I ave thought so much about diz nd i ave seen so much of it. Some parents dont know how to instill respect into dere child(ren) instead dey jxt make dere children to respect dem out of fear, which is nt supposed to be. Children re meant to fear dere parents n elders generally out of respect nd nt d other way round.
I know one small pikin like dat, if d parle dey house, u no fit hear 'pim' for diz boy mouth even if he talk, na wit nose nd u go hardly hear wetin he dey talk. But if d parle jxt comot house like diz, O Lord ma God, O God ma Lord..no b only pim u go hear, u go hear wen join.
In a situation like diz, d child(ren) cant say anyfin in front of d parent, not because he has nothing to say, bt he is afraid of wat dey mite say or do to him after saying whats in his/her mind. Nd frm dere, problem starts even till future if the child(ren) does nt know ow to voice him/herself out.
What some parent dont know is dat, wateva dey do or teach dere child(ren) will go with dem forever. Its jxt like a parent packin somefins inside d school back pack of dere kids.If wat dey pack is good for d kids,he/she will b happy to make use of it nd if its bad,he/she will find a way ow to use it bt in diz case d back pack will b carried by diz kids forever. Xo watever is inside,dey will find a way to make use of it.
Xo,parents/adults know wat u teach ur little ones cos if its good,its a + to dem n d pple around dem nd if its d other way round, him/her n d pple around dem will ave to deal wit it.

I tink being shy is not dat bad. It all jxt boils down to each persons 'temperament' nd wat some of us dont realize is dat diz temperament vitually affects evrytin we do in life. From sleeping to eating to even flirting sef.
The one tin im good @ out of all doze tins mentnd is d one of phone flirting....i can neva be boring while chatin on fone. But if u c me one on one, u wont like me cos i wont talk dat much nd u would ave to do all d talking.
Not proud of tho, jxt ave to b workin on ma weakness nd build on ma strength also (if dat makes any sense).

dmcdad: It's really childish. Simple! And it baffles me much that some so-called mature people would come up here to support this. Mehn, I sometimes wonder what maturity entails when I get to encounter such people one way or another.

People should understand that, there is an absolute tendency that you would always move higher in life. It's normal. The question that should linger in our minds would be; do we keep dropping and picking up new friends at every of those times? For the non - knowledgeable ones it would be a yes, but for the wise and reasonable ones, that would be a no-no.

Now I ain't saying one shouldn't make better company. That would be an awkward advise. But do we throw away the ones we had before making new ones, up till the extent of not having time to talk or spend even an iota of time with them? Now, that would be silly to say the least. Now, if these people add nothing whatsoever to you, I guess we could say it would be a different kettle of fish. But even at that, that shouldn't rid them of having at least 5minutes of your time to chat for old-time sake. Besides, the person you despise today might just turn out to be someone to be reckoned with tomorrow.

Wait a minute, how does it seem to people? You have a friend and because you move a step higher in the ladder then he/she is automatically alienated? For someone that is not a friend, it would be totally understandable. But for a close fellow, then it's immaturity that is borne out of foolishness.
