Politics › Re: Forensic Audit Uncovers N3.3 Trillion Inflated Figure In Fuel Subsidy Claims by smileyoo: 11:11am On Jun 10, 2024
It's an irony that Oga Bubu's government that came to power with the promises of fighting against corruption and cleaning up the system of governance, ended up enthroning corruption and totally messed up the whole system of governance.
We were shouting on top of our voices then, of the high level of corruption in that Bubu's APC government, but his useful online idiots where busy defending the looters, calling us wailing wailers.
now these APC government looters had successfully downgraded most Nigerians to wailing wailers, through hunger and chronic hardships, and they are not done yet.
If not for corruption in the fuel subsidy , that ought to be the easiest means of helping the masses, but they cleverly made Nigerians to believe that it benefits only the rich, which is pure deception, because since that subsidy is gone mantra, who is feeling the heat most- the rich or the poor ?
Instead of fighting against corruption in fuel subsidy, they decided to remove fuel subsidy, because it's difficult for them to fight themselves.
Politics › Re: Minimum Wage: Labour Knocks Governors For Rejecting ₦‎60,000 by smileyoo: 7:21pm On Jun 08, 2024
Both the FG and the state governments are highly insensitive to the plights of poor Nigerian workers, because #62k and 60k as national minimum wage makes no sense at all.
Ajero's NLC is just too dull , why calling off the strikes when you are not sure of the sincerity and commitment of the government , during the negotiations ?
indeed special breeds of heartless humans are presently ruling Nigerians.
Sports › Re: Super Eagles Players Were Silent During The National Anthem (Video) by smileyoo: 6:53pm On Jun 08, 2024
Funny thing is that most of these our old politicians are outdated and have nothing reasonable to offer Nigerians, that's why they prioritize backwardness in most of their policy implementations.
their major aim for grabbing power is for selfish aggrandizement, and the continuous maintenance of their dubious luxurious lifestyles, to the detriment of the suffering masses of Nigeria.
Changing the national anthem can not even solve any of the most mundane problem of Nigeria, yet emilokan government said that's their priority for now, meanwhile insecurities and hunger are presently decimating
Nigerians.
how clueless can a government be ?
Politics › Re: Tinubu Gets Bill On Regional Govt Next Week - PUNCH by smileyoo: 2:51pm On Jun 08, 2024
That's a nice one, if only emilokan government can actually return Nigeria to regionalism before 2027, tinubu will have my vote in the next election, and i will also campaign for him in the south east, during the elections, because this Will be a major restructure that can move Nigeria forward with fast paced development.
regional government will solve most of these problems that are presently confronting the nation.
but will those parasites that's holding down Nigeria accept such a major positive restructures that can benefit every Nigerian ?

These countries had better not start what they cant finish. When Hamas struck first where were they?
instead of making peace between Israel and Hamas by pressurizing Hamas terrorists, to release the hostages and surrender, and seek for ceasefire, then Israel will have no choice than to accept the peaceful dialogue over this crisis and stop further violence.
this killings need to stop, the innocent Palestinians have suffered too much, if the dead were only the terrorists, nobody will give a damn.

we still have more years to go.
even though you give emilokan 30 years, he is not going to achieve anything tangible.
hope the man that made the above assertion is not being prophetic ?
or else how can emilokan government be spending such huge amounts of money for the much vilified fuel subsidy and still have enough money to run his government and also have more to pil..... ?

confusedlady:
So why was he Ojukwus ambassador and special adviser at the beginning of the war?
it was all politics, he was never sincere with Ojukwu, that was why Ojukwu fell apart with Zik when he realized that zik was busy working against the Biafra struggle, and that was the reason Zik ran away from the Biafra enclave, because he felt no more safe there.
Politics › Re: Flashback: Why I Opposed Awolowo On Secession - Zik by smileyoo: 5:30pm On Jun 06, 2024

This is slightly not true,in the beginning of the Nigeria Biafra conflict Azikiwe was fully in support of Biafra in fact he was closely in cahoots with Odumegwu Ojukwu. It was half way through the conflict that Azikiwe abandoned Ojukwu and his Biafra pipe dream and jumped ship to join Gowon and started parroting Go on with one Nigeria....Azikiwe was always a very unstable character......
zik's initially pretense of supporting the Biafra struggle, was just politics, because he was never convinced of abaddoning his delusional Nigerian unity.
his passion was for Nigerian unity and never the actualization of the Biafra nation.

100%. He fled to Lagos. And was even using his influence to stop foreign supporters backing Ojukwu to back off. He called Biafrian soldiers "rebels".
The so-called zik of Africa was a very useless leader to us, even to the point of being a liability to us, because i learned that some foreign powers wanted to support the Biafra struggle and demanded zik's opinion before doing so, but the clueless zik of Africa downplay the Biafra struggle, as just a few ambitious rebels deceiving the people of the eastern region, that he stood for one Nigeria.

Hamas terrorists are actually cowards because they always hide behind the innocent Palestinians, while fighting against the Israelis, hence it's very difficult for IDF to defeat them; it's really sad because they are prolonging the suffering of the innocent Palestinians in Gaza strip.
Politics › Re: Flashback: Why I Opposed Awolowo On Secession - Zik by smileyoo: 10:03am On Jun 06, 2024
Indeed Mr Azikiwe contributed in placing us in this bondage like contraption called Nigeria because of his fanatical yet unrealistic believe in Nigerian unity as a nationalist, but 6 decades counting, his vision of Nigerian unity is still a mirage, proving chief Awolowo vindicated as a realist and a visionary leader.
even during the Biafra / Nigeria civil war, Mr Azikiwe was still sadly deluded by his personal conviction of the imaginary Nigeria unity, to the extent that he rigidly refused to lend any support to the Biafra struggle and the yearnings of our people, i wish he was still alive to see the precarious situation, that his illusion of imaginary national unity had placed upon the victimized citizens of Nigeria.
Indeed Awolowo was the best president that Nigeria never had.

