Famocious: Lookman is a fantastic player with a lot of speed and skills. Don't know why he's yet to see a minute in Everton 's color this season.
If he end us switching his nationality to Nigeria, not sure Rohr knows how to use him. Can't understand his situation at Everton. I think the coach may see him as not yet mature for the big stage. |

Ighalo seems to be on a mission. He was no smiles while coming and he didn't look like a guy lacking in confidence but I wouldn't call yesterday's performance a mind changer because they didn't do much.
I was most impressed with Ola Aina. Seems to have lost a bit of weight and not only did he score 2 belters he looked more comfortable defensively.

The Igbo people in Lagos are so many! Gosh it's unbelievable. They are every where! Damn. What is 15%? Mhen,I put them at an impressive 40% or thereabouts.
P.S: Anyone who stays in Lagos and is honest won't even scratch his head to come up with that 40% estimate. |

[s] AtaniWarrior: Exactly. The Pan Igbo identity is recent. We come from different areas. Nri, Aguleri, and other groups belonging to the UmuNri/UmuEri lineage were originally from Igalaland. Several other Northern Igbo groups have ancestral ties to the Middle Belt. Just like some Western Igbo groups were originally from non Igbo groups in Midwestern/Western Nigeria and some Eastern Igbo groups are from the Cross River/Cameroon area. There are also many Igbo groups that may have been in present day Igboland for thousands of years. [/s] |

ChrisKels: A lion in China and pussy cat in Nigeria
According to a CSL journalist, Here is the reason Ighalo is a scumbag in the GWG;
"Ighalo is loved and respected by fans of his club but in the league he is viewed like any other player despite his current status as the second top scorer in the top division. His goals have a touch of luck and lack of finesse “
” This season he has scored seven times from the spot unlike last season, where only two of his 15 goals came from penalties. Beside Chinese teams don’t invest in defenders, so most times he is up against very poorly organised teams.
” His wealth of experience should not be discarded though but it appears the drop in his game at international level has a lot to do with the lack of competition he faces in China and the easy way which he scores against these school boy defenders unlike for Nigeria, where opponents of Nigeria’s national teams are drilled to defend when up against him” Finishing. |

charlesemeka85: Sunderland forward Josh Maja is reportedly a summer transfer target for three Premier League clubs.
The 19-year-old forward has made a blistering start to the season scoring nine goals in 12 League One matches.
Maja's goals have fired Sunderland up to third in the League One table and he currently sits top of the divisions goalscoring chart.
Unsurprisingly, his form has attracted potential suitors and a report in The Mirror this morning cites Southampton, Tottenham and reigning Premier League champions Manchester City as interested parties.
Maja is out of contract in the summer and if the Black Cats cannot tie him down to a new deal soon, they run the risk of losing him for a small compensation fee.
It is one of Sunderland's top priorities to sort out Maja's future with both the club and Jack Ross stating they want him to stay beyond this season.
Maja himself has admitted he would be open to negotiate a new deal but with big clubs sniffing, he is free to talk to other clubs in January before potentially leaving at the end of the season.
Speaking last month, he said: "It would help everybody if we could get a resolution before January.
"For the club and for him, it would help. You want the removal of any uncertainty, and if we can do that as a club it would help us and help Josh as well.
"Naturally his start to the season has just heightened the attention around him, so we want to make sure he stays here at Sunderland and that he plays a part in the clubs' ambitions.
"He'll have decisions to make when that comes around, but one thing I think about him is he is happy and enjoying his football.
"Hopefully, as a young man, he is not too much of a rush to get somewhere he may get to eventually if he keeps doing what he's doing."
Maja will miss tonight's Checkatrade Trophy clash with Carlisle with an ankle injury but is expected to be fit to return to the side for the trip to Shrewsbury later this month. This boy should be invited ASAP. If only to train. Very very important. Meanwhile I strongly advise the young man moves to Southampton. |

