UdechiHD: You hit the nail on the head. Obasanjo was worst yet the establishment selected him to be President. The likes of Rochas and Kalu still has what it takes to assuade their party for nomination. With fright in my mind, I have to agree with you on this. Nigeria has an unwritten law about electing the worst of us over the best of us, and that's why we have been crawling as toddlers at age 59. But should the Igbos go ahead and support the worst of their men just because Nigeria functions abnormally?. I think Igbos must support only those that has the capacity to become great presidents, not mediocre men like the rest of Nigeria loves to push up there. |

plaindealer: Please educate us per how to become a great president without actually becoming the president, without political parties and platforms to run under.
The topic must be an exercise in futility or just lamentation.. Start from counting one, before counting two. This topic is about those Igbos that have the capacity to lead Nigeria out of the jungle, not those that will end up another Buharri who will cause trouble to the economy of the country. The keyword here is Great. |
Politics › Re: 10 South East Igbos Who Can Be Great Nigerian Presidents by SLAP44: 12:40am On Sep 10, 2019 |
UdechiHD: Igbo support alone won't produce the President. I like Onyeama as a person and if APC picks him for Presidency no problem. But such is a mirage. The likes of Rochas may get the nod even before Onyeama.
No region can produce the Presidency on it's own without the support of other regions. Buhari's emergence as President in 2015 is a pointer to this fact. What the topic is, is about Igbos that can make GREAT presidents, not Igbos other tribes can support. Please adhere accordingly. |

plaindealer: This is so redundant, it's like putting the cart before the horse.
The PDP you follow follow is not interested in any candidate from the SE, in 1999, they zoned to the North.
In 2023, they again zoned to the North.
So, of what relevance is any candidate and all the people you are parading and fighting over?
The PDP is not stupid, any candidate or even running mate from the SE is not a winning combination, abi is their any reason why the PDP refused to reward you with the presidency for your loyalty and votes election after election?
You people are hard learners. Obviously, you didn't read the topic. Open another topic to lament about your party politics. Allow us enjoy ourselves here. Bye. |

UdechiHD: I have already rebuked the OP by his biased removal of Rochas, Kalu and Nnamani. You don't talk about national politics without these names currently. Rochas is not an Igbo man. |
Politics › Re: 10 South East Igbos Who Can Be Great Nigerian Presidents by SLAP44: 12:32am On Sep 10, 2019 |
UdechiHD: Onyeama is a good option for President. I think the APC may see him as a viable flagbearer for their party. Him, Ngige, Akabueze and Nnamani are members of the party and they can become prized asset to the South East. Their elevation for Presidency in the APC still a win win for the South East. Of course, because he is a pushover like Jonathan and even Osinbajo. Kingmakers want stooges they can throw out like they did to Ambode. Igbos cannot support such people. |

astrodome: I may be wrong, but from his argument he seems clearly Igbo. However, he seems to be fixated on Ngige and hateful of Obi, whereas he should have an open mind to any viable candidate. He clearly is not Igbo, anyone who is would be picking the right candidate. Enemies will always pick wrong choices. |

You should be arguing with facts, not fiction and emotion. You must understand, some of those people you reply to are not even Igbos. Some are just here to cause mischief. |

No sane human being will recommend someone who has no recourse to decency and futuristic approach with the peopy.
The people are the economy not the other way.
The people can't be suffering and you claiming to be audacious.
No wonder una governor's plays with una instincts at will.
Development starts with people, if not the economy is useless. You are either trying to be mischievous, or you don't understand anything about leadership. You are clearly talking out of sense, and I don't think i can help you. |

MelesZenawi: I don't deal on mediocrity because his raging bull can't do anything for Nigeria...
As for been audacious, you can also lie to high heaven's. It takes an audacious man to look at his state's limitations and still jump on top of over 20 huge projects and still dragging all of them along nicely to the surprise of everyone. The man is the most courageous leader I have seen in the recent past. |

GavelSlam: I wasn't the only one that watched the debate.
By the way, you cannot assure me. I also watched the debate, and with all due respects to the current VP, Peter Obi cleaned him out. What he offered was practical solution based on his years as a business mogul. That was the right thing to say. You cannot shut the country down just because you want to chase corrupt people. If you shut your business down to chase thieves, you might not have a business left by the time you return. How is that strong point a support of corruption? |

MelesZenawi: Is not everything that Worth's arguing..
Umahi is not yet seasoned because he uses a sterotype approach which we all know..
He can go to Senate is okay..
Is only people that knows the priority and yearnings of people that I place as been deserved not projects at the detriment of the people..
You start from bottom to top not the other way round.
There are much propaganda attached to him. Umahi has one thing going well for him, he is AUDACIOUS. He has this fearless attitude that can break down any problem. The man is a raging bull. This man can dare to move Nigeria with the speed it deserves . |

olu77: Impressive list in my opinion. Who will bell the cat? In other words who will vote someone that has sense? People will rather vote Deziani if she contest against any of this credible - to some extent - options. They will be like 'she has repented, she used to be a thief but she is now a saint.' Deziani has been rich even before she was unfortunate enough to handle Nigerias petroleum ministry. And her ministry fed the nation to riches. Since she left, you have been borrowing. |

MelesZenawi: Umahi is simply a media governor.
In circles of what is really happening, they know better than you do..
That he puts up flyover and flag off flaggables is not critery...
For now, he is a media governor and doesn't stand any chance...
Governors that plays on the instinctd of masses are simply jokes.. Which Nigerian politician is not a media governor? At least Umahi has a lot of already commissioned projects despite his lean purse. |
