There are three conditions that must be fulfilled before a player signs;

A. The club reserve the final say on its players sales unless the player is a free agent. This is the most important condition. If the club refuses to sell, the player won't leave if under a contract. E.g: Juventus told Barca that they have the final say on Pogba regardless of Barca's agreement with Raiola

B. A player and the interested club wooing him will (not a must o) agree before the transfer can go through. E.g: Ballotelli refusing Watford's advances even though Liverfool will sell him if he agrees to join them.

C. The player has to agree personal terms with his new club and pass their medicals before he's unveiled as their player.

Now let's solve the puzzle.

A. Coach of Club A meets with Player Z and they both agree Club A will buy Player Z. Condition B fulfilled.

B. Club A meets with club of Player Z and both clubs refuses on the amount Player Z would be sold on. Condition A, the most important condition not met.

C. Another club called Club C now knew Club A will never pay the amount club of Player Z placed on him, then offers to pay club of Player Z the money, and got Player Z.

If that's snatching to you, then Man Utd snatched Schneiderlin from Assnal which is a lie cos when Assnal refused to pay the amount Southampton placed on him, Man Utd decided to pay the amount this season and got him.

From the link you posted, Ferdinand confirmed Man Utd refused to pay more than the amount they felt Robben was worth. That's no snatching. Chelshit only paid more after Man Utd refused paying more and dropped interest.

Yeah it was confirmed, but Muller is an unrealistic option. No chance of him coming this season. Hence the reason i don't bother myself hoping on Muller to come.

It's overly possible that Valencia would have benched Clyne simply because different coaches have different choices of players. Mata was Chelshit's best player when MoaningHoe arrived and benched him cos he didn't fit in his football plans/patterns. Rafael is a better RB than Val, but Val benched him because Gaal prefers Val to Raf. Raf is no poor RB. Mata is a poor winger than Val, but Val is benched and Mata starts. It's all about a coach's choice. MaureenHoe benched Casillas, not every coach would do that.

Now we are stuck with Rooney, i hope he finally delivers. There's no top tier striker available presently, so Rooney better come through for us.
