Yes you can, it is specified by CIC that you need to explain any lump sum deposit. Also the person providing this funds/gift must be identified.

Bravo to the Gurus for the good work they are doing here.. Pls I will like to ask if a lump sum in the account can be explained as deed of gift with proper documentation for that. Someone used this for the Canadian express entry stuff and the permit was granted.. Will this suffice for student visa?.

I need help on securing MSc. Chemistry Admission in a Canadian Universities. Most of the Universities offering my intended course mandated that a supervisor must be secured before proceeding with application. I have been trying to contact several faculty members in different schools, infact, i have mailed more than one hundred (100) faculty members. Some gave negative response, while many ignored my inquiry. I am planing for winter 2020. I want My Ogas in the house like @frankrobbn1 etc to pls assist me on this because time is flying away. I will be applying for winter 2020 and the deadline is fast approaching.
Pls, My Ogas in the house, Can I proceed in applying for the admission without securing a supervisor first.
