thanks for that pixel2life.com link. it is really helpful. nothing can be like dreamweaver. macromedia is always good(only that their deal with adobe may spoil that). Microsoft is nothing but name. (dont misunderstand me windows and ofice series are superb) but for other programs....they are just struggling to do something. frontpage is for my baby brother. |
It pains me to read through and discover there is no mention of John Grisham. There is none like him. Maybe you guys should trying picking up a Grisham. Sidney Sheldon is second only to him. Danielle Stelle would have been like them if she had put up a little more effort |
I had always ridden lagbaja and his 'under construction website' until i decided to check it out today and i was really impressed. pls if anyone knows the guys who designed it, i would like to be an apprentice under them. |
I have often wondered why everybody seem to criticise every government. imagine my shock on sunday when a pastor said all the governors are theives. does that mean there is no room for good leadership? |
Japan realised the power within them after the war and that is why Japan is a world power. Nigeria would develop if and only if we realise the power within us and stop chasing policies that don't work. the IMF is not African and so cannot understand African thoughts and ideologies. Until we are still trying to use the same means as the western world, we would still remain 'developing' to the western world. |
I guess that question is a bit fundamental. These two are both great authors but in different lights. While Achebe writes to highlight the problems of different epochs in the African society, Soyinka's writing seems more to me like an attempt to impress (how else could one describe -The Interpreters; although Ake, Isara and Ibadan are quite managable, probably because they are a biographical). A novelist describes the society in words while an author endeavours to impart knowledge. I would call Achebe a better novelist and Soyinka a better author. |
