Driver’s Job Description
1. Take instructions from supervisor regarding each day’s deliveries or pick / drop services
2. Take stock of designated vehicle and ensure that it is road worthy
3. Check tires, engines and seatbelts to ensure that they are in good working order
4. Make-certain that the vehicle’s fluids are at optimal levels
5. Clean car seats, rugs, dashboards and mats on a daily basis
6. Provide assistance with luggage and boarding to passengers
7. Mentally chart out best possible route to reach desired destination
8. Make use of maps and the GPS to assist in charting out actual routes
9. Maintain professional decorum during commute time
10. Pick and drop company professionals from /to desired destinations
11. Make deliveries by maintaining correct knowledge of destinations and concerned contacts
12. Assist in unloading packages and delivering to customers’ doors
13. Provide customers with receipts and take signatures
14. Inform customers if delivered packages hold fragile contents
15. Take and forward any complaints made by customers to the supervisor
16. Drive back vehicle to the company by following strict timeline rules
17. Change tires and make minor adjustments or repairs to engine or vehicle body during, before and after transit
18. Perform general and preventative maintenance on vehicle by following scheduled timings
19. Take vehicle to washing areas or wash them according to specific instructions
20. Handle maintenance of vehicle air conditioning and heating systems
