The amazing thing is till date those people are still my clients even after I moved from freelancing to running my own startup called www.codefixbug.com and they make up 10% of our client base.

It really annoying when people like you call yourself developer. Look at your portfolio and see all the wack website you did with WordPress and so on. Rubbish. You people will just discourage those that have interest in development with your rubbish.

Business / Naira May Record Gain Next Week by skyro(m): 10:31am On Oct 08, 2016
The naira is expected to stabilise on the parallel market after international money transfer agencies started selling dollars to Bureau De Change operators in line with the Central Bank of Nigeria directive.

“We have started receiving dollar supply from Travelex and we expect this to gradually impact positively on the naira exchange rate going forward,” the President, Association of Bureau De Change Operators of Nigeria, Aminu Gwadabe, told Reuters.

The naira was quoted at 470 to the dollar on the black market on Friday, compared with 473 on Thursday.

At the interbank market, the naira closed at 305.5 per dollar.

The kwacha is likely to remain firm next week due to conversions of hard currency by companies preparing to pay taxes that are due in the local unit on October 14.

At 1117 GMT, commercial banks quoted the currency of Africa’s second-largest copper producer at 9.8900 per dollar from 9.8000 a week ago.

“The Kwacha is expected to continue trading with a bullish tone against the dollar on the back of strong corporate and interbank inflows. Trading range is expected to be between K9.800 and K9.850 in the near term,” Zambia National Commercial Bank said in a note.

The Kenyan shilling is expected to remain stable in the coming week, although dollar sales from multi-national companies buying shillings to pay tax obligations could offer a boost, traders said.

At 1100 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 101.15/35 to the dollar, compared with 101.25/35 at last Thursday’s close.

“I expect corporates will be selling dollars in advance of tax dues,” said a trader from one commercial bank.

The Ugandan shilling is forecast, to trade on a weaker footing as commercial banks rush to buy dollars in anticipation of further weakening of the local currency due to demand from energy and manufacturing companies.

At 1159 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 3,408/3,418, weaker than last Thursday’s close of 3,380/3,390.

A trader at one leading commercial bank said “banks will be rushing to expand positions because they don’t want to be caught short.”

The Tanzanian shilling is expected to hold steady in the days ahead, helped by subdued demand for dollars from importers.

Commercial banks quoted the shilling at 2,178/2,188 to the dollar on Thursday, weaker than 2,175/2,185 a week ago.

“I do not see any significant movement in the market over the coming week. The shilling is anticipated to trade in the same levels going forward,” said Francis William, a dealer at Commercial Bank of Africa Tanzania

According to punch report i learned that the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has said there is a plot to declare a state of emergency in the state.

Wike said this in the early hours of Saturday after a dispute with operatives of the Department of the State Services and policemen who were trying to arrest a judge in the state.

The governor, who said the security operatives had threatened to shoot him, warned that the actions of the security operatives were dangerous to the country’s democracy.

He, however, told journalists after the incident that he would not allow impunity in the state, arguing that the security operatives were trying to abduct the judge.

He said, “Not under my watch wiĺl I allow this kind of impunity to take place. That is why we are here. I don’t know which judge they were detailed to abduct. I didn’t bother myself to know which judge. All I am interested in is that, at this level, it is not allowed.

“He is not a criminal and he is not an armed robber. If the person has committed an offence, invite him. It is only when he refuses to honour the invitation that you can adopt this commando style.

“The Commissioner of Police is here, the Director of DSS is here. Their operatives cocked their guns and threatened to shoot me. I have never seen that before. Again, this is to tell you what we are facing. We know that more will come. For us in this state, we shall continue to resist it.”

Wike said he was willing to make the necessary sacrifice to ensure that things are done properly.

“It doesn’t matter what it will cost. When you talk about liberty, sacrifices must be made. We are not trying to stop an arrest. All we are saying is that things must be done decently and in line with the rule of law,” he said.

“Rivers State is under siege. For you to see a governor out at this time of the day, something is wrong. A siege is an understatement. If this type of thing happens next time, the people wiĺl resist it to the last.

“They are trying to do something funny in this state, probably to declare a state of emergency.”

The governor added that he was not sure President Muhammad Buhari was aware of the action of the police and the DSS

let me also throw my own peace here.

I feel bad for Daniel oh, i do understand wat it means to be accused of wat u are not.

to be sincere Daniel is legitimate person, he is not a scammer i dont know why some people just force name on people becus had bad experience.

i'm a dedicated customer of shopinverse right from when they where still Ladepo and i went there through Daniel, it was on Nairaland i also got his number then he just started this thread. I have seen their worst and good.

The truth is dah there is no charger which is quite bad, but they also sell chargers there. It ur choice to buy charge wif them or not. Looking at the price their laptops, it affordable even as u hav 2 buy charger urself, as 4 me i buy the charger and include the cost to the laptop when selling i don't know why they are not doing it that way though.

Shopinverse business is owned by three people 4rm my own point of view, whose name's are Daniel, Oluchi and one other tall black guy. each of them hav their own behaviour which i will talk abt.

Daniel: Mr. Daniel is someone i respect a lot because of his respect for customers, u will always hear SIR from his mouth in no mater how small u are or low your purchase is. He know how to apologise and calm customer if any problem, he know how to attend to customers nicely, but sadly he is hardly seen in shop. The only problem with Dan is dah he doesn't stay in shop so it hard for him to detect the item which is still available as off the time he leeft shop, and some time i will get there and find that what i came for has already been sold.

Oluchi: This is the guy that will make sure any customer dah came in buy, sweet mouth na him get ammm. He is very patience wit customers n also give full attention to customer at any time, though i hav notice some changes in him recently. He is also hard to find in the shop.

