Eraytee:
With your profile above, you nailed it. Just submit your prayers too, TRV is on the way....
Many thanks @Eraytee. With all the things I have read on this thread, I have no doubt prayer is key - So, I prayed.

LightandDarkness:
Your profile is beautiful and you seem like the ideal candidate for a PhD. Your refusals may not hurt you as they were 5 and 7 years ago plus you have visited first world countries afterwards and retuned. I hope you didn't hide your refusals. Best of luck with your application sir/madam.
I declared the refusals and made further explanation in my SoP. Hopefully, it shall end in praise!

With this your profile, who am i to comment on your queries. Lol in any event, I go talk ma own. cool cheesy

Your previous refusals will not affect your study permit application. Except you were classed/categorized as inadmissible in Canada due primarily to Misrepresentation, Submitting Forged/Fake documents and/or Security concerns. In absence of the above, then you should worry less about the previous refusals. I hope you declared the refusals in your study permit application form anyway? If not, then you should be aggressively apprehensive about the outcome of your application.

Since your Family lives in Nigeria now legally, I'd worry less about family ties to Nigeria. Did you include any personal asset in your application aside from the liquidated funds in your account?
Yes bro. I indeed declared the previous refusals (which refusals I got owing to my naivety). I included 2 of my landed properties and shares certificates. I also stated that I run a book publishing firm which is extra source of funding - I included CAC certificates for the coy.

Good evening Gurus in the house. I have been a silent follower of this thread and truly appreciative of the efforts to provide solutions to each other’s concerns. Perhaps Osemigho can now add me to the list of TRV Hopefuls. I submitted my TRV application on 26 April 2017 (online) and did biometrics on the next day. Got PhD in Law admission at Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario) with guaranteed funding of $20,000 CAD for 3 years, to commence in September 2017. Submitted a personal account of almost 4M, with letter of introduction from employer, copies of previous visas, academic certificates, land documents, shares certificates, CAC documents of private company (which I operate as PP, lol). Married with two kids – wife and kids to remain in Nigeria. Other documents…

Was on secondment to a city law firm in London for four months in 2015

Concerns
Please gurus in the house, can my previous refusals re visiting visa applications affect my study permit application. Also I disclosed that my children were born in the US. Can this have a negative effect on my application – particularly home ties, although my kids were brought back immediately after delivery and are with me here in Nigeria?
Many thanks for your responses Sirs/Mesdames.