Of course there is hunger everywhere in Nigeria, including south east. why is this any news when APC government under Oga Bubu and emilokan, had successfully downgraded Nigeria to the poverty capital of the world.
as for which of the region is more poorer than others, let the international community come and do the needful / ugly census.
Business › Re: FG To Suspend Import Duties And VAT On Food Items, Others by smileyoo:
This is a good move but will not solve the problem of food scarcity.
If this emilokan government can tackle the problem of national insecurities, especially against farmers across the nation, food scarcity will be a thing of the past, because Nigerians had always been taken care of their food needs, before all these useless bandits and heartless Fulani -herdsmen terrorists started killing innocent Nigerians especially farmers in their various farmlands across the nation, thereby drastically reducing the food production capacity of Nigerian farmers.
Those bandits and Fulani -herdsmen terrorists, that has been terrorising and killing Nigerians especially farmers must be treated as enemies of the state, that they are indeed.

He declared a strike yet workers went to office, only to start using cane on them, same act that got him beat up in imo state. Ask yourself, can Ajaero pay his gateman or driver 494k minimum per month?. Don't follow blindly, let's be reasonable.

-Kiss the truth!
if not for the
corruption in the system and the huge amounts that the political class are allocatting to themselves, the government can actually pay Nigeria workers #500.000 monthly minimum wage, without any stress.
Ok, let assume that they can't pay workers #500.000 minimum wage, they can bring it down to #200.000 or #150.000, but paying a worker with the family of 6 individuals #60.000 monthly minimum wage is inhuman to say the least.
how can a family of 6 individuals survive with #2.000 daily spendings, that's #334. 00
individual daily spending, even a house dog can't survive on that miserable amount.
The emilokan government should be realistic let them cut down on their extravagant way of running their government, all these bogus pay package to political appointees , and lawmakers, ought to be scrapped, then there will be enough funds to pay workers a reasonable minimum wage, because Nigerian masses are really suffering under emilokan government, more than ever before.
Politics › Re: Strike: Entrance, Exit To National Assembly Blocked By PASAN Members by smileyoo: 11:11am On Jun 03, 2024
Emilokan APC government is a certified evil government, if not how do they expect the Nigerian workers to survive with a monthly
minimum wage of #60.000 ?
#60.000 monthly minimum wage to a worker mean that a family of 6 should survive with the daily amount of only #2.000, i.e less than $1.5 dollar daily expense for a worker with a family of 6 individuals - mother, father and 4 kids, haba this emilokan government should be realistic, because #2.000 ÷ 6 = #335.00 .
can ordinary dog survive on a #335.00 daily spending, how much more a human being ?
These evil leaders find it very easy to live large on our collective resources, but find it very difficult to attend to the basic needs of the masses .
i support this strike by the NLC, because that's the only language that this insensitive government understand .

if this statement is from Simon ekpa, then the question of who is troubling the south east has been identified.
This means that the main stream ipob led by Nnamdi kanu had been telling the truth , that they are not responsible for the killings in the south east.
Therefore the emilokan government must go and apprehend Simon ekpa from Finland to come and face prosecution, instead of security agents harassing the innocent citizens of South East, struggling for survival under this harsh economic climate .

Politics › Re: Sit-at-home: Politicians Behind Killing Of Soldiers – IPOB by smileyoo: 2:13pm On Jun 01, 2024
LOVEALAIGBO:
IPOB are really naive if not stupid not to have foreseen this! I have warned countless number of times that any sit-at-home should be suspended until further notice! Reason being that those (non-Igbo) intent on hijacking the non-confrontational form of protest to cause mayhem and bloodshed are still not relenting in their malevolence! They have no scrupples in shedding blood to achieve their evil objective....more so when said blood is that of '2nd class Igbo slaves'! They want to teach Ndigbo in general and IPOB/Kanu in particular a lesson for daring to want to secede!

I was certain something like this would happen during the ill-advised sit-at-home, and i'm not surprised they chose Abia state to carry out their murderous plan! There's a noticeable trend: notice how anytime a south-east state is showing promise and making positive political and economic news, that's the state they will focus their murderous attention on! They have now left Anambra (all the senseless and inexplicable high-profile assasinations and murders they carried out in the state).....and with the coming of LPs Dr Alex Otti in Abia and all the positive developmental news coming from the state (improved power supply, infrastructural development, good governance, happy citizenry, etc), they have now focused on Abia state to try and create a hightened spate of insecurity and disrupt the good governance and the happiness of the citizens there! By murdering the soldiers, these evil vampires are hoping the army stupidly go in with all guns blazing and cause a downturn in the economy and positive investment climate Dr Otti has brought about in the state. They do this out of envy and the wickedness in their hearts and they have their agents planted on social media whose job it is to fill the entire media space with the falsehood that 'IPOB are going about murdering soldiers to enforce sit-at-home'! You can see how they've been at it on nairaland since yesterday! Suddenly, known Igbo-haters are now weeping more than the bereaved as they make countless posts and open thread after thread on 'how IPOB are destroying the south-east by murdering soldiers'!
you are absolutely right.
It's time that ipob must suspend this erroneous sit at home or make it a voluntary excercise, without any forceful mandatory supervision, to stop giving the criminals and the enemies of Ndi-Igbo the needed opportunity to perpetrate their criminalities in south east.
The earlier ipob cancel this erroneous sit at home the better for everyone in south east, because it's clearly a self- inflicting exercise.
Who says that we can't honor our fallen heroes without sit at home , and inflicting pains upon ourselves ?
