Online application: 2nd August
Biometrics: 4th August
Sheffield mail: 17th August
Decision & collection mail: 31st August
My visa was granted today when I got to the collection centre.

@christisam..though your question isn't clear enough but I think I still understand you. There's no problem having money in the account for months before application but what's required of you is to print a recent statement with the required cash reflecting a 28 days period and not more than 31days. If this was what you did then your question " went on to apply has network issues but when it finally went through banks had closed for the day so I printed for it the next day". Then that's not an issue at all.

@Jblade.. The right word would be Faith and not safe. Have faith that all will be well. Be positive. But if you really wanna use the word safe? Safe is going by the rules which says hold the required cash for 28 days before application not the other way round. Becos after ur successful online application the ECO would count 28 days backward on ur statement to see if the required money is available and didnt drop below what was required. Becos those people are looking for any little mistake and we shouldn't give them such. You should have just waited one more day and be on the safe zone. That is print account on 29th and application too on 29th. But I believe all will be well bro

@christisam... My knowledge on this is that the transaction(s) done on either accounts isn't necessary, what's necessary is that any of the account should hold the required money for 28 days before application is made. As at today £7,000 is 3,215,820 @459 exchange rate.

I need clearance on my bank statement, the money I need to show for my maintenance is £7000 as I have a scholarship that covers tuition and part of my accommodation, I have two different statements which I can use one is comprehensive shows a lot of transactions but it never galled below 9million while the other was printed out 2day has 4 million meets the requirements and few transfers in and out and has never dropped bellow 4m, please I need an answer which may lead to my final question thanks.

@jblade.. Nah . That's not true. My bro first application was rejected based on what u said not until he waited after the 28 days and applied again tht he was then granted the visa.

You can even apply online during the 28days count and choose a later day for interview after which the 28days count is completed

@RemMag.. That's an expensive error for an ECO to make. Something is wrong some where. Probably your 28days count wasn't complete before you printed out the statement of account or you did your online application during the 28 days count or maybe the required cash dropped during the 28 days count. That's all I can think of.

I would really advice you to go for priority visa becos with the testimonies I have recently read from applicant who applied with standard since July and up till now are still awaiting their visa decision. and even some that used priority had to wait for 15 - 18 days. There's currently high volume of application at this period.

@somD.. I can help with the first question becos I'm also in the same shoes. I will complete my 28days on the 11th of sept. But two things she needs to do. 1. During the application process she has to go for priority visa
2. She should email the school and request for a 2weeks extension after resumption..
And has for your second question,@justwise and @mimilyrics are in best position to clarify it.

Guys please can anyone help me answer this question. I really don't know much about UK student visas but i have a friend who is troubled. I wish i could read every thread one by one but i really can't as I need an answer asap. Please her course starts 18th of September in the UK. She has been on her 28 day count and by 9th of September the account will be ready. Please guys for a course starting 18th of September, is it too late? Secondly, while she was trying to sort out her tuition deposit the account dropped by £500, but it was replaced in less than 24 hours. Will that be a problem? Actually it was replaced by more than the £500 that left the account that day. Guys pleaseeeee help my friend. She's panicking.

I'm really getting scared about my acct, fearing I might make a mistake. Those who have successfully passed my stage should pls render assistance oooo biko.
I'm going to attach sample statement of my acct. View it and let me know ur view becos I got a very strange advice.
NB: I initially thought the 28 days counting should start on the 12th of aug(though I deposited the fund on the 11th). Since that's when the opening balance of the 8m I deposited on the 11th of aug would reflect at the top of the statement but someone said no I have to start the 28 days the first day the actual fund for the tuition and maintenance fee reflect in the statement.
If this be the case, I transferred the fund on the 11th and reflected that very day but the issue is that the opening balance for that day is zero--.
Pls what's the right direction? When am I to print out this statement?

I didnt have a choice, I had to remove a large chunk of it once I printed out my statement. Some people say they don't ask for the acct balance when verifying, just the authenticity of the account and some transactions.

Kindly help share your personal experience as I'm really anxious.

Help me with this.. My 28days started counting on the 12th of this month, when i'm I excepted to print out the statement? I really wanna avoid any mistake.

Secondly, an agent Told me last week that is not all student visa application they organise interview for? I was like hmmm...

I thought the uk visa policy says 28days? As for me I believe that shouldn't be a big deal. 2014 I remember my bro removed the cash immediately after 28 days and he was granted visa.

sposorship letter u mean? thats if you are been sponsored by your parents or guardians and ull also need to provide your birth certificate if you are been sponsored by parents

Your school is only trying to protect their license and image as many students who claimed to have the money actually are not genuine students

You have to wait for the 28days counting then send a copy to them so as to get your CAS.

When you get here you will understand why some schools are putting some strict rules in place to safeguard their reputation.

You'd have to do as they say. That's the norm to prevent the loss of their licensing due to visa applications declined as a result of funding issues. My school did not release my CAS till they saw my financial doc.

Sorry about that. Unfortunately you may not have any other choice, this is so because the school is going to stand as a 'Sponsor' throughout your stay in the UK, which somewhat means that they are responsible for you so they also need to be sure that you actually have the financial capability to sustain yourself in the UK.
Same happened to but Thank God i still had about 3 full months. I had to wait for 28days, sent my official bank statement to the school before they issued a CAS

Please I mailed my school requesting for my cas. The screen shot was their response. I thought immediately after the 28 days count i'm to apply for visa immediately without any delay but in my case my school is saying after the 28 days I should print out the statement of account and send to them before they can issue my CAS to me. This i'm worried because the school ain't good at responding to mail on time, it could even take 5 days before getting a feedback..
Please what do you guys think I should do?
