Yes, the bank statement is good and Yes you should go with the toefl, printout will do. A study leave will do a lot of good. It should indicate you will be back to your current job. Also, know the added benefit you will get from the UG course which will be beneficial to your current job.

@ free R1,
Thanks for your contribution, you are such a gr8 tutor. what about the low grade I have in TOELF, does that pose any treat? Secondly, should I get a waiver letter from the institution to support my claims?

9. NYSC Certificate
10. statement of account of my Dad worth 18.3M although it is a joint account with my mum. can I use that. with letter of sponsor from my dad.

I did TOELF but the score is low (69) and my skool require 45, although my skool waive both TOELF and SAT due to the fact that I have ND & HND which is equivalent to BSc in the US and all the courses were thought in English. Should I go to the embassy with the result or not? more so, I didn`t have the original copy of the result. Can I print out the online copy and go with it?

Do I need anything like study leave cos am working with a company in Benin city right now. IDSL a subsidy of NNPC.

king1_00: I equally did pay my sevis fee sometimes last week, and 4 days after,my online status says 'paid' but receipt is still in process, though i have viewed and printed my online receipt. My possible Guess is that since its fall(major academic semester), it might take some time updating their records cause of the large number of applicants, most likely they are backlogged, so far you can print the online receipt, you should be fine for now.

@ King01 The problem is that my middle name was misspell.

You can try California state university system, however, be prepared for the funding and taking prerequisites which may result in an extra semester or year. If you're sure of funding, you may still get fall admission.

OjaP:

I am always happy whenever I see Geologists on here. There are many schools who will admit you for masters. I will only advise you not to submit your original transcript from OAU to the school. Instead, submit an evaluated one from WES, don't ask me why. The schools convert rubbish.....lol, all they do is simple maths and not evaluate the transcript course by course.

What is your GRE score? Well, a score of 1000 is fine. Most schools do not have the Petroleum Geology option, you may want to watch out for that. Abi na Hydrogeology you wan do?.....lol. California State University Northridge, Sacramento State University and City University of Newyork, City college will all give you a conditional admission with your 2.2 and a GRE of 1000. I have more schools to give if you want. Goodluck.

OjaP
thanks for the response broda. i took the new revised GRE and i had a total of 293 which is equivalent to exactly 1000 on the old one. please if u are chanced you could email me on more schools that are available. my email is hpacerlad111@yahoo.com. i would be glad if i could get into the system by january next year. thanks

Travel / Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part2 by smartmachine(m): 7:35am On May 28, 2012
You are right brother, the fact is making sure you are familiar with the way they ask questions.

gongo aso: @smart machine

Wow. . . such a long list of questions (60+)

If you are really coming to the US to study genuinely, you really do not have to prepare to answer such a long list of questions because during the preparation to gain admission, all of some of these questions, you will have answered or have imbibed in you by now.

As king01 wrote above, you just need to convince them you are going to school or remain in the US legally.

All the best to the folks on this thread.

Cheers
