55emem55: I picked a new date, June 20th! Prepared with all my life! Went into the exam hall and said one prayer God, give me the scores that I need. Remember, my wants were to max out, but God already knew what I needed and he gave it to me.
Lo and behold, results came out today and I had: L 8.5 R 7 W 7 S 7.5
Special thank you to @d4eva who has been reviewing my essays since October 2018. I am so indebted to you. Thank you @adiepena for your reviews as well. And to everyone who shared one tip or another, y'all are the real MVPS.
NOW MY WATCH HAS ENDED. Congratulations. So happy for you... |

johnnybravo1990: Just when you need me, I come knocking. I have replied your dm. Check your spam folder, or go through my previous posts for my number.
Come unto me all ye who labour with IELTS Writing, and I will give you rest. Looking at your scores, you are intelligent; it should be easy work for me. In fact, it should be fun actually. Get in touch with me on or before 2 June; check above on how to contact me. You will be last of the set of people I will offer to coach 2 June. Others will wait till 16 June. A fee may apply depending on how much of my time you want me to invest in your improvement. This is to cover my data subscription and other expenses; I coach one-on-one via WhatsApp calls. A call usually goes for as long as an hour and in some cases well over an hour. But with time, the duration of the call tends to reduce as candidates get better. I look forward to hearing from you.
To the general house, I have noticed that Reading is becoming an issue these days, and based on popular demand—notwithstanding Reading is not my forte—I have taken it upon myself to delve into the realm of Reading. So, hopefully, I will commence coaching people on Reading by 16 June; I just need to fine-tune my reading skills and formulate a coaching plan between now and then. Have a lovely week ahead. Many thanks. I'll reach out to you later today. |

55emem55: I can't but envy your reading scores. 9 back to back.
Please do you mind sharing how you tackled T,F,NG questions? Or materials you used? That seems to be my main concern
Thank you for your kind consideration. I learnt T,F,NG using IeltsLiz. The key thing with the reading exam is time management. Answer the questions you find easiest first and the harder ones last. Extensive practice will help you identify the question types you find challenging. Skim through the passages to get the general gist and find answers. Reading to understand will waste your time and possibly stress you out. Also, underline, circle or highlight keywords or phrases/sentences that pop out to you as you skim read. It will help you find answers easily as you start to look for them. Aim to finish in 35 - 50 mins and then use the remaining time to go over your answers - especially the answers you are not sure of. Do let me know if you need any further help. |

Marula: Who has successfully sent Unilag transcript to WES. How did you track? The instruction on the portal says your date will be updated with a tracking number yet its getting close to 3weeks now and Unilag is yet to provide a tracking number.
I've been issued transcript some years back so was expecting it to be fast this time since its in my file already. If you have a contact that can help, please let me know. Thanks. It took about 5 weeks for Unilag to dispatch my transcript. I hope you used courier? I used NIPOST and after 2months the transcripts still had not arrived so I had to write WES to take out the credential and assess only my MSc. which had arrived and had been verified. |
