Responsibilities
Monitor public opinion about the organisation or particular issues
Advise management on policy issues and communication strategies
Plan public relations programmes including preparing cost budgets
Present arguments on behalf of the organisation (lobbying) to other organisations and special interest groups
Liaise with the public and respond to inquiries
Liaise with the media, i.e. respond to inquiries, arrange interviews with journalists, prepare and distribute news releases and make statements
Write, edit and arrange production of print materials such as newsletters, house magazines, pamphlets and brochures
Assist in preparing organisational documents such as annual reports, corporate profiles and submissions
write speeches, prepare visual aids and make public presentations
Oversee production of visual (film or video) and audio electronic material, including managing an internet web site
Organize special events such as open days, visits, exhibitions and functions
Conduct internal communication courses, workshops and media training
Evaluate communication activities and recommend future actions

Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum of HND/University degree in Public Relations or related field
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in same field
Ability to speak an indigenous language in addition to English Language is of advantage
Excellent communication and organisational skills
An interest in current affairs
Ability to work under pressure
Keyboard and computer skills
Versatile in audio visuals

SkyWest Customer Service ticket and gate agents are responsible for ticketing and re-booking passengers, boarding flights, assisting passengers with special needs, resolving customer concerns and other duties as assigned. Customer Service ticket and gate agents interact directly with our customers and should represent SkyWest’s professional and positive image at all times.
To be considered for a Customer Service ticket and gate agent position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess strong communication skills
• Possess a National Diploma or First Degree
• Be a Nigerian citizen or upon hire show proof of right to work in Nigeria
• Able to type 30 words per minute
• Able to proficiently use a computer
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Able to lift 30-60 lbs. routinely with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Able to fluently read, write, speak and understand English
• Have a friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic personality
• Able to work in stressful situations and tight time constraints
• Be self-motivated and a team player
• Able to work nights, weekends, holidays and varying schedules
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of an airline ticket and gate agent:
• Greet and assist all customers in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner
• Present a professional and positive image of SkyWest Airlines
• Provide check-in assistance, ticketing changes, re-booking of itineraries and special service requests for passengers
• Check and accept passenger baggage
• Board/deplane flights and escort passengers to and from aircraft as needed, includes pushing wheelchairs and assisting other passengers with additional needs
• Comply with all safety procedures and airline policies
• Provide accurate gate, flight arrival and departure information, as well as answer general inquires
• Assist unaccompanied minors and passengers with special needs, resolve customer concerns and perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain thorough knowledge of policies and processes pertaining to unaccompanied minors, law enforcement officers, hazmat, airfreight acceptance and other regulatory requirements
• Provide clear and accurate communication to passengers, agents, flight crews and vendors
