How a manager like van Gaal cannot see the obvious weaknesses at the back line and how short handed we are upfront is beyond me.

Even more worrying is placing Blind as CB. Maybe it might spur us into action after Kane rips him apart.

LVG thinks football is mathematics. How someone can out of partisanship think of converting Blind to CB is beyond me. Gaal is too arrogant sometimes. I pray we win Tottenham because of players' morale, but it would strengthen Plato's resolve to keep Blind as a CB if we win.

LvG goofed on Maria, but on DDG, LvG gave DDG the best "feel good" factor any coach can give a player, even Man Utd gave DDG the best goalie contract in EPL if not the whole of Europe and he refused. This is no preseason. Lingaard had two good preseason under Moyes and Gaal but came below part once he was played in his wing position in the opening fixtures.

Then we make do with Lindegaard and Romero. They both can deliver if we give them chances. Remember DDG goofed earlier in his Man Utd career but we gave him more chances and he came good. To me, Romero is a class act.

Not all coaches. SAF had a say on which players leaves or stays during his regime. Didn't you read the news where MaureenHoe blocked the sale of Mikel SLOWbi and Ramires? A top coach determines who leaves or stays. If LvG wanted Maria to stay like he's clutching unto DDG, Maria wouldn't have been sold.

I just read that news now. Gaal said Man Utd needs 2 players "including" a GK. Meaning 2 player plus (including) a goalie = 3 players. So I'm right about Man Utd's likelihood of getting a LCB alongside Pedro and a GK.

This is mostly Woodward's fault. He has a poor business sense. During Gill's era, we got the value for our players' sales, but ever since Woody came into the scene, that skill faded. From Rafael to Maria, these people have been sold for peanuts. There's no way on God's green earth a Daniel Levy of Tottenham would have sold Maria for £44M. Is he mad? Levy is so thick-skinned he wouldn't spare 1Kobo for anybody. Woody lacks that business acumen and tough stance on player sales.

I've to give props for Marid's bussiness acumen in the Kross and DDG's saga. They came in when the players are in the final year of their contracts, offered them pay increase and prestigeness of their club, the players couldn't resist it. It's a win-win for Madrid because if the club refuses to sell Kroos (as of then) and DDG (as of now), they can patiently wait for them for extra one year and snap them for free. Yes, i agree he'd be sold. His mind is clearly not at Man Utd. He wants go back home, so let's sell him, add a top defender like Otamendi and a pacey winger like Pedro and we're good to go. I just think he's handling it wrongly. Benching DDG is not the right thing to do. DDG should start our matches and keeping saving us till Madrid makes a better payment or comes next season. Lol. It took me a year and many months after to accept we finally have replaced Van Der Sar. The trauma of DDG poor performance when he first arrived haunted me even unto the second half of 2012/13 season. I knew he had very sharp reflexes, but I actually felt the absence of VDS was the major reason we lost the league on goals difference.

When VDS left a Chelsea fan told me our protector had gone and we would be exposed. He laughed at me many times. The other time we trusted a young/untested keeper it didn't work out well at all. I remember when Ben Foster let in cheap attempts from outside of the box. We lost cheap painful points to Burnley and Sunderland, at the end it was part of the reasons we lost the league by just one point in 2009/10.

This season we should have allowed Valdez to start our season if DDG is unhappy. We are already worrying about one or two positions. We shouldn't add a third.

LOL. Ben Foster was a massive error for us. I was scared shitless for months watching him out-match his feat in goal-keeping tomfoolery with each new match. God forbid we end up with another Foster.
