Hi Nairalanders!

I have an urgent need to send a document to an office in Dubai, within two days from now. Is there anyone in the house traveling to Dubai who is willing to help me do hand delivery to the office in Deira - Dubai?

I'll appreciate any honest advice.

Thanks all.

Satellite TV TechnologyDstv Installation Info Needed by simpletron(op): 11:57am On Apr 07, 2010
Hi all,

I urgently need to re-install my DSTV settings so that I can start viewing the channels again. I moved the location of the dish due to a maintenance and I have since found it hard to have it recoupled. Does anyone have the configuration for the installation?

Thanks.

ProgrammingRe: ATM Machines Should Be Programmed To Speak In Pidgin English by simpletron: 9:53pm On Aug 15, 2009
I feel you have raised a thread that is good enough to support a researcher that is working on the usability aspect of ATMs which is a fall out of the Human Computer Interactions (HCI) module of Information Technology. However, bringing up a topic as this in the money section of our endeared 9raland forum may be seen as placing a square peg in a round hole. Why don't you pring it up in the programming section an see what phenomenal response it will attract.

Trust me.

@Atilla: why dont u open a stock broking acccount then ask your broker to advice you. Stockbrokers have analysts and researchers that can do that for you based on your investment objective and the information you give them. That will be better.
Thanks atilla for your response. I am sure that it was meant to point me to the take-off point. But how can I be talking about investing for short term if I do not have a Stockbroker? To be honest, the so called brokers are my headache! They advice you based on their needs, or perhaps on their quest for profit taking. They tell you what to buy and while you are 'yet alive' the price of the expected bullish stock will nose dive ridiculously leaving you with no option! I have lost over 7m due to this in the last 2 years. Just a couple of weeks ago, UBA was selling @ a low price of less than N11 (so were other banking stocks) and I ordered a buy with N2m. Unbelieveably, two distinct stockbrokers bought UBA for me when it became almost  N14. Look @ the price of UBA today (I am not panicking though). I am wearied of loosing my money again, hence my quest!

By the way, how can we prevent these people from making money @ our expense? Will it be appropriate to say, for instance, if the price rises above so and so, don't buy? 9ralander, what's your give? This is a clarion call!

Hey Nairalanders!

Does it mean there's none in this forum that can give me a lead in my quest? This is puzzling unbelieveable! I know that stock market is a market that thrives on information, for instance, and I have assumed that of all the 378,124 (and still growing) members we have in this forum there are at least a few that should readily have their fingers on issues like these. Common 9ralanders, let's help me make money here. Help me out ASAP!!!

I have a bit of a Million 9ra to take to the NSE. What should I look out for in the market? Short term though.

Thanks.
