undecidedThis is war and wars are always disgusting...Israel is just like a paranoid mad man that would always snap at the slightest provocation, the whole world knows this.

But hamas having locally manufactured thousands of rockets decided that they were ready to do battle with the mad man Netanyahu.(with some bunch of rockets)

Clearly hamas dosent even care if the Gaza strip is turned to a parking lot and it occupants wiped out.

Isreal on the other hand are having a party with the whole thing. Bombing anything that moves and with the loss of about 30soilders in this present Episode they are going to make sure the whole of Gaza strip catches Hell.

Since both parties have decided to send the other into extinction, so be it.
But they should stop whinning when a rockets hits either Gaza or Israel......I mean what are they expecting they've declared war on each other.

Since both sides are very foolish and stong headed to come to a peaceful and reasonable resolution.

Just that Gaza would suffer the most.

They all want to own Blackberries and buy the latest tech gadgets even though most of them don't even know how to operate it.

Their families would be thinking they are in school meanwhile they are busy traveling round the whole 36states and beyond straffing high valued targets grin.
In doing all these they would never ever agree to the fact that they are prostitutes.

After forking 80 different men they come back to tell you "Look I'm not a prostitute".

They walk around with very big handbags full of pants and daily basic supplies. Because they don't even know where they might spend the night or weekend.

When they hear about Nigerian girls in Italy doing prostitution, they be like "Godforbid I can never go into prostitution no matter what"

Who are they deceiving??

THEMSELVES!!grin

Uniport students recently went on strike in protest for the hike in fees........why can't those runs babes there introduce some form of subsidy for other students. #JustSayinggrin

Ahuitzotl: Don't flatter yourself...B2s will get blown off by SA 11s.
grin That would be awesome..As of today a single missile has not been fired at a B2, even though it has been in lots of hostile SAM infested territory
I'm guessing the SAM operators decide to give the B2s safe passage.

Ahuitzotl: I give up!!!
Nice one man!! SAMs are Great No doubt, but this is not Flight MH17 this is a B2.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Top 10 Most Expensive Military Planes by skullz:
Ahuitzotl: What am also saying is they are very vulnerable and hence are not as decisive in major conflicts today as most people believe them to be...
We can go on about the stealthiness of the B2, you and I know it is a deep strike aircraft capable of penetrating even the most saturated of SAM sites. Weaken air defences and make way for other aircrafts to carry out bombing run.
The B2 would appear inconsequential on a radar screen thus making it hard to detect.

IR signture is low. Heat seekers have nothing to even Lock on.

Technically it has knocked out your SAM sites and disappeared before you even know it was there.

At best your only chances are lighting up the whole sky with missiles and pray you hit it...probability of that happening is ermm.....Zero!!
Because The B-2's operational altitude
imposes a flight time for defensive weapons that
makes it virtually impossible to engage the aircraft
during its weapons deployment.

Ahuitzotl: That is why drones are in high demand to supplement the numbers of expensive trained pilots and aircrafts....How bad would it look like for a $1 million trained pilot to get shot down in his $50million jet by a missile costing $250,000...
..That's what I've been hammering all this while, you can't eliminate the use of aerial components in battles/war, be it manned or unmanned.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Top 10 Most Expensive Military Planes by skullz: 7:56pm On Jul 30, 2014
Ahuitzotl: We was talking about heatseekers and afterburners then you said something about lock which in this case is redundant because locks are function of radar not heat (our current subject) and then you went of tangent about radar resignation and stealth but we had to bring you back to heat, heatseekers and afterburners..
......Talking about Heat(IR) then you should know it's hard to pick up an IR
signal from great distances
Nairaland GeneralRe: Top 10 Most Expensive Military Planes by skullz: 7:37pm On Jul 30, 2014
Ahuitzotl: Aircrafts generally will be withdrawn from major war offensives because military strategies with the prevailing advanced ballistic systems will make their role in the front,no matter the generations, useless just like expensive battleships...
..More like we are heading for the era of Unmanned aerial warfare
Nairaland GeneralRe: Top 10 Most Expensive Military Planes by skullz: 7:35pm On Jul 30, 2014
Ahuitzotl: We are talking heat not radar...
.......... Now I'm confused!!
Ahuitzotl: [b] Missiles locks are a function of radar not heat..
Nairaland GeneralRe: Top 10 Most Expensive Military Planes by skullz: 7:21pm On Jul 30, 2014
Ahuitzotl: What scenario are you talking about? we thought we was squaring off with one B-2,now you say (change the goalposts) we got multiple bogeys?! against one lonely battery?!!, that is not a feasible nor strategic or a tactical scenario..It can never happen....If it is an air raid or a bombing run then its imperative the radar stations must be knocked out but how is it possible when most are very mobile with thick camouflage?? O.k, so you manage to knock off some and drop your bombs then how do you escape with heatseekers all over the sky, else you shut your engines and crash....Yes,Russia is the best in advanced missile weaponry that is why expensive american jets will become obsolete very soon.
Yes these expensive jets would become obsolete that's why you hear 3rd Gen, 4th Gen, 5th Gen.......All these jets were once expensive and ruled the skies in their days.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Top 10 Most Expensive Military Planes by skullz: 7:07pm On Jul 30, 2014
Ahuitzotl: Missiles locks are a function of radar not heat..The purpose of deploying flares against high velocity heat seeking projectiles is easily defeated when a bomber aircraft sacrifices agility, manouervability and just plain speed for stealth that is why we have bomber escorts...Or is a bomber capable of extreme g-force just to evade a missile without knocking out its pilots??
Thanks for admitting radar plays an important role in acquiring targets.

