This my friends was what president Jonathan was saying when he said that MEND was not responsible. Because he knows them!. In the Creeks, their command chain. Question, If Political Parties can splinter and form factions, with INEC recognizing only a faction, and some people calling themselves party execos. Is it far fetched that some guy call Jumo Gbomo or whatever can use someone else's funding to perpetrate these acts and claim to be MEND. All am saying is that GEJ was not entirely wrong when he said that the MEND HE KNOWS was not responsible for the attacks. Can we trust that as Commander-In-Chief and Ex-Militant supporter he is privileged to some top secret intelligence that even the smart speculators on NLD do not possess. i.e Foreign Govt intels. The same intels that predicted the bomb plots also knows the plotters and the money trails. Just saying: |
The former overall commander of MEND, Government Ekpomopolo (Tompolo) said the organization was not involved in the act. “I am the leader of MEND. We are not part of the incident of October 1st. MEND is not involved. I am the owner of MEND. We are going to work with you to save this country Nigeria for everyone,” he said. The leader of the delegation and President of Ijaw Youth Council, Karomema Mabiye also said the killings were not done as part of the struggle of Niger Delta people. “We reject such incident and we say that the Niger delta people are no way in support of that kind of attitude,” he said. “Let it go from here and let it go to the entire world, particularly because we read in the media that it was MEND. All the leaders of MEND and all other organisations say that MEND was not responsible for that bomb blast. Our struggle is a responsible struggle, our struggle is a mortal struggle and our struggle is struggle for fairness, justice and equity”. Rule of engagement Also speaking at the press briefing hall of the presidential villa where Mr Jonathan received the ex-militants, Victor Ebikabowe (Boyloaf) told the audience which included Vice President Namadi Sambo and other top federal government officials that the group condemns the act. “MEND is not responsible. We have disarmed. We say to the world, these people claiming they are MEND are impersonating. It is a terrorist act. The people responsible for the act should be dealt with accordingly,” he said. Asari Dokubo, a former militant leader said the day of the bombings was the saddest day in the lives of most if not all of them. “I cried when I heard it, because I never expected it to happen and let it not be associated with the people of the Niger Delta,” he said. “We may have different political opinion, but that does not mean that we do not know our root. We are not going to sell our patrimony. We will not do it. “We represent the people of Niger Delta, our past leaders who have died in the process of this struggle, such as Ken Saro wiwa, and others will be turning in their graves that somebody who claims that he is part of us will do that. We call on the government to investigate properly and fish out those involved and give out the most appropriate punishment. Let there be no leniency”. |

@ Fxstyl: I guess u'r a proponent of Capitalism which variably equall to Explotativeness. Capitalism gave you Glo, MTN, Multilinks, Ability to work, if you find it and keep your money for yourself, open your own business and set your price. While socialism gave you Zimbabwe and the mess that it is. Please do not knock capitalism, even communist china, has discovered the good in a capitalist society. Redistribution of wealth does not work. Never have, never will. Nigeria needs to manage their resources well and tackle corruption head on. Punish the perpetrators. The US dose not make mistakes? How can we be so naive, Mutallab was flag by his dad and was put on the watch list, yet his visa wasnt revoked and he wasn't banned. Somebody said something about Bin laden relatives in the states. This same US govt that is almighty and never does wrong, allowed 13 bin laden relatives to live in Alexandria Virginia, even after the world trade center bombing of 1993 and US embassy bombing in Kenya and Tanzania in "98 with osama claiming responsibity untill 2001 when they were evacuated and not banned or even prosecuted. Quote.:bin Laden family - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia At least 13 relatives of Osama bin Laden, accompanied by bodyguards and associates, left the United States on a chartered flight with Ryan International, read on en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bin_Laden_family - Cached - Similar @Chi9ja, my point is leave the kids out of it. and prosecute the thieves (their father if found to have committed any crime should go to jail!). For your information, Mini coopers like any car can be bought with a good credit financing in the west. We dont know. Second point. the USA is not always right!!!!! In Nigeria, you have people drive range rovers and wear designers yet their parents are not politicians. Please explain. Should they all be prosecuted? Please people leave the Children out of this!!! |
For your Information Aondokaa was already a wealthy man years before Yaradua thought about running for Kastina State Governor. His law firm has been legal counsel to few multinationals and Banks both in Nigeria and South Africa. Yes he became corrupt while in power. (African Culture). I say Bar Him! But for Liz and Ann? Please these two brilliant girls are in school on scholarship check your records saharareports.com and stop spewing hatred and lies. The only thing their mum pays for is room and board. She of course is estranged from their dad. Ann has a job in surrey whiles she goes to school. She doesn't drive a Ferrari, but Mini Cooper. Please people direct your hatred where is suppose to be. Your forefathers sold their brothers into slavery just almost 400 years ago, should you still be punished for their sins? or does the bible give a time frame of vesting the sins of the father on their children, even estranged ones. Its the same spermatozoa that created all the kids right?. Please my point is Leave The Kids Out of This! |
