iHart: If the oil is thick but can flow out of the keg, don't bother yourself about boiling it. Get someone to buy it like that.
Where is your location? Alright boss I'm in Anambra |
Business To Business › Re: PALM OIL BUSINESS( Productions, Sales and Storage) by sirmike123: 8:36pm On Nov 04, 2022 |
sirmike123: By boiling, you mean emptying the whole oil inside a pot and cooking it over again? Won't it sleep again when it gets cool after boiling?
Well, i placed the keg ontop of 2 planks and I even used another plank to prevent it from having direct contact with the wall. The place i kept it earlier, there's a fridge there, so i think the air the fan of the fridge was blowing must have affected it too. Abeg make una answer my question naa @donparosky |

donparosky: Thick oil doesn't necessarily mean bad oil.
Firstly you can Sun it up but it'd sleep off when it's cold. This option is best if the thickness isn't too bad!
If it's very thick, I mean solid, then boiling is your best bet. However while you'd be able to get a watery good nice oil after boiling, you won't get the same volume when you are done.
When buying oil for long storage, it's wise to get sth with more olein proportion.
Try to agitate the keg vigorously first before any of the options above especially if you stored them well.
God bless your hustle By boiling, you mean emptying the whole oil inside a pot and cooking it over again? Won't it sleep again when it gets cool after boiling? For how long too? Well, i placed the keg ontop of 2 planks and I even used another plank to prevent it from having direct contact with the wall. The place i kept it earlier, there's a fridge there, so i think the air the fan of the fridge was blowing must have affected it too. |

My bosses in the house @donparosky, I greet una o. Please I need una help o. After gathering enough info from this thred and some other places, I finally bought a keg of palm oil for a start on April 17. Just recently, i noticed that the oil has become thicker than it was when I got it newly. I am planning to sell it off before the week runs out but my fear is that buyers might see it as a bad oil. Please is there anything I can do about it, I need una advice please oo |

Thanks to danparosky and other members of this thread giving out their knowledge and experience for newbies like me to learn. I'm planning to go into palm oil business this year (though in a small way).
I still a few questions to ask the house... 1. How would a newbie like me know and differentiate a quality Palm oil from a bad one 2. Can the palm oil be stored in a deep freezer 3. Since almost everyone is into buying and storing till around the ember months when the price will go up, won't that someone affect the price then (looking at it from the angle of demand and supply) 4. How do newbies like me go about with the marketing since I'm just starting for the first time. E dey really move market at all?.... Thanks |
