Laryfrosh: Hey Bro, it's been a while. How has it been?Did you finally scale to the interview stage? Brotherly thank you for your observation, I emailed them to extend my submission period to April but they gave me two months which is until May to respond. Currently, I am pushing for all possible means to meet all the options attached to it on the means of Livelihood. On the other hand, I also applied for a work permit visa and they have also allowed me to send in my application for preliminary review which I have done waiting for their response. I actually used a full-time work contract I obtained last year to apply for the two routes, for which I was rejected in the Opportunity Card visa |

For the test, I was given 2 subjects (Economics and maths) which consists of 5 questions each. Please sir, what do you graduate from, I noticed you said economics and math as tests? |

Could someone please clarify this for me? For those who applied for a work permit visa with an employment contract, and due to the waiting period, the scheduled arrival date has passed, will the embassy request an updated work contract from your potential employer, or will they still accept the work contract used during the application process, knowing that the delay was caused by waiting for appointments, which led to the passing of the resumption date? |

The dollar is dropping every day. It will definitely favor those on the waiting list who would want to use a block account.
We just pray for the best |

gumroad: So guys, I applied on July 31 last year. About two weeks ago, I was notifed to submit my application for review. I submitted it using my full-time work contract, but it was rejected. My formal obligation letter (sponsorship letter) was also rejected because it was not marked “NACHGEWIESEN.”
I was then given three options: either provide a blocked account, submit a formal obligation letter that is officially verified with the “NACHGEWIESEN” remark and specifically marked for the Opportunity Card, or obtain a part-time work contract instead of a full-time one, with a monthly salary of around €1,200 — not significantly higher and not lower. Getting the sponsorship verification can take quite a long time, depending on the German state where the sponsor applies. In my case, it took my sponsor several months.
I eventually chose the blocked account option and have now rejoined the preliminary review stage. The blocked account is the quickest and most straightforward path at this point. If you can afford it, it is probably the best option among the available choices. We both are in the same situation, Please what do you mean that you have rejoined preliminary review instead of waiting list that I am seeing 1year? |

Laryfrosh: Please someone should assist with the email address of the embassy. @Singlefile you can also go through the thread. I think someone has dropped the email before on this thread. Thank you, I have seen it and emailed them, hope for a quick response |

charlesklaus: I think you meant “long time frame”.
You can’t appeal for a shorter time in the opportunity card category. Processing time for a work visa is faster. I’ll suggest you apply for that instead. Opportunity card processing time is faster bro It's only the EU Blue card visa that is quick. I did the two national D work visa and opportunity card visa and until now, no hope on that route bro. The funny part is, it doesn't have a waiting time period. God knows till when |

Laryfrosh: Chai! This is sad! 😢 How long were you given to submit your application? I think they normally give 14 days? If you've gone through the thread, you would have spotted it out that full-time employment can't stand for Opportunity card. How do you get a BA or SL within 2 days now? 😕
Omooo! After all the wait!!! 😢 I was even giving 30days, enough time to arrange for an alternative and submit my application. Please someone help me with their email? address Now that the dollar and euro are dropping drastically, it would have been to my favor |
Travel › Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Singlefile(m): 12:25pm On Feb 18 |
charlesklaus: The opportunity card is not for full-time. For work, they’ll only accept a part-time job that meets the salary requirement. I understand but the short time frame is not helping matters. Please I really need their email address so I can appeal for time |

My full-time work contract documents were rejected and I was just giving 2days to respond. After all this time waiting and hoping I may scale through and currently the time is too short to make alternatives |

Nuelojei38: I am thinking the waiting time for the different visa categories are likely different. So if Opportunity card waiting time is shorter than that of employment, it may be in his best interest to reapply You are very correct here |

Laryfrosh: Chai! Since October? That's sad o 😕 You went for a second interview, right? Seriously I can't predict this process anymore, someone that did interview in December has gotten a response but the one of October is still waiting for a response. Until now, nobody has confirmed if they have reached the August people on the waiting list. The last one we saw was 31st of July. This trend used to be very busy last year but now, just hoping for the best |

elayomohammed: Before applying for Chancenkarte, I have a running application for student visa. After aiting for over six months, just when I was expecting to be invited for student visa interview, I got an email from the embassy that they student visa application have been canceled because I changed my visa category. So i'll advice you ensure you only have one running application. I think it is possible to create an account and apply with a different email address. One email address can only accept one application |

That should be around March or April. Omo, waiting is not the issue but getting it right when the opportunity comes. The worse thing that can happen to anyone waiting is to be rejected for a careless mistake.
Anyway, I have not confirmed who is the August list they have called for preliminary review sha |

Talk2Bella: Hi everyone,
I wanted to share an update regarding my application, which was rejected for two main reasons.
First, there is a discrepancy between the date of birth on my WAEC certificate and my other documents. I had submitted both an affidavit and a sworn declaration of age to address this. Their position is that I started school too early. I have already sent an email explaining that I come from a teaching household and that I did, in fact, start and complete school quite early. Unfortunately, WAEC no longer corrects dates of birth, so there is nothing further I can do on that end.
Second, they stated that my original MBA certificate was manipulated. I have responded to this and provided them with the official email contact of Ahmadu Bello University so they can verify the certificate directly with the school. I believe this verification should have been done before making such an allegation.
My biggest concern right now is that my original MBA certificate was not returned. It is the only document that was not given back to me. I have written to ask why this was withheld and whether it was intentional. I am really hoping it has not been misplaced. Hardly visa are rejected at German embassy, I am really to hear this, it's very painful and not easy after waiting for this long, went for an interview with expenses and end up rejected. Please, I will advise you also contact your school for the originality of your MBA certificate while you find away to obtain the certificate from the German embassy. The offense placed on you is a criminal offense which may affect you in all Schengen countries. Please do well to clarify things before looking for alternative. My worry is the more money you're going to put into to clarify your name |

Onuchijioke: I was able to change the date of the health insurance. What do I look forward to for the interview? From my observations, the interview is not that tough to accommodate, the most important thing is that you have left the preliminary stage which is the most difficult part of this visa route. I stand to be corrected anyway. Congratulations to all those who have passed through the preliminary stage and also obtained their visas We the August Applicants are still expecting to hear from them on the waiting list |

Lilyyyy: I joined the waiting list first week of August as well… sometime in December my waiting time changed from 2-6months to 2-8weeks, then all of a sudden in January it went back to 2-6months… please did that also happen to you? Yes, the same thing happened to me too. Please keep us posted |
Travel › Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Singlefile(m): 9:46pm On Jan 24 |
My personal observation is that, the most important interview is the preliminary review. If you can get through that process, your 90% obtaining your visa, the remaining 10% is your biometrics, the verification of your documents, and the test.
I just don't know why they have not yet reached the August Applicants for the preliminary stage |

Tifay: Thanks.
What about those that dont have anyone over there. What do they put in there?
Or are saying only those who used the reference of a German legal resident have successfully scaled through I think you either use some one that is legally living in Germany, Organization, institution or company / employer contact details as your reference. They may even check on the person to attest to your claim during your visa processing |

Talk2Bella: might be a system glitch, I got this twice yesterday....just sign in. No sir, I doubt if it is a system glitch. They only send that email once a month on a very particular date you made your application to inform you of the reactivation of your application or to know if you are still interested in the application, counting until your preliminary review. All you need to do is log in anytime you receive the email in that particular month to show that you are still interested in joining the preliminary review stage |
