For me though, I will exchange Rooney with Ruud Van Nistelrooy I'll replace Evra with Dennis Irwin, replace Ferdinand with Vidic but leave Rooney ahead of Nistelrooy. Longevity is the only reason I'm not placing Cantona, Nistelrooy and co above Rooney. |

Eruditor: So where did anybody say that the official position for measuring height is when someone is at akimbo?
So who was more at ease in the picture (I uploaded) and yet still taller? I just want to check something. I don't know the origin of the argument (I stated that ab initio), neither do I know who's taller between Cahill and Giroud. I'm just concurring with Airmark's position that when one's height is measured in the straight position with both legs firmly closed together, when such a person raises one of legs from that exact position, his height won't increase. The leg he's standing on must be flatly placed on the floor and not lifted from the floor. |

Ibime: We are all saying the same thing but to be sure, two feet down can never achieve the same perfectness of right-angle as one foot down, although you may not be able to note the difference without accurate measuring tools.
If your leg is exactly 1 metre long from your groin to heel, every degree you deviate from forming a perfect right angle with the ground will remove 1.7 centimeters from your height (sine of 1 degree multiplied by 1 metre).
But don't forget though that the argument started from a picture comparing two players - one standing on one leg, and the other standing at ease.
In summary, closing your feet helps to get closer to a right angle but not as perfectly as standing on one foot. Both arguing parties have come to the same conclusion but na stronghead make argument continue when they both agree. It's safe to say, the added height of standing on one leg is insignificant and won't make worthy difference. |

Expert17: Try it agn.... A change will occur, human body is built to be balance with both legs, tempering with the equilibrium, by raising one leg, will immediately Lead to slight change in height. So, assuming you're 150cm, on raising your one leg, you'd become 151cm or what? Why don't you walk into a hospital and measure your height when you're standing straight and when you've raised your leg, let's see the number of inches raising your leg added to your height then. |

Expert17: All this ur explanation won't make Oliver giroud to be taller than Cahill....
Don't allow them use turning stick on you,. Whether Giroud is taller than Cahill is none of my business. I didn't confirm that either. I'm only saying when your height is measured in a straight position with your legs clasped together, raising one leg up won't another inch to your position. That's my stance. |

MichaelBukamzy: Sir Airmak the L is yours but dont accept that L yet please.you guys should extend this height argument to next month so that we would fully enjoy this egbon raumdeuter vs hazard strike at least for few weeks. From what I've read from last page to your post, Airmark is not wrong. See, what Airmark is saying is that when your height is measured in a STRAIGHT POSITION (which is the official and universally accepted way), raising one leg won't add or even reduce your height. No expert takes your height measurement while you're standing at akimbo or with some angles between your legs. When your two legs are closed and are straight and your height is taken, raising one leg up doesn't alter it. It's when you're at akimbo like the diagram Ibime posted, that your height increases when you stand on one leg coz you'd be forced to stand erect. It's just common sense. To confirm this, walk into a hospital near you and tell them you want to measure your height. The expert will tell you to stand beside the measuring equipment. Now, consciously part your legs a bit and you'd see that the next thing he or she would tell you is to close your legs together and face front without looking down. These measures are to eliminate any factor that will reduce your actual height. After taking your height measurement, raise one leg up and no inch will be added to the new measurement. The pictures of the players posted while they were standing at ease won't tell you the full picture unless the disparity in their heights are much. |

spillo1: LMFAO.....You are typing emotionally which is making you not to drop anything sensible. If the team is performing up to a standard Pogba will definitely stay. Kdb will never want to leave man city because they match his ambition. We haven't done that most of Pogba time here which is frustrating as expected. Selling Pogba who is up there with Kdb in terms of ability will leave a bad taste. I'm typing emotionally? How? You asserted that United doesn't want to match Pogba's ambition despite the hundred of millions of pounds on different players including his buddies. Now, in order to settle this amicably, we're asking that since we won't match his ambition (obviously, next season, we won't buy Neymar, CR7, Messi, Mbappe and KDB in order to match his ambition), let him go to Barca, Madrid or Juve with the star players that will match his ambition and play in UCL, while we buy players that we can match their ambitions. Pray tell, what's so difficult to understand? He wants a new challenge, Juve is his home? Let him go na. Why are you hell-bent on enslaving Pogba with us while we're trying to set him free and unlock him so he can go to his home, Juve? Bro, you're confused o. |

