The Naira fell once again in the parallel market on Wednesday. It closed at 312 per dollar while a day earlier the Nigerian legal tender exchanged at 308 naira per dollar - this means a 4 naira loss in under 24 hours.

This happened moments ago in Uli, Ihiala LGA, Anambra State. According to the NGLatest reader (you are such a darling) who just sent this story in, the boy named Abraham (pictured above) aged 25 had canal knowledge of a young girl (name withheld) in a bush near the girl's home. The boy confessed that it was the second time of carrying out this kind of evil act after luck ran out on him today when his victim reported to students of Anambra State University Uli living in the area; the students, in turn apprehended the boy and alerted indigenes who gave the boy a massive beating.
The latest update I got is that the boy has been stripped naked by an irate mob who tied him up and was still beating him before policemen came and whisked the suspect away.

Law enforcement officers at Dubai International Airport discovered that the 40-year-old Nigerian passenger, C.J., had been carrying drugs in his intestines when they had him checked at the special detecting device at the airport’s transit terminal.

He was then referred to Dubai Police’s anti-narcotics department immediately after the scanning device exposed tens of capsules in his intestines. He was later escorted to the hospital where he was provided with a medical substance to help him emit the capsules.

He got out 45 capsules over a few hours. Dubai Police’s forensic laboratory confirmed that the extracted capsules contained nearly 1.7kg of cocaine. Drugs prosecutors have now charged him with smuggling 80 capsules of cocaine. If found guilty, he risks facing capital punishment (death).
