It's not the end of the world mate! Most of us have lost it at some point in life especially during Uni days with all the distractions(freedom, girls,partying,smoking,drinking....). The good thing is you have already started the recovery process by opening up to your parents and thankfully they have accepted you back eventhough your mum was really disappointed and upset. I barely comment on social media but I was so touched by your story that I had to register on Naira land so I could share my thought with you as I was once in your position though I was addicted to drinking and womanizing and not gambling but I was lucky I came back to my senses jut before my final year. Hence, managed to graduate with a 3rd class. All you need do is to ignore all the negative comments and insults from friends, have a plan(start afresh without further delay), stay focused, try out other things like securing a visa to places like Canada.etc. I am a graduate of Chemistry with MBA, worked as a sales engineer for a scientific equipment sales company before I relocated to London and still had to up-skill in order to penetrate the job market here. I now work as a Clinical Research Lab Technician and most of those people who condemned me during my trying times now beg me for money. What I am trying to say is it's never too late to start afresh. Nobody is going to fix your life for you. You just have to get up and do it yourself. Wallowing in self pity and regrets won't help. You seem like a brilliant dude so get up and START NOW! |
