gionee is a company tht has gone very far.. i never asked for ur opinion on whether u wanted to buy d e3 of a+..keep tht to urself...

if u also go thru my posts , u would see me making inquries about thl phones and flashin roms.. u would also see photos of my tecno phone...

guy stick to ur tecno, na u sabi.. as for me and my family, we are moving to greater tinx..

huwaei is also chinese., thl is also chinese, xiaomi is also chinese... so is gionee... but all these are chinese products tht are recognized world wide and internationally.. xda recognizes all these, gsm arena also recognizes all these phones... but i hav never had any support on my tecno...

i love my tecno phantom a+phone alot... but i no dey ever ever challenge my elders...

since u are too good in bringing out posts, pls check there and see pics of my tecno for proof...

and i think the o.p shouldnt have added gionee to that list,, cox gionee has gone very very far..

i checked out d gionee e3 , e5 and e6 online.. all had very good sophisticated qualities.. they were also very much recognised in the U.S, india, china, and by the french..

im planning on porting to gionee or htc soon..
when im done with my phantom a+

and gionee goes by the company name BLU.

4peace: you flash it same way you flash rom , let just say immediately after flash miui v5, you should flash it
But all that is not necessary when flashing from chinese firmware.

4peace: Reason for the warning from the developer it was because the rom is Odex not Deodex which means remove/add one or two apps may result to lagging,bootlop etc
It is just like your stock rom,me and you know that you can remove all chinese crap just like that without causing problem to your camera app,way to go is deodex the rom which is useless with this Miui v5

Boot.img is it necessary or not?
if you want to port rom on your own is necessary but if using rom ported or make for your phone it is not necessary,so with this Miui v5 for E3 dont worry yourself on boot img.

i install this rom from chinese firmware without boot image and it work very well.

Meanwhile a user @king on xda posted for people flashing from india/international http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2306384&d=1381069923
just flash it along your miui v5 file.


On battery life
if your battery is not calibrated you may have issue of poor discharge on this rom.

Godvilla: [color=olive]U can install custom roms via the international firmware BUT the procedure is technical so i'll advice u use the Chinese firmware.
2ndly, Instruction was crystal clear "DO NOT UNZIP ROM"
Just follow the necessary protocol 2 flash the rom.
Goto advance restore and restore the boot.img of the default rom u created via CWM backup.
Go Back 2 the main menu and Rebbot ur device.............
Simple and straight 4ward!!![/color]

thnx alot bro for d response.. pls im still confused a lil.. i think i knw how to flash in d custorm rom while on international firmware, but pls the developer made mention of never unzipping the rom, pls my question is, hw do i edit d files inside d rom with my stock files, witout unzipping d rom? pls is there a software i would use or app? i cant make any changes , like putting in boot.img into d rom witout unzipping it first..

and secondly bro, pls d mui v5 dosnt have a boot .img file, so do i go ahead and still put my stock boot.img file into it?? if yes, pls under which folder?

Ive never seen any phone as inferior as long as it meets ur needs. Currently using an S3 and a galaxy duos though.

BlackBerry was slated to launch BBM for
Android and iOS last weekend. But as if the
Waterloo-based smartphone pioneer hasn't
faced enough challenges recently, its launch
was a massive flop.
"Last week, an unreleased, older version of
the BBM for Android app was posted on
numerous file sharing sites. This older
version resulted in volumes of data traffic
orders of magnitude higher than normal for
each active user and impacted the system in
abnormal ways," Andrew Bocking, the
executive vice president of BBM, explained
of the mishap on BlackBerry's blog. "The
version we were planning to release on
Saturday addressed these issues, however we
could not block users of the unreleased
version if we went ahead with the launch."
Despite this fail—which has yet to be resolved
—BlackBerry still decided to show off BBM
for Desktop during its BlackBerry Jam Asia
2013. In Hong Kong, Chris Smith, VP of
Application Platform at BlackBerry,
demonstrated on a Windows PC what BBM will
look like for the desktop.
The brief demo was not accompanied with
any sort of release date.
It's also been widely rumoured that a BBM
for Mac app is also in the works; again,
however, details remain scarce.
