PLEASE I have this dell lattitude 600 brought to me for repairs by a user, she said the laptop sundenly developed BIOS password problem, I dissmembered the laptop to remove the CMOS battery, a trick that has worked on some system, but it has has proved worthless on this occassion.

please how do i go about removing the password to access the setup?

I know from a friend that there's a particular chip under the processor which when short-circuited, will restore the system but I don't know which of the chips it might be.

please help.

@Poster, Thax 4 dis, My HP is not booting completly. i have to press excape b4 it boots and even when it boots, it types in passwords on it's own. I can not delete d passwords. I must press enter key, it will give me wrong password then i retype my password before d system will open. Please, what is happening to it?

I can't believe this. . . . Damn
can you imagine? I was downloading linux red hat 9. . 3 isos the 3rd one was 400 mb the first two are 600 each. . . The 3rd one downloaded completely. . . While the first 2 got to 99.99% and d idm was stuck at 0 bytes damn damn damn damn bleep bleep this is the second time i've tried downloading them. . . Damn damn damn my mass effect 2 download stopped at 2GB and the 0 byte syndrome started!! Damn u mehn i saw that too. . . You'll have to like have 7mbps for that speed. . . Strange though my idm never messes up like that

Hey my pips abg i have i problem wit ma dell inspiron 64000, it just shows weneva i power it on, it on d process of coming up it suddenly show a blue screen n den begin to reboot again, it does dis like 3 to 5 times b4 it finaaly powers up, aalthough i hv tried to read wat it say on d blue screen but i cant because it shows for 4 some seconds and goes off, it also goes off after it stays on ie doin d same tin i compalined abt,