safarigirl: that is how you all called Mikel slowbie and bench warmer and accused him of killing all our games, today who is praise singing Mikel?
This idea of throwing people out anyhow is the reason we cannot have a decent national team. This Ahmed Musa everyone is praising was once the butt of jokes, he was once running around like a headless chicken with no end game. There was a time once Ahmed Miss holds ball, everybody go siddon because e no dey enter net.
Today, he is the one you people are using as example for Kelechi and Ighalo. Forgetting that he was once Kelechi and Ighalo, imagine if we had sent him out that time? Do you remember the numerous calls to have him axed? Do you remember when he was the one on the bench? The one whose inclusion was questioned? Today old things are passed away and Ahmed Musa is a hero.
You see what happens when a player is allowed to grow without throwing him away? The only reason why most people give Kelechi a pass over Ighalo is because of age. Kelechi is still fairly young, he can still grow, Ighalo is nearing the end and it is hard to see growth for someone close to 30.
This you people's throw them all out suggestion is poorly thought out considering you can't really find prolific strikers that are Nigerian. I am still waiting for AIG07 and his list of strikers that will replace Kelechi and Ighalo. Feel free to assist him I wonder who's throwing who out. Ahmed is a consistent baller for us today. We're happy. But was he thrown out then? No. Iheanacho is not a fringe player he is an integral part of the team nobody is throwing anybody out However, he can be relegated to the bench. |

AIG07: *smiles*
Let me remind you that the last time Nacho had a goal or assist for the SEs came last year November (that's 11 months) and if I'm not mistaken he has played in as many games as the SEs have played in the past months. That doesn't speak well for the caliber of talent he carries.
No doubt about is youthfulness and he still has a lot of years ahead of him. Don't you think 'excusing' him for sometime will do him a lot of good? Such exclusion may make him see reasons to work harder and come back to be relevant. Look at Musa for example. So many people wanted him out simply because he was in a dormancy state(he wasn't even getting game time but look how he grabbed the opportunity given to him and he played his way back into reckoning - presently he is an indisputable starter. But when it comes to Jude and Nacho na different story and what is good for the geese should also be good for the gander.
To be frank, I wasn't happy with Nacho's performance at the Mundial. Over pampering him and Ighalo won't help them at all.
One player Rohr hasn't been fair to is Simy. Of the two matches were he played 45 minutes or more, he was excellent, i.e against Congo and Liberia he hit the wood work once and scored in the other and now he has been dropped without us seeing what he can offer. Rohr has not been fair in the way he has been dealing with his players.
I believe if anyone is to be dropped for a new striker (Success), it should have been one of Ighalo and Iheanacho and not Simy.
Ighalo scored via penalty in his last game after missing so many begging chances, Nacho on the other hand hits the upright from a free kick(the highlights of their performances in 11months) No Nigerian players(strikers) has experienced such pampering like this two have enjoyed. This is what we called double standards which in turn promotes mediocrity.
Calling for them to be excused if they fail to deliver (which I don't pray) in the double header against Libya isn't too much to ask for.
Note:Had Tammy, don the GWG and performed below par just like these two and gets similar treatment as the above players, I am so sure that the cry of Nepotism and Favoritism will fill the social media pages.

safarigirl: in which recent times?
When he played Liverpool and helped Leicester get an equalizing goal he was also piss poor abi?
You people should go and knack your head on the wall if Iheanacho praise is giving you brain aneurysms. When we are here praising Success or Osimhen, problem, we praise Iheanacho too, problem. So, we should not encourage him? Last season when this same Iwobi was getting flack from Arsenal fans, we were here pitying him and talking about how to lift his spirits. Where were you?
Iheanacho today is better than Iheanacho four months ago. If you were actually watching with clear eye, you would know, but you people are suffering from selective amnesia. The boy is improving, he may have a few bad games, but that is football. Salah that scored up to 40 goals last season is looking for goals this season, but some people said he is not to be spoken ill of, but Iheanacho is fair game to anybody who wants to make it in life.
I cannot even respond when certain hypocrites write about Iheanacho, because their hands are usually riddled with leprosy when he plays well and they only become healed the day he has a bad game. Some people die inside everytime Kelechi plays well and then ressurect when he doesn't.
All of you dragging the boy never reach, face the wahala in your yard and leave this baby boy for us. Even on a bad day, the pikin still register assist and you want to tell us there is no anointing oil on his head Let's watch and see how Iheanacho keeps up. More young talents are coming up,if he continues in this trend it won't be a case of the only available becoming the desirable. We'll leave it be. |