The B2 is STEALTH remember, it has a radar absorbent skin......The B-2 is designed to contain its own radio signals, the electromagnetic energy generated by
onboard electronics. The plane does emit radio energy when using its radar scanner or
communicating with ground forces and other aircraft, but the radar signal is small and highly focused,
making it less susceptible to detection.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Top 10 Most Expensive Military Planes by skullz: 6:43pm On Jul 30, 2014
Ahuitzotl: By mobility,we mean 4-wheel drive sometimes the most simplest inventions can get the hardest tasks done. Now using the aforementioned principle, heatseekers are a surefire way to hunting B-2s....except if they exhaust cold-air contrails from their afterburners...
How do you fire without a lock?

Even if you manage a lock heat seekers are easily deceived.FLAREs
Nairaland GeneralRe: Top 10 Most Expensive Military Planes by skullz: 6:17pm On Jul 30, 2014
Ahuitzotl: What concept of the word MOBILITY do you not understand?? If an invader tracks a radar signature for interdiction how does the invader know that particular station isnt mobile and so must have changed locations?! thus leaving itself vulnerable to a counterattack.
by MOBILITY I hope you mean DISAPPEAR

Secondly how do you shoot what you can't even track?(B2)

50calibre: The B2 stealth bomber is the beating heart of America's ariel capabilities, that beast can penetrate air defences, be deployed to anywhere in the world within hours, and carry nuclear warheads.

Little wonder the US only brings them out when they want to flex some military muscles.
Thank you sir.

B2s basically opens your defence for the likes of F-15s,16s,22s,35s to fork you up. Just look at it like a virus. A deep-striking beast.

Ahuitzotl: Deploying Armoured divisions with extensive artillery or/including mobile SAM and SAS system support would be a very good projection...
.......................................................................Please Read.
bookface: You missed the point!

First, you cant carry a closed in weapons system on a missile!

Second, you can't use a closed in weapons systems for targets that are miles away.

Third, there are drones that are the same size as jet fighters, a radar cannot tell the difference between the two. A radar will only identify either a small or large object flying at xyz speed along with a number of other information - the radar will not distinguish between a drone and a fighter. You will need to get up close and personal to make an identification - i.e scramble your own jets.

Fourth, an invader that is looking to target your radar stations may send in the drones as in the third point above as decoys - it wouldn't matter if you shoot your SAMs or whatever at them, as long as your radar station begin to track these decoys, their locations can be mapped and they can be taken out pretty quickly! Once your radar stations are out, every your missile defense structure is wrecked! It took NATO only two days to wipe out Libya's Soviet made missile defense structure!

Fifth, the Russians may truly have the technology to "see" through stealth, but these claims are untested. The beauty of having a stealth technology is that it gives you the upper hand, not only in combat but in psychological wars. For instance, the US may claim that it has just flown a B2 bomber through Russian airspace - this may in fact be false! But the Russians cannot tell if it is true or false - Until a time when you actually shoot down a B2 spirit, an F22 or an F35, you claims to have the capacity to "see" through stealth will remain untested.
Bottom line: SAMs are pretty much effective. But you can never eliminate aircrafts. Aircrafts play different roles. Relying solely on SAMs would leave your defence forked.

Ok..Goodluck

I would like to know how force projection would be carried out in this your foreseen Military Era
Nairaland GeneralRe: Top 10 Most Expensive Military Planes by skullz: 4:03pm On Jul 30, 2014
Ahuitzotl: So as most SAMs can reach altitudes of up to 10km and range of 20km, there isnt any need to sight the enemy before launching.Either way, aircrafts these days are very vulnerable to guided surface fire, especially high altitude long range projectiles.I foresee the next air war to be on a juncture as to who deploys the most advanced SAM batteries....Not the most expensive Aircrafts.
So in essence if you are in charge of an army you would deploy more SAM batteries??
