Well CU isn't in UK and doesn't strive to behave like a UK university. It has her own community culture and ideology which should not be subjected to thoughts and norms of westernisation.

The idea that a Nigerian university located in Ota must conform to lifestyle of a British university reeks of intellectual colonialism.

U have stated here that CU doesn't strive to become like a UK university, but you forgot to limit your assertion to reflect that it doesn't strive to behave like a UK Uni in the code of decency it has as it's template. Cos in other aspects like innovative research and performance ratings of it's graduates it does strive to have a global brand like that of UK Unis or other top world Unis. If u had carefully looked at my last line statement, it addressed the issue of Nigerian universities being in our African setting which has its uniqueness based on our moral values.

Very hilarious. Meanwhile during my postgraduate degree programme in a UK Uni, there was no appearance nor dress code. Loads of persons wore shorts, winter jackets, even leggings. Some white dudes had earrings on. And this was in a very professional medical programme. The African society is just a different one.

Sometimes I hear people thanking God that Nigeria doesn't suffer natural disasters and I laugh, cos the man made disasters we suffer from is terrible. Since we are very religious, U.S ban will not be enough, its like God will begin to place sanctions like the repatriation of these corrupt Nigerian evil men from earth to hell very quickly before country will change. Covid 19 has already repatriated some of them.

Nigeria has officially been added to the same Whatsapp and telegram group with Somalia, Afghanistan, Syria, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, South Sudan, and Yemen. Nobody is safe anymore, the economy is in shambles, Poverty is a top striker in Nigeria and has scored so many goals, while corruption has the biggest embassy in the country. The situation is very heartbreaking so much so that you need a mic to pray for God to hear you cos there is so much noise caused by wailing in the land. The country is just in a mess.

Elections didn't begin in Nigeria in 2019. There is no Nigerian politician who directly or indirectly hasn't been involved in a rigging process, so Saraki cannot be exempted from being alien to rigging since the inception of democracy.

US And Uk or even the EU isnt the end of the world.

As for asset, many of these politicians use shell companies to buy houses abroad, infact, many dont invest their money in the US and EU again, they are shifting everything to Dubai and capetown.

A ban is a waste of time. Only poor people and people that don't understand systems are happy.

If you understand Intl relations between countries you'll know that most top nations in the world share information with their allies, including travel restrictions and sanctions placed on any individual/group/nation. If you've ever processed a visa to a developed country, you'll be asked to state the countries you've previously resided in, and if you've ever had a visa rejection. Look, the world powers can cripple anyone they wish to at anytime. You can only console these insane politicians online, but those who have been affected by this ban know the gravity and implications, and won't be in their best mood right now.

This ban that has been activated by the USA will soon spread to all U.S allies, and someday they'll discover that their intl passport will only be able to take them to Cotonou.