The Tall Black Guy: This is d worst person i hav eva met, i hav notin gud to write abt him. he easily get annoyed with questions talk of complain, he is rude in speech, he feel like big man somtin so' i cant even explain. These is the biz killer 2 say, but i hav learnt how to run my biz wif him. The bad tin is dah he is always in the shop.

As 4 calin Daniel a scammer, dah'z a big fat lie. In biz anytin can happen especially when it com to electronics. i hv import a new 3in1 Samsung printer dah work 4 just 1week and got faulty.

and for the commenter far above mine that was talking about compuer village, if you must know i had my worst experience in computer village last three month, lost abt 39,000 for nothing. i hav sworn no to visit computer village 4 biz.

Politics / PDP Is Shameless For Calling On Buhari To Quit – FG by skyro(m): 10:04am On Sep 16, 2016
The Federal Government has slammed the PDP for once again asking President Muhammadu Buhari to quit, calling the former ruling party a shameless irritant which is bent on distracting the government from its rescue mission and returning the country to ”Egypt”. ”We are on a rescue mission to resuscitate Nigeria after the PDP left it in a coma, and the noise from the same PDP seems designed to sabotage the rescue efforts. But we are not deterred,” the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said in a statement in Abuja on Thursday. The Minister said if the PDP had understood the meaning of shame, it would never have dared to even make a single comment on the same economy that it did everything to kill. ”While the PDP was emasculating Nigeria on all fronts, including social, economic and political, the rapacious party was deceiving Nigerians by giving them the illusion of growth and prosperity. Instead of showing remorse and rebuilding itself to a strong opposition party, the PDP has continued to blame the successor Buhari Administration which is left to pack their mess. PDP undertakers have continued to engage in a blame game, when they should be hiding from the shame they brought upon themselves and the nation,” he said. Alhaji Mohammed said what the PDP has consistently put up as a vibrant economy under its watch was nothing but a bubble that was buoyed by massive corruption and chronic incompetence, an economy in which someone without any known means of earned livelihood would boast of $31.5 million! ”They keep saying we should stop talking of the past, yet the past will not stop rearing its head. They keep saying we should no longer refer to the past, but how can we forget so soon that our foreign exchange reserves plummeted from $62bn in 2008 to $30bn by 2015, at a time when oil prices were at a historic high, reaching a level of $114 per barrel in 2014. By comparison, Indonesia, another oil producing economy with a high population, increased its reserves from $60 billion in 2008 to $120 billion in 2015. ”The candid truth is that we failed under the successive PDP administrations to save for the rainy day, and we need to constantly remind ourselves of that so that we won’t repeat the mistake. Take the excess crude account which fell from about $9bn in 2007 to about $2bn in 2015. The argument that it was the State Governors that depleted the account does not hold water since there were Governors in place when the account was being built up. ”Worse still is the fact that up to $14bn in revenues from Nigerian LNG remains unaccounted for and indeed until the Buhari Administration came to office, State Governments never got any allocations from this source of funds which properly belongs to the Federation Account. The naked fact on the revenue front is that there was just a failure of leadership. This was compounded by the non-transparent uses of funds. We are all witnesses to the sacking of a Central Bank Governor because he raised an alarm about $20 billion that had gone missing. ”We are indeed still trying to recover huge sums looted from the national treasury under the PDP’s watch, with $15 billion stolen from the defence sector alone. Perhaps most painful is that because of the way funds (about $322m) returned from Switzerland were mishandled, we now have to accept conditionalities before our stolen assets are even returned to us,” he said. Alhaji Mohammed said one of the achievements that the PDP has been touting is that it reduced the nation’s national debt. ”However, at the time that we were earning such large revenues from oil, we only managed to double our external debt from $5.6 billion to $10.7 billion between 2011 and 2015. The case of domestic debt was even worse, almost tripling from N888 billion to N2.1 trillion in the same period. Even these figures mask the extent of unpaid obligations to contractors and the huge plethora of uncompleted projects on which money continued to be spent without visible results. Payments to contractors stopped several years ago while not a single dollar was contributed to the Joint Venture activities. Over N4.5 trillion was spent on fuel subsidy in just two years under the PDP! ”Despite a recent oil boom, Nigerians are indeed all victims of the dilapidated and decrepit infrastructure. The economy that the Buhari Administration inherited was certainly in dire straits, if the huge amount of salary arrears that were being owed at various tiers of government is anything to go by. If, after earning so much resources and increasing the total debt stock, our governments were not able to meet salary obligations, sometimes for up to seven months, then something was definitely wrong somewhere and if this is not evidence of a collapsing economy, one wonders what it is. ”Indeed, it was not so long ago that the fuel subsidy regime almost bankrupted the country. Through credibility and commitment to good governance, the current administration has managed to save up to N1.4 trillion that would have been spent on subsidies for PMS. Moreover, the daily demand for PMS has halved from 1600 trucks a day to 850 trucks a day. If we could achieve such savings, then clearly the petrol sector which was and remains a huge source of foreign exchange demand was not being well managed. ”It is also important to point out that the poor security situation in the North East has had ripple effects on the economy. Apart from the dislocation of daily lives, there was extensive loss of agricultural production arising from the fact that our citizens in that zone could not go to their farms not to talk of planting and harvesting produce. Yet, in just a space of about 15 months, the Buhari Administration has liberated this region from the clutches of Boko Haram, which is now left to release meaningless videos when it could no longer carry out spectacular attacks,” he said. The Minister said while the government will continue to welcome constructive criticism, it had nothing to learn from a party that was in charge of the nation’s affairs at a time of plenty, but ended up frittering away the commonwealth, looting the nation blind and setting the stage for today economic crisis, which the Buhari Administration is working tirelessly to put an end to.