Other clubs will buy midfielders to help their team win matches, United will be buying Micheal Scofields to help unlock Pogba who's not in slavery or in prison.
Clubs will be buying players that will play for them, but we will be players to play for Pogba.
Since Ferguson left, we've been struggling. Suffering one humiliation after another. Working hard to rebuild this team. In those times, Pogba has arrived and we've struggled both with him and without him. So, I don't get the special struggle we'd struggle if he's sold. It's not as if we've won league and UCL since we bought him. Yet, we'd hold on to someone that doesn't want to play for us anymore just because of his talent that we see twice in 10 matches. Yeye dey smell. |

Shebi United can't match Pogba's ambition despite spending millions on Maguire, Lukaku, Fernandez, Lindelof, bringing his paddy, Zlatan, etc? So, let him go to Juve and Madrid that has ambition while we get players that wants to spend time getting the team to win instead of winning on the social media. I don't see how this is a problem. United will not buy Messi or Neymar coz of Pogba, neither will we keep buying midfielders that will leave their main work just to concentrate on unlocking an enslaved Pogba. Let him go na. Once Pogba leaves, we can sign Declan Rice or some other British midfielder for 100+ million or an overhyped prospect and we will see if they suffer the same abuse if they dont score hatricks and save the team every game. The marriage was doomed to fail because the expectations on Pogba was too much not because of a mismatch. This is a joke. Criticisms? Martial, Shaw, Lingard, Fred and co has suffered uncountable criticisms, how many of them or their agent has shown the kind of attitude Pogba and Raiola has shown? Abeg, stop this joke. |

spillo1: LMFAO..... l hope after selling our best player and he starts performing elsewhere you lots won't be moaning here daily and blaming the board like in lukaku case. You just don't get it. Someone like you would prefer to groom a cobra and tiger that would end up striking you just because you want to appear wealthy. Someone like you doesn't value self-respect. You're ready to be humiliated just to put up some front to impress people. Ronaldo was sold, he went to Madrid and did well. It hurt us, but we're still breathing. Still pushing it. Guardiola sold off Ibra, Ronaldinho and co, guess what? Barca is still alive and kicking. Coutinho didn't want to be part of Liverpool some years ago, after seeing he's mind is made up, Liverpool sold him. Emre Can same thing. Guess what? Liverpool have not folded because of them. Even Suarez and Torres have come and gone and Liverpool are still hanging in there. Pogba hasn't been a Scholes or Robson for us. he hasn't been as influential as Cantona or the likes of Best. You have this irritating mentality that Pogba is the alpha and omega of this club. It's people like you that have made Pogba and Raiola turn this reputable club into a joke. So, you prefer us to keep suffering humiliation coz of Pogba just so he doesn't go and succeed In another club? I don't subscribe to that. Since Pogba and United won't obviously work out, let him go and succeed somewhere else as long as we can get good sum for him. It'll be a win-win situation for us. This quote below is how I feel about Pogba and hope he leaves after this season.

adebayo201: How I long for the combo of Pogba and Bruno... The team is not complete yet. I just hope main man can but his ego down and play for the club with pride.
I won't join the gang that will say sell him because we don't need him. Yes, no player is bigger than any club but better to have a robust team with many options than a slim one with injuries. The players are coming from injury and we don't need to depend on Bruno alone. There's need if necessary to always have contingent plan which I think Pogba can bring to that midfield.
If he insisted in going, then, Pogba, farewell... A leopard can never change its spots. Pogba oozes negativity. He's talented, but his baggages are much more than we can handle. Even his agent is a thorn in our flesh. Pogba and United are a mismatch. What I'd love is for Pogba to come back, perform well and then get sold for a huge sum so both parties can go their separate ways. Pogba needs to leave. This marriage was doomed to fail from the beginning. United will thrive without Pogba. We've lost far more influential players and heaven didn't fall. His case won't be any different. |
