more than physical agility to rule a nation of 198 million different people with different levels of expectations, mind-sets, nature, nurture, experiences, morals and priorities.
Dear Nigeria youth, I feel this pain, I feel the shame, and I struggle daily to keep on keeping on so I beg you my brothers and my sisters let us build our brains!
You don’t bring about positive transformation by tearing down the old no, you bring about positive transformation by building a superior, attractive and compelling new, then people with automatically abandon the old and migrate to the exciting new.
Dear Nigerian youth we need this transition I promise you, we need power to transit in generation, but it won’t happen through criticism, condemnation, curses, disrespect, religiosity, hate speeches and blame game, it will only happen by building superior civil structures, political structures, high intelligence and futuristic thinking.
These do not come by through muscles, it comes through hard mental work, intellectual prowess, and cognitive superiority. It’s not just about eloquence, packaging, enough funding, charisma and saying the things people want to hear, it’s about real answers!
Fellow Nigerian youth I pray and look forward to that day when the old in leadership will yield power, not just for a new but a younger, stronger and superior new.
To have a superior new, we need a superior you, dear Nigerian youth. You need a revolution of your mind. It’s time to read the right things, it’s time to study hard, it’s time to expose your mind, social media is not the only thing present or available via the internet, great books, reviews, case studies and how young people are taking over all over the world these days are also on the internet as examples to you. It’s a better way to use up your data I assure you.
We can’t keep escaping into entertainment and sports, we need to rise up, confront and solve our problems then our entertainment life and even sports will make sense and make us happier and proud.
The old has to go, but a better new, not just a new, is what will bring real solutions, happiness, prosperity and true progress.

Please help the people of Osun, Oyo, Ekiti, and Ondo beg Buhari or federal government to consider us in the area of federal government project execution and appointments. Four year term is about to complete yet no project is being done especially in Osun state even the federal secretariat that was started long ago in Osogbo had been stopped due to unknown reasons. The only regions that feel the presence of federal government in terms of road infrastructure and other meaningful projects are the whole of northern region and some parts of SS and SE. Is Osun state not part of Nigeria? The level of marginalization of Osun state in allocating federal projects is so alarming that you can't point to a particular project that is being handled by federal government and Yoruba is clamoring for true federalism you say no, tell us a good reason we should stop the agitation with this style of government that's only favorable to the North. You take the resources from us and use it to develop Northern region alone, this is not fair. Thank God for the governor we have in Osun. He has really tried his best in the area of projects execution. And Fasola is there as minister going up and down pleasing the North you should remember you are coming back home when the government is no more so that you won't end up regretting you had the opportunity to develop your region like Obasonjo.
Please come to our aid in Osun state if only for the road that link Ekiti, Osun, and Oyo together we will also feel the presence of federal government. Remember your change revolution started in Osun state and we helped you when you needed us.

Our warm greetings and good day to Mr President.
As we approach the 2019 general elections, the Student body under the umbrella of NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF OKUN STUDENTS (NAOS) wish to score your administration and raise our dissatisfaction since you assumed the highest office in Nigeria.

Okun is a tribe in Kogi State and specifically the Yoruba speaking section of the state. The Okuns occupies Kogi West Senatorial District.

Before the inception of your administration, our hopes were high, we believed you will come and turn things around, we had the believe in the 'change' you promised. We voted massively and ensured your emergence in every other parts of Kogi land. We gave the largest bulk of votes to ensure your victory in Kogi State .

Mr. President, looking critically at your stewardship in the last 36 months of your administration nothing has been encouraging and the good people of Kogi West are yet to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

Your administration till now has nothing to show in Kogi West as a show of appreciation with any federal project. The people now begin to wonder if this is the kind of 'change' they yearned and clamoured for.

Sir, it is highly embarrassing that we the youths that championed your struggle then now have to hide our faces in shame because your administration has not made us confident to defend what we clamoured for. The decayed infrastructures in Kogi State remained in a state of comatose, the Federal Roads are getting worse especially the Kabba--Ilorin road, nothing meaningful to show for the infrastructures.

Let me also call your attention to Okene/ Lokoja/ Abuja road. This is the only road that links the Southern part of Nigeria to the North. The road has served as death trap to road users as fatal accidents are being recorded daily on that route.

You are also not unaware of the recent killings and maiming of our people by the Fulani herdsmen in our land. It is sad to note that nothing has been done to stop this evil reoccurrence. Its like you felt so unconcerned about the killings and seems comfortable as those that voted you in are beginning to loose confidence in your leadership.

Mr President, the upgrading of A.B.U College Of Agriculture Kabba to a full University sponsored by Senator Dino Melaye still waiting for your assent by the good people of Okunland and this will go a long way in our heart.

Board Chairmanship and many Director Of Agencies offices are still vacant and we hope you consider us with those appointments that belongs to us in due time.
It's not too late to do something to curb the menace of this Fulani herdsmen.

Its not late to fix these infrastructures in this remaining days to 2019 elections.
Mr. President, its your choice to redeem your image and give yourself a new name. We in Kogi West have decided to judge your administration through our votes at the polls. And if we are to judge right now, the voters' card will be against you.

Do something about these issues raised or don't expect bulk of votes as you got in 2015, in fact we advice you don't contest at all.

Our strength lies in our votes. Do something to effect a positive 'change' before its too late.

Dino’s recall has actually failed.
They need 51% to verify and also during referendum, they need 51% of registered voters to succeed.
So it has failed.
We must start the recall process of the House of Assembly members that took part in Dino’s recall.
All assembly members that refused to check @GovernorBello must be recalled.

Voters in Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in Kogi have shunned the ongoing verification exercise organised by INEC to authenticate the signatures of voters seeking to recall Sen. Dino Melaye ( APC/Kogi West ).

Correspondents of the newsmen, monitoring the exercise in Melaye’s Kogi West Senatorial District, observed that the polling units were empty, with many people claiming that they were not aware of it.
At some areas, youths protested against the move to recall the senator who they described as “an excellent representative”.

An NYSC member, Miss Opemipo Solomon, the INEC officer at Akafe Lane polling unit, said that no one had shown up since they arrived the voting venue at 6.45 a.m.
“No one has come to sign the recall papers; what we have had so far are threats from people asking us leave this place.
“The people do not appear interested in what we are doing. Some youths have come to warn us against staying here,” she said.

Another corps member, David Adah, INEC presiding officer at the Odo Akete polling unit also in kabba, said that many youths were angry over the recall process.
“So many youths from the community are angry; they have alleged that their signatures were forged to endorse the recall process.

“Most of the youths, who saw their names among those that signed for the recall of Melaye, have disowned the signatures and insisted that they are happy with the Senator,” he said.

At the embattled senator’s polling unit in Ayetoro Gbede, a traditional ruler, Chief Ojo Adekunle, who led some youths to protest against the recall process, said that they were not aware of Melaye’s offence.

“Melaye has done so well and we are happy with him; we have no reason to want to recall him,” he said.

Adekunle told the newsmen that Melaye was the best Senator Kogi West had ever produced, and urged his people not to betray their representative at this trying period.

Mrs. Vicoria Ajewole, APC Woman Leader in Kabba Local Government, expressed surprise at the recall process, and declared that “it won”t work”.
“Melaye is our son; there is no way anyone can recall him,” she said.

At the central area of Kabba town, youths were seen chanting songs in praise of Sen. Dino Melaye. They vowed to resist attempt to disgrace him.
Efforts to speak with INEC officials at the commission’s office in Kabba proved abortive as they refused to comment on the exercise
Stern-looking Policemen keeping vigil at the polling points also refused to comment on the exercise.