AIG07: One thing that irks me most is our inability to learn from our past mistakes and we are hell bent on repeating them all over again and we expect to make progress.
SMH.
Prior to 2014 worldcup and post 2013 AFCON our strikers then(Emenike and Ideye) were experiencing goal drought we kept faith with them and were expecting a miracle from them at the Mundial. Late Keshi then dropped Ideye for a certain Shola Ameobi(a player who had 1 professional goal in 2years). These two players were preferred ahead of a red hot Obagoal who was turning heads in the MLS for Seattle Sounders. We all knew how the whole thing panned out. We qualified cos of luck and nothing more(to those who will like to dispute that should remember that, had Dzeko's goal had not been ruled for offside, your guess is as good as mine)
Fast forward to 2018 same scenerio played out both Ighalo and Kelechi were poor for the national team and we were all hoping they will hit form at the World Cup. You and I know how that too ended.
My major concern now is us sticking to these guys despite them not delivering post Russia the way we did with Emenike. Someone needs to sound some notes of warning to Rohr. We seem to be towing the same part again.
The federation too are not exempted from this attitude. They toyed with Alaba in 2007 today it is Eze I just hope we won't look back and regret it.
Make I stop here jare.
I'll like both Ighalo and Nacho to be excused from the national team if they both fail to deliver this coming double header. No one has the sole ownership to the national team.
Wishing them all the best. I hope you do champagne my good man.

TheLoneCitizen: Iheanacho is a flash player, he is the kind of player who will score an hattrick and still get an average match rating. He shows moments of brilliance and not all-through solid performance. So when he has bad days, he completely disappears. My brother you see ehn we're in a situation national team wise, where we're getting a lot of talents coming through. The space for slacking is becoming very small. We can't take it anymore because it will be an injustice to some other young talents if golden boy is not performing but you keep playing him. |

Iheanacho currently has a place behind the striker in the super eagles 4-5-1 formation. Based on form,Iwobi is good to go,probably he can take that spot though not his normal position. (Success up front). If in the future Eberechi Eze is capped and Nacho is still doing this thing he's doing, all things being equal he can fly to the bench. |

chrisooblog: iheanacho definitely has a lot of improving to do but i have to admit i've noticed a trend where if he plays well some monikers were too busy to see him play but when he plays badly hey presto suddenly the schedule would magically be free to see how badly KC played. If you look at it objectively, there are people who are obviously tribalistic or bias towards analyzing player performance. If those people only criticize Nacho when he has a bad game that can be overlooked because they are overtly tribalist,to the point of being silly (not that I personally have a problem with someone being tribalist if they can still use their brain).. However, that a few are tribalist does not mean the other people should worship a piss poor player to the point of cyberbullying others into resignation. That is so wrong. 2 wrongs don't make a right and I say Bleep them Iheanacho worshippers! Iheanacho has been poor over a number of games both for club and country. He notably stood out in that Huddersfield game. They can bow to Iheanacho 10 times a day facing the east, their fucking business. Iheanacho can do much better,I'm not cutting him no slack anymore with that much potential and at this current level. |

Curtisaxel7: Iheanacho worship is a big problem I've noticed on this thread. It's a Nacho cult here. Everybody is bullied and cajoled into supporting Iheanacho. Persons deemed anti-Nacho are vilified and attacked for daring to question the god Nacho. Ask Forgiveness and Komekn.
The law here is "Nacho can do no wrong". If he can't make the match day squad, it's because his coach is racist and hates him, if Maddison wins the MOTM ahead of Nacho, it's because he is English and Nacho isn't. If he has a bad day, nobody dares mention it. If Ighalo scores in a goal, he is insulted because he "failed at the WC" as if Nacho tore the WC apart with goals.
Sentiment will kee you people.
Keep on worshipping the guy who was elected world worst striker if you want, for me, until he improves, Ighalo and Success are ahead of him. Iheanacho is a decent player on his day but in recent times has been piss poor. Absolutely. Don't let any sick fool bully you. Look at Iwobi. Look at Ekong. Look at Eberechi Eze getting called up by the English youth team. Look at Samuel Chukwueze making the step up to the Villarreal senior team. Look at the resurgent Success, is he not Nacho's age mate? Okay look at Osimhen,√ the young man has picked up the pieces and is doing very well. Look at Musa at Nassr. These are players who are keeping it real. Except that Huddersfield game where he really stood out, Iheanacho currently❌ |
