the money was disgusting, the length of the contract is a disgrace. rooney was 28 & his agent managed to get a 6-year contract for him. so we are stuck with rooney till he's 34.

everyone knows rooney does not have that super athlete body like ronaldo & yet moyes signed him for 6 years. at 29, he's struggling with pace. imagine what he would look like at 34?

then again, i was speaking to one dude on redcafe who said he hates LVG but he cannot blame him for rooney's constant inclusion in the team.

he said there's a rumour that rooney's current constant included 100% appearance unless he's injured clause. seeing that it was moyes that co-signed that contract, it's highly plausible.

even at £50m, i would buy him.
we bought rio for £30m from leeds in 2002. stones is better than what rio was in 2002. he's a top defender & he won't be in everton for long.
